I have the same feeling regarding Yang Zi's acting.... She's definitely matured a lot... I didn't think I would have been able to get past the first few episodes, but her portrayal of a guy was quite enjoyable...

I totally believe you and I had tears rolling down my face while reading the beautifully written scenes of XL-XY and the epilogue thanks to some members posting here and in the discussion section above... I wasn't ready but the epilogue shattered my heart to a million pieces (and the sinking of the titanic, UGH). I've been healing ever since from my grief over XL... so much so that I'm now in acceptance mode knowing what will become of them...

Sure... I think the spoiling is helping me process my sinking ship as I am now in full acceptance mode forwhat fate has in store for my one and only CP - XY/XL. With the passage of time, the blow is softening.... 🥹

Didn't XY hang out with FFB to try and figure out who he is? This guy who tried to kill her cousin Xuan while sitting atop the majestic white horse in the sky. I mean she even said that with his precise archery skills, Xuan would have been killed...so her protecting Xuan stopped that close situation. She doesn't think FFB is XL, even though there's a strong resemblance. With the poison she put in the wine and FFB getting poisioned by it, she was able to talk herself out of that assumption. So, she's spending time with FFB to try and get to the bottom of his true nature, his intention... but during the process, their outings turn out to be fun, adventurous, and she seems to enjoy herself... And, yes, she's also making Jing jealous, but that is not the only reason for her to spend time with FFB.

And, plus Jing died on their wedding? (haven't read the novel, so basing this off of what I've come across on MDL) so they were to be married, yes? So, she had to love Jing if she's going to marry him and naturally, she would be devastated if he died.

Regarding "when the love is not enough, you have excuses," I think differently about this... XL isn't just any guy... He is of the enemy camp. He's trying to kill Xuan, her cousin/family, right in front of her. And, she will always protect Xuan... so she is not suppose to fall in love with the enemy or marry the enemy... Thus, she will and is suppressing her feelings for XL. But the feelings keep coming up indirectly, and she herself, doesn't always know why. She's still in the dating phase and exploring her feelings with these guys via her interactions with them. She's comfortable with Jing because of their years together and he's always doting on her and making it easy for her to relax and act like a girl.... I do think she likes and thinks he's probably the best husband material... but I think her feelings for XL are deeper/more intense, but she will suppress it/not think about it and not act on it... IMHO

I think you're having too much fun with this... LOL 😂 Aside from the drama, comments on this page are just too entertaining.... helps relieve me the pain and frustration I feel for my sinking ship...

Part of me thinks, she can boss Jing around, but wouldn't be able to with the other 2... and Jing would cater to her every need and whims with adoring, puppy eyes...😂

I know XY was testing FFB... but can she as the Haoling Princess abandon her position, family and live a carefree life... at this point in the drama?

IMO, I wouldn't say that Chenrong is more important than XY... It's more like 50:50 He cares for both, and therefore, won't give up on either one... he serves the army, and also saves XY so she can have a happy, dependable home for the rest of her life with TSJ, even if it means giving up some of his lives...

Wow... that's wonderful! So happy for you and your parents to have that experience. My parents were constantly fighting during the 30 years, so they're better off not being together, IMO. My dad remarried and has a new family, so I'm very very happy for him. Was it hard to me to get adjusted to the idea of divorce - yes, at first, because as a child I was told that the American way is not good, because they're not family oriented, parents easily divornce, nothing long term, Asian values better... and look what happened? So, I would prepare young people to best be flexible, anything can happen. Most importantly, be healthy and whole and don't depend on the other person to make you happy... you need to be happy for yourself.
