this also fulfills the joke the ml mother made about betrothing them together when the fl was still a baby and her family members had surrendered to the ml kingdom and lived until their family was executed for treason because of ml father scheme(who later regrets it). this is why the show is called royal betrothal and the empire as a betrothal

so basically the fl goes with her people who are rebelling for their nation and justice for their royal family, the ml gets to know the whole story behind the past from his father who is retired with his mother, with their permission he decides to make her the empress and give the land that belongs to her as her fief and allow her to participate in its running without any interference and he also promises that their kid regardless of the gender will rule the whole land, only after this does the fl people agree to the union of them and together they fight against other external forces as allies

all these dramas these days are butchering the novels, why adapt then, if they change the ending for suspense its fine why change what is the core of the novel as in the backstory as such and still name the show after it.the last novel adapted drama that stayed true to it was pursuit of jade

i loved the novel of this show, it was written beautifully, here the writing has been altered for audiences and to run the show, even the writing is okay but the editing or rather the effect of scene which is a result of the acting, background music, cinematography and dialogues makes it seem like a low budget vertical drama or mini drama with its sequencing of scenes. its not bad but it doesnt live upto the script of the novel, those who like the show definitely read the novel for a enhanced experience

i dont remember when was the last time i was annoyed by a character to such an extent, the fl character is such a selfish,priveledged, self-motivated character ever, she doesnt let the criminal speak which is the foremost thing as a prosector to be done, she manipulates evidence and is hellbent on proving herself, the actress has done such a good job to the role, i dont think i will ever like her in other roles adn always remember her baddie one

the lady who reveals their relationship and talks about daughter which episode did she come in? i cant remember her

what is nora's age, they told that when the roomates were introducing each other, i mean if albert and hong has 10 year age gap, doesnt shin jung woo and nora also have around 10 years age gap, how come the mother is hell bent on setting them up?

there have been such instances like drunk kisses or ex kisses, but it is definitely not rare in cdramas

i hate how we never saw the reaction of colleagues to their relationship and any kind of approval towards the second leads that maybe there is a possibility between them

i agree i am a student in architecture and i have seen many shows that have shown architecture or related fields,like the korean show love next door and many others but this one carried it quite well linking passion for architecture and love quite well, in all other shows it felt just like a filler but here it is fully integrated in the shows point of view

i feel like the changed the whole baseplot, the brother and teacher plot and others, this just feels like mix of business proposal and withc's romance, the whole meetcute and her sincerity to her profession was what attracted me to the webtoon
