Both doc and Gyeo Re knew he woke up, why their conversation were still cryptic? Why not tell Gyeo Re - his personality did not change, he is pretending. His injuries were not severe enough for the personality change. He is lying. Let's figure out how to deal with it now.
No one doing anything about this makes zero sense. Even the mob makes little sense. So the current head knew Seok Joon is not cut for this line of work and is a "softie" like Gyeo Re and Joon Kyung, and yet he kept him close and asked him to do some serious job? And then he is surprised he finally broke down? Even tho he knew he can;t handle all this in long term and he just pretends? LoGiC.
Also, on what planet the new dude that took over the mafia would be like - a yeah the old boss showed up, time to give up all my power ๐คก He would assassinate the old boss the same day he got the call๐คฃ
The whole mob part of the show truly brings nothing to the show. All the messages could be told without it having so much focus. It could all be just a background/back story... I'm just so annoyed about it all. Every time anything related to it happens, it's so ridiculous I get annoyed, and it does not matter how amazing the next scene might be, I still have the bad taste left from the previous one.
She was slim in the past, never that skinny. It does make the difference. I'm sure she had botox/filler, young actresses have them too, everyone is industry does. But I cannot say with 100% certainty she had a plastic surgery.
Also, I am watching her interviews for Love in Contract and her face is rather expressive. she goes natural full smile and all. Sure she has no wrinkles... that's the fillers, not plastic surgery.
Anyway, what I mean is, the change is not drastic enough that it cannot be explained by her getting older, getting fillers and loosing weight. Is there a chance she had plastic surgery? Sure. Can you be 100% sure? No.
She always had more fat on her face, rounder cheeks and face. But now with this extreme weight loss (and she is REALLY SKINNY), her face got more slim, cheeks more shallow.
I'm so curious about Jung Ji Ho tho. That's some good set up for the mystery.
As long as the reasoning by the end will be solid.
Love me Min Young playing a 30+ years old woman who apparently puts make p daily, but cannot put a lipstick on ๐
Sang Eun and Gwang Nam? Iconic duo โญ
They did not show the killer during the killing, but would reveal it literally few seconds later? Makes no sense story telling wise. For me, it makes more sense it's someone from law firm.
Thoughts after 2 episodes - Love it.
The chemistry in May It Please the Court was so good and intense and overall attention gripping. Jung Ryeo Won and Lee Kyu Hyung work so well on screen together!
2nd half of episode 2 was awesome. The last few scenes? fuck sake yes! We all know what they revealed by the end of the episode cannot be true, but DAMN I WISH IT WAS! How fucking exciting this show would be if it was! ๐ Still got set up, even if we know it's a misdirect.
I need episode 3 - I think that's a good indication of how much I liked the first 2.
Also, what makes me extremely happy is the fact it's just 12 episode. There is a hope it will be as tight and thrilling till the end with no senseless bullshit fillers.
Anyway, for the opening week episodes - Kate's Approved ๐๐ป
He stands out, but on the shallow terms - catching the attention. But I feel like most of the depth and emotional impact is from her. I guess it depends on what someone is focusing on while watching. For me, she is far more interesting than he is, even if he is "fun to watch".
First of all - I hate Park Seung Ha more than Goo Tae Man. I take an evil asshole over an incompetent person who thinks they are good. How awful of a psychiatrist and coach she is - amazing. The amount of unethical behavior - amazing. How blind she is to how awful she acts - amazing.
Currently favorite character is a side one - Go Young To. Seems the most chill and mature - I vibe with it. Overall, I like "the team" a lot. Hope we will get more scenes with them scheming and planning. The con artists vibes they give are amazing.
So now, to the actually important business: plot and main characters.
Big yes to more or less everything. Big picture wise, I think they are doing great job balancing the over the top behavior of the ML, with more serious and dramatic scenes and developments. He knows when to turn the ๐คก off. Not to mention, the ๐คก side of him makes perfect sense - he is not just an eccentric for no reason.
Then we have Cha Ga Eul. Not gonna lie, I started the show for Lee Yoo Mi. Been a fan since 365: Repeat the Year and her role of Kim Se Rin (she was my favorite). Damn, the girl DELIVERS! She is, no doubt, the star of the show. The character is complex both internally and externally (in terms of the situation she is in). I think that's the overall positive aspect of the drama - it's rich in different contexts and factors that influence the characters, and the solution is not easy to find, since no one solution can solve all the problems.
I also have to say, Goo Tae Man is not easy to figure out from the 4 episodes. I legit more often than not have no idea what his plans and motivations are ๐คฃ I want him to have like a whole ass redemption arc, but I don't think it's possible. But when he is not abusive, he is fun ๐คก
Random thought for the end - another not romance driven show, that makes me ship characters hard ๐
Also, Lee Moo Gyeol the MVP of the newest ep.
To end on a good quote from episode 4:

Her love makes sense on paper with all the getting to know each other, him protecting her etc. But it was not translated well on screen - I did not see her growing her feelings, but her not having them, and the next time they met, her loving him...
but the overall plot... could have been improved...
I have to say, while some scenes were questionable and made me laugh (law student taking a child he does not know to sleep in his room? He should know how risky and "illegal" it would look for other people lol), I still had a great time. I appreciate how they showed both sides of the "opening sequence".
