Wang Hedi devoured this role! His performance balanced the right mix of humor/silliness and intensity, and he excelled in the emotional scenes as well. It was simply flawless!
I can't say that I enjoyed the ending and the final revelation, but the last 5 episodes in general were amazing. I could taste the sweetness of his revenge, it was so satisfying. And before that, the part when he injured that Silver Gong dude was also amazing.
In the beginning I didn't want to watch it because it's comedy, but I'm glad I changed my mind.
I really enjoy this comment section! There's no nonsense & excessive thirsting over actors and most comments focus on the plot and characterisation/character development. It's great reading everyone's thoughts. I watched three currently airing dramas and this is the only comment section I actually like visiting. 😂
Descending to Earth and starting all over again? Only one possible action comes to mind and if TM ruined Hao Tian's plan he basically saved the world?
Also, why did ZM remind me of Jesus in that story of him getting angry at merchants and flipping their tables in the Temple 🤣🤣🤣
I really love the love story between Yan and Qingyang. I find them to be much more interesting than their reincarnated versions who were pretty bland. Also, Yan is such a cutie, a miserable cutie. Completely my type!
The next episode should be interesting. We'll get answers about what actually happened between the three of them. I can't wait!
I'm 99.9% sure it won't be played in theatres in my country. Over the years only 2-3 Chinese movies were shown here. I want to watch it on the big screen tho 😭
I haven't watched many xianxia dramas, so I wouldn't know if it's a common trope. However, I like the logic behind…
Oh, that. Uhm, I don't want to spoil anything but that issue will be resolved. It's unrelated to the things I wrote previously (their unfeeling divine nature and everything related to that). Sorry for the confusion 😅

Well, it's just a backstory. By the time we see them as characters, FL can already love, and 2ML also questions everything, is attached to FL and obviously feels *something*. I find it extremely interesting, but to each their own.
As for Ashes of Love, I already have it in my PTW list, but somehow I always pick something else to watch. The Last Immortal didn't really catch my attention, but I may check it out.
I'm with you for this cause to defend TMS! LOL. All of the characters have done amazing things to protect one…
I'm the biggest TMS apologist! 🤣 Yeah, I agree with that. A lot of people watch these dramas for romance, so any external interference is often met with hostility. It doesn’t help that TMS is trying to emulate romantic love, even though he doesn’t fully understand it. He only knows that Pearl promised they'd always be together, and suddenly she's refusing to stay with him and is willing to die for love that he sees as fleeting. Honestly, him not trying to interfere would feel even weirder in my opinion.
'unable to love'? why does it sound familiar? is it recyclable trope?
I haven't watched many xianxia dramas, so I wouldn't know if it's a common trope. However, I like the logic behind it in this case. The FL and 2ML are divine artifacts created to maintain the world's balance. They're not just forbidden to love, they're actually incapable of it. They can't see colors, taste things, or feel emotions, all to remain impartial. Over time, they begin questioning their own existence and in the end FL even 'learns' to love, which becomes the source of all their troubles.
She’s literally together with two men at the same time? I don’t understand can someone explain please
No. You're not watching, right?
She’s in a relationship with ML. However, 2ML and she are divine artifacts who have lived together since the creation of the world. Now that she’s in love with ML, 2ML realizes he doesn’t want to be left behind, so he’s trying to interfere and keep her by his side. There is no romantic relationship between them tho. It's more complicated than that, but that's the gist of it.
TMS, get behind me, I’m going to defend you against everyone! My guy really defied the big boss and descended to the human realm to save his bestie. Can’t they all just live happily in a poly relationship? 🤣
I like how they’re showing us their past. It makes it easier to understand ZM’s feelings of betrayal and even his quest to annihilate the deities. That decision couldn't have been made lightly, so I really appreciate that they’re showing us the backstory.
I need to watch Bloody Romance after I finish The Blossoming Love. I've already seen him in A League of Nobleman, The Yin-Yang Master and FOF but I never fully realised it's the same actor, even though I liked him in each of those roles. He's so good in TBL tho, completely caught my attention. Now I need more!
I once commented how NXY early on seemed like a broken human, like missing something and bit sociopathic. Well..…
That's so true. Even when he was NXY, he never fully acted 'human,' and that was especially evident in the scenes depicting his and Feng Yao's past. The way he resignedly accepted his fate was kind of chilling, not gonna lie. But there were also some interesting emotional outbursts, and that contrast (evolution?) was portrayed really well. It's hard to categorize or figure him out, which is why I find him so interesting.
EDIT: What I wrote doesn't sit right with me 🤣. He did act human, especially in the beginning when he was super nice and helpful, but the flashbacks we were shown later put all of that under question 🤔

All in all, 9.5/10

I don't remember what exactly happens in those episodes so you can write it and I can offer my perspective, if you want.
He came down to see what love is and ended up having the worst possible experience. 😓
You might be onto something. I do hope they touch upon that, however briefly.
