Basically he was the Prince in his past life. And Seo Ri was with him during the time they spent together since her soul was moved from modern to past times. So with Se Gye we have his soul in present timeline and past timelines as separate things, and with Seo Rin her past and present is the "the same" - in both cases it comes from modern era.

I think I figured out why this drama does not fully work for me.
Why I have fun watching the episodes, but I'm never truly excited to actually start them.

I do not care for Cha Se Gye as a character outside of his romance with Seo Ri.
I do not care about Seo Ri as a character inside her romance with Se Gye.
And that clashes so bad it's crazy.

I am half excited for the romance scenes coz of Se Gye, coz Seo Ri gives me bare minimum.
I am excited for Seo Ri's scenes outside of the romance.
I could not care less about any scenes with Se Gye that do not involve Seo Ri in some way...

So yeah, I'm sad now.

Display name - many users can have the same one. Mine is Kate. Her is kate.

No error, and they did nothing wrong either. Kate is far from unique name, there are many users who have Kate as their display name :)

there is just so much more personality in a slap 😂

Yeah I mean sometimes you just want to get angry in first 20 minutes and then saw people get their asses kicked next 40 minutes of the episode 😂

They actually did well balancing the exciting action and comedy with still showcasing how serious the topics are 🔥

The slaps were amazing, truly 😂

it only gets better 😂😂 wait till you see the rain scene in episode 2 🔥

I love how the controversy is - too much glorification of violence, while I'm here in my review complaining the teen girls did not get their asses beaten 🙃😂 Eye for an eye does not work in real life but damn it's healing to watch it in fiction.

Few thoughts:

🔥 Kim Mu Yeol as Na Hwa Jin was so hot I wanted to cry.
🤚🏻 The slaps were healing.
💯 Approved of highlighting that the true villain was actually the fail system not one or another individual person, but still everyone has to face consequences of their actions.
🤩 The fighting scenes were phenomenal forms of entertainment.

This drama is borderline fantasy and rather simplistic, but that's exactly why it works. This is a crack cousin of Juvenile Justice 🤡

i did not see the drama nor read the webtoon, but I saw enough posts in feeds to feel like it does make sense to be in the same universe ahahaha

This show is not pro equality, them bitches are not being slapped 😂

What I did like is how Im Han Rim did not overstep. When the homeroom teacher told her "this is my class time" she understood and backed off. Because it's all about building the teacher authority. So her getting involved would go against what they are trying to do. So I really like how she respected the teacher and the fact she wanted to deal with the situation herself.

Not gonna lie tho, no bitches being slapped was annoying. Especially when Na Hwa Jin told Han Rim not to kill anyone. She did not even hit anyone 😂😂😂😂

Loved episode 8, hope all that is shown in teaser for episode 9 is exaggerated.
I am not mad about Gyuri and Soyun still "fighting" for Wooyeol, but I dislike how it was shown in the teaser. It's one thing trying to make time with the person you like alone, and suggesting dates, conversations etc. But intentionally trying to bother them when they are spending time with someone else is a bit 🤡 This ain't how you win someone, this will just make them annoyed.

And I honestly love Gyuri with Seowon, but I think her dating style is a bit different from most guys in the house. She likes the butterflies and a bit of tension, but be it Seowon or Wooyeol, they lean more towards the comfortable (with calm comfortable with Seowon and friendly comfortable with Wooyeol). I still think it can totally work with Seowon, her and Wooyeol just do not match.

I think good example of it was their Japanese date. He kept talking how he wants to see more of her true and relaxed self, how he wants to see her with more tension and when she is comfortable with him, but she kept telling him - this is who I am, I am comfortable with you, this is how I act. He had different expectations and she had different expectations. He thought she will be more relaxed, friendly as they get to know each other, but her real self is this calm personality. She likes the tension he brings since he is a good flirt and keeps her on her toes which gives her butterflies, but this is not what he wants, he wants to move to that comfortable friendly phase fast. I feel like they are attracted more to their own expectations they had for the other person, than who they really are.

omg yes, especially in case of Yunso, because the guy was honestly overdoing it at some point I just started to feel uncomfortable...

i mean i have not seen the teaser but the ring would be a wedding ring his brother had and now he is keeping it.

that said, I rewatched the flashbacks moments (which also felt like perception test coz they were literally one frame flashes lol) and it seems like ML was friends with one guy and one girl, probably done residency together. He did look lovely-ovey with the lady so yeah she was probably his girlfriend/fiance. There was an accident that led to the male friend dying and that led to ML and the his girlfriend separating - for whatever trauma related consequences of the accident.
