This show has taken YEARS off my lifespan oh my anxiety is through the ROOF.

Heroes have to either be smart or be able to fight. Ahyun isn’t very smart, and has herself and the kids jumping headfirst into the lion’s mouth. But she can fight and can be a quick thinker when cornered. Juan is the voice of reason, he’s more rational, but the rest are ready to launch themselves into action and fight at any given moment. It makes for some very exhilarating action scenes because they’re in fight-or-flight mode and are a little underprepared each time. They’re so young and outnumbered I panic each time instead of looking forward to some cool action scenes like I do when the heroes and villains are on equal footing.

That and the villain’s irredeemable evil nature truly keep my blood pressure high and have me at the edge of my seat. Hoo Lord I have watched some despicable characters but Sehee is something else. She really went and turned her psychopathy and absence of maternal warmth into a business catering to the 1%. Creating kids this way is already immoral (because the donors are unaware of the kids’ existence) and extremely questionable, but the refund and disposal system is just truly, TRULY unthinkably despicable.

This show evokes very strong emotional responses and I feel that is one of its biggest strengths. The science fiction aspect is cool too but please burn that system and the “algorithms” and that whole facility down, and Sehee while at it! I will be satisfied if they kill off Sehee the same way she disposed of those kids. No police, no noble idiocy, no leniency, no forgiveness, NO MERCY!!

OMG I laughed so much when it was HIM that showed up as the husband. They really dropped that on us. I was expecting someone more ahjusshi-like.

That offer sounded more like an insult, and I think “excusing” his mistakes is how she keeps him loyal (“You are useless but I accept you, you should be grateful.”). She’s very manipulative and I think she knows how to press the right buttons in her people, saying things that will sting more than screaming at them would.

I hope that detective finds the kids and helps them instead of foolishly going to the "parents" and blabbering about the kids being alive.

Their ahjusshi Taesik trained them and provided them with skills and equipment. He knew it would come to this one day and they would need to be prepared.
