/j indicates it’s a joke. I see you’ve watched ONE: HSH and I Am A Running Mate. Did you see the comments there (and other recent drama comments) asking if it’s a BL because of “the vibes”, or even one picture from a photoshoot (https://www.instagram.com/p/DKZIYF7zeFc/) or some cast photo? Some even rated them low because they were expecting a BL twist (??). I’m just parodying them because of this photo Netflix posted: https://www.instagram.com/p/DLQ6tqsJViz/ .
Can you give a spoiler about the end? Was it a happy ending? Do you recommend
Not a happy ending per se, but a hopeful ending for the main character and the female lead (no romance, they were just doing well in their own lives). I recommend watching it atleast once if you have time, it was an interesting concept and an enjoyable experience if you love drama, political foul play, and rivalry. For me, the standout performances were Yoon Hyunsoo (Noh Sehoon), Lee Jungsic (Kwak Sanghyun), and Yoon Dogun (Kang Jaewon).
Ugh I'm so disappointed by the comments and reviews. Can't really tell whether the drama is THAT bad or it's just…
Maybe they thought it’ll be like Weak Hero Class (I’m not sure why? Not every school drama needs to be about physical fighting.), whereas all the trailers, posters, and promos gave off the vibe this is more about politics, cliques/popularity contest, and petty drama. More campus drama vibes but with a high school setting. Maybe they went in with completely different expectations.
just saw the episode 1 somewhere thought it was suppose to air tomorrow??
U+ MobileTV releases their episodes at midnight as far as I remember from Night Has Come and Branding In Seongsu days, so when it hits 12am in Korea (00:00 KST) they release the episode. There will be 4 30-minute episodes this week Mon-Thurs if it follows the same pattern as previous shows.
This drama has me giggling loudly in the middle of the night. Episode 2 gave How To Lose A Guy and I loved it. Not all her plans A to E to running away failing! FL’s boy disguise 🥸 ML was PREPARED LOL he had the sketches ready. Really hope Eunae and Sugyeom (2FL and 2ML) become a thing, it’s been hinted at plus they’d be cute together. Going strong so far, hope they can keep up the momentum!
Fun first episode and spicy ending. If you like shows like Bridgerton, you’ll probably like this; it’s a bit of fun and indulgent escapism with luxurious food, clothing, shopping, tea parties, high-rank families, eligible bachelors, and drama/gossip. I’m liking it so far. Looking forward to more episodes!
Not only is he a great rising actor with a well-expanding filmography, he’s a sweetheart as well, he’s so pleasant and smiley in his promotional events, does well in photoshoots and interviews, and interacts with his costars regularly. It’s so easy to root for his success! Lee Jungha fighting! ♥️
Regarding the choking: We know the walkman belonged to Euigyeom’s brother, and in one scene we’re shown another person choking him at night while wearing the headphones. It’s likely his brother was severely mentally ill/disturbed and choked him at night. I think now that his brother is gone, he needs to do it to himself to be able to sleep, sort of like a lullaby from a person he misses.
I love Ena. She’s so smart, mouthy, and confident. She says what she wants knowing she can face up to the consequences and never tones herself down for anyone. But she also has empathy, isn’t immune to fear and anxiety, and calls for help whenever needed instead of handling everything on her own. She knows the importance of collaborative effort, and seeking Hansaem out whenever in need has helped progress the case so much faster. She’s no-nonsense; one sentence from her to the policewoman - “Even if you tried to stop the car, the outcome may not have changed.” - probably helped ease her distress a lot. And of course she’s gutsy, and Hansaem has joined in on her wrecklessness too, cornering the killer real quick. I love her and hope she gets the best outcome possible in the final episodes!
In the past, the development people wanted to demolish the park and build something there, they had investors ready and had promised them an outcome. The amusement park owner family refused as it’s their family business and legacy. So the development people hired the three deceased bad people to abduct children from the park so they go out of business, and promised them things (like the restaurant) as well as the apartment unit. The family still didn’t budge so they wanted to scare them but ended up accidentally killing the couple (one of whose dad still runs the place). The developers bribed or threatened the two police officers (Ena’s uncle and Yang Jeongho) to cover this up, and gave them apartment units in their name even though they didn’t want them. The couple’s child was sent to an orphanage, and Jeongho kept supporting the child and everyone in that orphanage out of guilt and to repent. The child grew up and is going after everyone. Ena gets the puzzle pieces because her uncle was trying to protect her (threatened by the developers), so technically she is a reason his or her parents didn’t get justice. The victim killed out in the field was talking about dodging green belt and illegally constructing, so he was likely involved in the original case.
I really want more of Ena+Hansaem. I hope we get a second season with more cases!
