That's ALL we were asking for. Some soft moments like the hand holds, and the arms around his waist, maybe a sweet…
I think you probably hit a mark there about sequels. There is yet a sequel that I could find that would justice to the original storyline (whether in a BL drama or not). Because people expect the bar to be higher for the sequel if not at least equal.
With the original story, people usually do not have expectations, so the bar is lower and people are more forgiving. And like in a relationship, the excitement dissipates after the pair hooks up. The couple is more complacent if not have more problems, unlike the initial "courtship" before they become partners.
It happened with TWM:NC and a host of other sequels where it cannot outdo or even compare to the first.
Sometimes, to prevent this from happening, I try not to go in anticipating the sequels just to avoid disappointment.
Ahem, that was not a shower scene. For a shower scene, watch TharnType :P
I also find Gulf pretty attractive, especially off screen when he smiles, maybe it's also because he reminds me of Max (of TWM) when he crunches his brows (on screen).

Amen @ reefpicker i live for the sexual tension and honestly I'm probably one of the few who thought that Bathroom scene in MODC was bland. The same way the an@l sex scene in Like Love was to me (yawn), I prefer the scenes in TWM that leaves a lot to the imagination but the sizzling chemistry is palpable through the screen.
And this doesn't mean I'm a prude as I've seen my fair share that of gay sex like in Pornographer, Indigo Mood, Ambiguous Focus, Call Boy, which features simulated sex that is way more raunchy than MODC.
Hopefully we'll get a second season for next year! LBC is getting one.
I know about the LBC but Pete x Ae apparently will not be there and it's mainly about TinCan. Honestly, I'm probably only one of the few who doesn't like that pairing so I'm not really anticipating LBC 2. However I'm game for TharnType season 2.
I wouldn't use the word 'toxic' though. People makes mistake; people can be emotional, irrational, and immature.…
Yes, I agree. It's like he's thinking that he's always the victim and threatening to breakup just because things don't go his way is emotional blackmail. Tharn sure surrounds himself with sketchy people....especially when I know what a dickbag Lhong really is, I can't stand how he's coming across as the supportive best friend when I know the truth.
With only 4 episodes left and the preview for the next one seems like things would be worse...I don't know how they will end this series on a positive note...and I think I read somewhere that this is only half of the book.....
You're more patient than I am. I usually wait a year at most then if there's nothing online after a year, the chance of it appearing is very slim. Huhuhu.
I like Phana from the original better and Wayo from this....but to watch the same story by different cast especially…
I retract my statement...i picked this up again after being terribly disappointed with MODC. And i actually came to like it. Especially ForthBeam's pairing.
I am trying to watch history 3 but i can't get into it
I know... i have the same feeling for MODC. I was watching it before I started to watch TharnType (as I usually want to wait until a drama is finished airing to watch it) but because I liked Trapped and was kinda disappointed with Theory of Love, I started MODC. At first I was tolerating it, then in the middle I started watching TharnType...OMG this is so good that I just dropped MODC because I had problems with the directing, writing, acting, etc. Basically was quite disappointing when I am quite a fan of the History series and BL dramas in General, regardless which country it is from.
And when you go to MODC thread and express your opinion, it looks like you don't have a right to one.
I've been to other drama threads that have differing opinions and they are respected. But in certain types of dramas that rabid fans can't even accept criticism. SMH.
The worst? It’s not the best, but the worst? When HIStory1 exists?
I had no problems with the age gap if it's done right. And it's not like I don't like school themes as Crossing the lines is my favorite among the series but even so, I can't bring myself to like MODC. It's probably like what I feel for Obsessed, I just watch it just because it's there.

People are entitled to their own opinion just like you are. To the OP, this is the worst. To you it may not be. Like so many people loved Right or Wrong but I hated it. I liked Stay Away From Me from so much better even though it's from the first series. I had a favorite in each series and as well disappointments. It all boils down to taste.
On the flipside, how about the 10s when the show hasn't even finished airing. Just because it's History series…
Even though I don't like it as much as the other History series, I'm still supporting the production. I'm not as unfair to give something a 1 if I dislike it or a 10 just because I'm a fan. I have to weigh the pros and cons or else how could I give it a "fair" rating. I know there are a lot of 10 squads out there. Prime example is half of the top rated shows on MDL regardless of format or country are BTS shows. Now as an Army myself, although I know that there may be times where I prefer some shows over others and not just blindly rate 10s across the board just because. In the same token, I also watch a lot of low-budget independent productions that could be terrible but has some redeeming qualities on it, but how will I know if I don't finish it through the end??
Some dramas from even my favorite actors I couldn't even finish because of how the drama didn't show any potential for improvement
Ikr!! So many cringy and WTF moments like I'm wondering if that's naturally how Chinese teenagers act or just…
Exactly!!! I've seen so many independent dramas and movies with unattractive actors as in Buddy Park or the other titles from Strongberry or Matchbox but they were acted, written and directed better than MODC.
