So I definitely enjoyed episode 2 more than one. Not mad about episode one, it was so fucking needed 😂 but I am happy about moving on with the plot.

Yes, Lee Dong Wook is hot as fuck in this role, but I am watching this drama for Jian. I just love her arc from season 1. I love how she was all "I want no part of this", but even after leaving she is still forced to act and operate as if she was part of it all. Also... baby girl has massive PTSD with all these hallucinations.

I also hope she will just accept her new reality sooner than later. I want to see her work with her uncle so bad.

I am more on the soft angst than intense angst fuck side of the preferences 🤡 But damn the low-key masochist/sadist dynamics work here so well coz I did in fact feel like Lee Chae Ha was also into that 😂

Did I want to see more? Of course. I'd like the 8 episodes to focus on that revenge angst part and then have 8 more episodes to slowly progress into more. That's how the ending would be even more emotionally impactful. BUT I am still pleasantly surprised with how well they handled the progression of the dynamic while also balancing the investigation plot for such a short drama.

I do have 2 favorite scenes though:

Though there aren’t any fancy sets, the overall cinematography feels like a regular long-form drama. < this coz they used light and shadows so well! 🔥

For a short drama, there’s no luxury of time to let their romance slowly develop, and give us more push-and-pull tension. < this was one of my complaint too, but also I understand the limitations they were facing. If they go slower with the transition between love and hate, either the hate set up itself, or the conclusion would suffer.

Lee Chae Ha is not a pushover either. He might be on the quiet side, but will stand up for himself when needed. < yeah i was quickly convinced that he is not really a pushover, but he is a low-key masochist 😂 He just into it, that's why he isn't setting firm boundaries and saying no to Ju Tae Seon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Honestly, writers are often too obsessed about making their plots so complex, they don;t pay attention if their ideas can even be presented and delivered well. So I always appreciate when the production balances it well and stays realistic to what can be shown.

It's not groundbreaking, but it's fun and better than I expected. I think no matter the show and the quality, any shorter drama will have people criticizing the pacing and delivery. But then when dramas are full length people complain they are too long so 🤡

The power dynamics of Taeson and Chaeha and their chemistry was electrifying! < you know what I liked about the power dynamic here? That it flipped by the end. Chae Ha was the one in control and Tae Son was just doing what he could and what Chae Ha allowed to happen.

but the psycho lady < her spilling the tea in the parking lot was one of my favorite scenes 😂

lso, can we officially petition K-drama directors to give the beach trope a rest? < honestly for these two ending the drama in the office would probably worked better 😂 that beach came out of nowhere.

But also yes, they did surprisingly well balancing all the different aspects with such a shirt runtime 🔥

I am so annoyed it does not have more or longer episodes 😂 like now with all that tea I need 6 more episodes, not 1

It's not like the whole drama is some masterpiece of unique editing and directing, but it always have moments that I especially enjoy. Last time it was the midium-full/full shot to close up moments and how they hold the shot for a long time without cut. This episode I really liked the the transition between Ju I Jae leaving the hotel room, and sitting down at the river and then zoom out.

The POV of her wearing the sheep head was everything 😂😂😂😂😂 There are just moments like that. Or how the end the romantic scene between leads was with the owner of said sheep head cleaning it from leaves and staring at Ju I Jae who stole it - and them holding that scene for few seconds with romantic music in the background. Like I love these tiny editing and directing choices hahaha

Okay they are giving Lee Sang Yeob a love line, he ain't gonna be a bad guy 😂 GOOD 🔥 Also I love Seo in Uk and Chae Sa Rang meet cute in the elevator. I love how she wrote her number on his shirt to pay for the cleaning. And how she just left her blind date to find him and how he turned her down using Su Bin 😂 I can tell they are going to be fun low-key chaotic 🔥🔥🔥

Woo Su Bin spilling all the trauma on Ju I Jae was just 🤡 He is so lost he legit has no idea what he is doing. This was REALLY not the time for it.

You know what's funny. Usually actors do decent in every day mundane scenes, but struggle with more emotionally heavy. But I actually like Hwang In Youp's acting in these more heavy scene like the flashback of the abuse he endured from his father, than the every day shit 😂

Baby girl was in coma after being hit by a car and now in the present timeline she is still running through the crossing I cannot 🤡😂 And he still does not know she was hit and in coma right? Dude needs to find out. I need him to be even more angsty than he is right now 🥲🙂 It's high time for her to trauma dump on him 🔥

The love story they were writing together? Most fucking generic historical kdrama ever 😂 It would be a HIT 🤡

I FUCKING LOVE THE SLOW CLOSE UPS FROM THE MIDIUM-FULL/FULL SHOTS 🤡 They seem "dated", but they fit so well and I love how they "slow" the pacing of the editing. First one with Ju I Jae after Woo Su Bin said he will do the show, and then Seo in Uk after Su Bin left him without phone 😂The Lee Sang Yeob one was truly fucking gold 🔥😂

I get we had to see it all to understand the present timelines, but omg please less flashbacks now, I am all for that angsty pinning era as adults 😂 There is so much regret on both sides it's crazy. I also want to know if he knows what happened after he left or nah. If nah, I need to see him react to it ASAP 😂
