"some scenes were generated using AI"
Me less excited to start Doctor on the Edge π
Not gonna like, watching Jae Wook pretend to struggle doing push ups is fun π
βοΈ"So what if time has passed? Scars aren't something that heal over time. Scars... are healed with money. If you're worried about my scars shut your mouth and open your wallet" π₯ππ₯ I knew I could trust in Shin Ye Eun and her choice of roles.
oh... Do Ji Ui is a psychopath... who chews pills to swallow? π€‘
You know what's the worst about AI in dramas? They ruin viewing experience, coz I hyperfocus on what is and what is not AI generated π
When Do Ji Ui opened his suitcase and it was heavenly organized, better than shower scenes π₯π₯
Also, damn I fear SLS coz Hyun Chi Yeon s fucking hot π₯π₯π₯π₯Maybe I do appreciate shower scene after all.
Yas bitch, heal his trauma and panic attacks with power of love and music π
Well, I enjoyed episode 1 a lot, but with fury in my heart coz of AI.
(the wise choice is Yoo Jeong tho π)
They are not showing any faces of the dudes in the past, so again, assuming ML and SML as reincarnations or just doppelgangers
But also, the way the show of her waking up in modern time was made was perfection. LOVE how we have a longer show starting with the close up to her face and then camera slowly moving away, with a bop of a song, her just sitting there confused and the production team moving around since they finished filming the scene. Such a good change of mood and tension from her dying.
Jae Pil as an asshole is so much fun π€£ Also Jae Pil is ML, just so you know. Heo Nam Jun will forever be Jae Pil for me π€‘ I am so used to him playing a nice guy since I mostly remember him from A Hundred Memories and When the Phone Rings, this role feels so refreshing AND HOT π₯ππ₯AND HE BROUGH DIFFERENT PAPERS FOR EVERY 10 SECOND PASSING DROPPING THE PRICE WHAT A MOVE π€£π€‘
Big thing I also appreciate how awkward and weird by modern standards Sin Seo Ri is right now. I feel like too often they start acting "well" and blending in too fast, whenever they migrate to past or presence. But this bitch is full on crazy mode and it makes perfect sense.
oh so Jae Pil throwing hands was a deepfake video? I am kind of disappointed π€£ I wanted him unhinged... π₯² But I love his reaction. Ain't no suing, he appreciated how well it was made, he buying the company π€‘
Half way through episode and I adore she is still acting like a royal consort from the past and not getting anything. This makes sense. Her thinking she is in hell after death. They always figure out they are in the future/past way too fucking quickly and act according to social normal associated with times. Ain;t here π€£
yoo... the queen took credit of her paining after she died... what a bitch.
One more thing I loved about episode 1 is how little screentime together the leads had. I love when I can get to know the leads as individuals first, before I dive deep into their dynamic together.
"Find a chaebol, slap the, date them" this is old kdramas way of living π€£
Honestly loved the first episode. I appreciate cast in their 30s. We do not need all the dramas being baby faced babies playing 30 years old characters π€£
There are things she need to own up to - like the way she treated her child... which guess what - she does in the show as the plot progresses. It's never THE focus of the show because it's not a drama about parenthood, but it exists as part of the plot.
I am not saying everything is ML's fault - what happened in their relationship tho IS HIS FAULT as he literally carefully curated it, including harming an animal to get close to her son. And killing her mother, and uploading online a video of her "fake sex tape"... I mean none of that was her fault. Don't you think the focus should be on punishing people who do wrong and not shaming people who are not "strong enough" to set boundaries?
Her being slapped is not her fault, not it is ML's fault. It's the person who slapped her fault.
As for her doing zero work on herself - that's literally THE PLOT π€£ You do not work on yourself while you are still in the abusive environment which she was in - which included her mother and "uncle" who sexually abused her as a teen and now tries to get back to her life using her job as a leverage. The whole plot is the journey of her slowly learning how to set boundaries and cut abusive people from her life.
Where is the line when the blame should be put on the person who does the wrong thing, not the person who was hurt?
