Wow !!! that's great, thanks for sharing, letting us who don't read novels to at least have a glimpse of it. This…
youβre welcome, thought Iβd back up my overall thoughts with some direct quotes πthis is my first time reading the novel for a series, but Iβm glad I did bc it truly added to the experience! β¨ & honestly thereβs some aspects I prefer in the series than the novel, but the novel itself is a gemβ¦ lots of love for pitbabe as a whole π«Άπ½π₯
I wish I could find this book for sale in English. I've read it three times on line already. π€ That being said...…
Iβd buy it in a heartbeat π€β¨π«Άπ½I wholeheartedly agree, wish they had more episodes to incorporate those finishing details but with the amount of episodes givenβ¦ they had no other choice but to leave out some bits and pieces π₯²Yes! ππ₯Ή
LOVED the series, but I wish it had ended a bit differently... this was the episode that I most wanted to follow the novel and in general, it did; however, it was the details that I was missing. Like the reunion scene between Charlie + Babe, it was missing the genuine longing and sadness... Charlie was definitely not smiling in the book and just nodding his head, he was concerned for Babe's life and demanding why Babe was in Tony's house. Charlie had a plan in the novel, but in the series it just looks like Charlie just shows up? Also, Charlie is very much part of the action throughout the novel but in the series.... especially the part where Tony is shooting at Babe, there is no way in hell that Charlie in the novel would have allowed that. In fact, Charlie shields Babe's body from the bullet that Tony sends his way while Way jumps in front of Charlie & that's how Way dies in the novel.
Excerpt from novel (source- Wattpad; "PIT BABE - Chapter 23 (Part2/2) Translated by Summ3r_Dawn): "However, when the last bullet in Charlie's gun had been fired and another bullet was heading towards Babe, the young man [Charlie] did not hesitate to rush in, cover himself and hug Babe tightly until they fell together." π₯Ή
Also, the last interaction between Babe and Way... wasn't much of a fan. Again, wish that dialogue had followed the novel, more bittersweet... π Excerpt from novel (source- Wattpad; "PIT BABE - Chapter 24 (Part1/2) Translated by Summ3r_Dawn):
"Maybe Babe was crying right now because he really wanted to hate Way so he wouldn't feel sorry for leaving this time, but since he couldn't do it, Babe screamed in discomfort and pain as he faced him." "'In the next life, please be nice to me. Don't deceive me again.'" "Way's simple funeral ended with Babe's tears and curses, but it was solely aimed at hoping that Way would be a good friend in his next life, to atone for his mistakes."
And there definitely should have been a scene between Charlie and Babe that went over Charlie's immense guilt over everything involving Babe bc in the series it comes off as if it's all water under the bridge... π₯Ί Excerpt from novel (source- Wattpad; "PIT BABE - Chapter 23 (Part2/2) Translated by Summ3r_Dawn): "The young man's [Charlie] feelings were still filled with worry and guilt, so Babe couldn't help but feel sorry for him. He knew that Charlie always thought of him first, and therefore, everything about him was a big deal to Charlie. 'Everything [as in what happens next] is on you [Babe]. I don't have the right to choose anything because I have made many choices for you in the past.'"
As well as the aftereffects on Babe... π Excerpt from novel (source- Wattpad; "PIT BABE - Chapter 24 (Part1/2) Translated by Summ3r_Dawn): "The more he heard it, the more pain Charlie felt in his heart. He thought too little, thinking that as soon as Babe woke up, he would realize that he was outside preparing food. In reality, Babe was still afraid of waking up and finding himself sleeping alone in his big bed. Babe was afraid that Charlie's presence here was just a dream and he was afraid that when he woke up, Charlie would disappear again like that time."
I just wanted more π but..... all things considered, I absolutely enjoyed the whole experience & I am grateful to have been a part of this journey with the series + cast from start to finish π
I haven't started this yet but have seen some shorts about this series. So my question is what's in the story…
to add on, reading the novel isn't necessary but I highly recommend doing so! π reading the novel has enriched my experience w/ this series by 10000% & I read the novel by the 10th ep I think π the novel just adds layers to the characters and plot as a whole, you get different POVs.... as for where to read it, it's translated on Wattpad by a user that has "summer" in their name π«Άπ½
IDK why folks want to compare the Thai remakes of Japanese , Taiwanese or Korean series (or vice versa)? Just…
Agreed, especially with this situation as the Japanese version was just that... a version. There's the manga that the whole concept is based off, so of course the Japanese and Thai adaptations differ π for some, the Japanese was a hit, for others the Thai hit different but no need to compare the two when they cater to different cultures and as such customs/traditions, mannerisms, humor, etc. π lets just enjoy + experience the magic *insert cherry magic intro song (so lovely, it's my new ringtone β¨π)* π₯°
are you serious? I donβt know if we watched the same show bc you canβt really be comparing an attempted r*pe,…
Yes, Way does say that as his excuse for trying to take matters into his own hands π Tony is the one who wants Babe to have a child, Babe can only have a child if it's with an Enigma, that's where Way comes in... Way has had a mission for the past 10 years and that is to get with Babe; however, as we know Babe doesn't see Way the same way. Now with Charlie in the picture, Way has failed to make Babe fall in love with him and eventually have the child. As a method of desperation, Way goes ahead and tries to force himself on Babe π€ his whole spiel of protecting Babe was just what he was probably telling himself to downplay the whole act bc the truth is that if Way were to follow through with the plan Tony would discard Babe (in a permanent way) after getting what he needs from him π
Yeah, I know many people feel the same way about Babe giving into Charlie right away. Personally, I love how Babe gives into Charlie bc usually Babe is quite reactive and aggressive with Charlie when there's a misunderstanding. There are a few instances where I wish there had been some time for Charlie to make it into Babe's good graces (like when he found out about Charlie being another adoptive son & the whole absorption of powers) but I know we are short on time... wish they would have cut some ads or product placements to add those scenes π
I agree, faking his death was extreme but I recently binged the novel and I found it to be very eye opening! Through the novel, you get Charlie's and Babe's perspective... and boy, the amount of tears I shed π Trust me, it wasn't an easy plan to come up with... but it was the only one that could work for them. In fact, Charlie wanted to tell Babe but he truly couldn't bc of Way. Since Way had been manipulating Babe with his power for so long + frequently, a link exists between the two.... meaning, whatever Babe knows, so does Way. In order for the plan to work, Charlie had no choice but to keep Babe in the dark. Charlie actually really hates himself for putting Babe through this and for always making decisions on his behalf, so much so he genuinely believes that he doesn't deserve to be in Babe's life... π₯Ί The novel is a gem, highly recommend reading it as it helped me understand the plot and the characters a lot better π€ I truly wish the series had done a better job in conveying all this, but there's only so many eps π₯²

I'm sorry, but Way was not protecting Babe nor did he carry out his actions with Babe's protection in mind. Way's intentions came from a place of selfishness, his supposed love for Babe was obsession and the only way (no pun intended) to do so in his moment of desperation was to take Babe in any way he could... through force. The fact that he kept Babe awake for his attempt was absolutely abhorrent, the fear + anguish + betrayal in Babe's eyes... π Charlie on the other hand, he devised a plan to help someone he didn't even know at the time and for that, his intentions are selfless in my eyes. While Way was obsessed, Charlie was devoted. For Charlie, Babe's safety always ranked first no matter what that meant for his own well being. I know it's only a show, but the bl industry has condoned enough toxic behavior and that will only be perpetuated unless such behavior is called out. That's my take on it, hope you enjoy the finale π€

Agreed, people will have different interpretations of characters and their actions. I don't think labeling actions as "unacceptable behavior" is unfair, some actions are universally unacceptable (ie. k*lling, r*ping) while lies are more on the morally ambiguous side (ie. ranging from white lies to straight-up lies). Again, external and internal factors are understandable, but not justifiable... I understand that Way has gone through a lot bc of Tony, but just because I understand where he may be coming from doesn't make his attempted r*pe comparable to Charlie's actions. Yes, I know it's your opinion and this one's mine... not heated, just tired of hearing excuses for Way π€·π»ββοΈ I absolutely adore Nut, completely and utterly dislike his character which only means Nut is truly delivering with his acting chops π
