Not to mention Japan already did the dead wife storyline in Ossan's Love: In the Sky, so all this nitpicking from…
Sorry let me rephrase that a bit, since there seems to be a misunderstanding with what I meant:
1) I am NOT saying that they took the dead wife from the spin-off. I am only saying that it isn't something new, and has been done before, whereas these people are acting like it's the end of the world. Did they also lose their minds when they replaced Tin's mother with his sister in the HK version? (Asking genuinely, because I don't actually know.) Because to me, that was a weirder choice that didn't really add much, but maybe it's just a HK thing, I don't know.
2) I am however saying that they CAN choose elements from the rest of the franchise if they so please. (Like the 2016 SP, the movie, In the Sky or the spin-off episodes from the main series and In the Sky)

Not what I meant. I think it's fine to take elements from every part of the franchise. It makes it more interesting than just a straight up retelling of the story.
I don't really understand why people are so upset about the changes in the Thai adaptation of Ossan’s Love.…

Saw a tweet of someone complaining about the change in the shower scene and also claimed they removed the bi representation…
They also seem to have made an effort to make it less problematic in general, so I am glad they still included the shower scene (albeit a bit altered) despite of that.
Saw a tweet of someone complaining about the change in the shower scene and also claimed they removed the bi representation (which isn't true) but they fail to realize that with that one line, they have also removed the more problematic traits for Heng. He still obviously likes women, they just don't make the distinction for it to be big-breasted women this time around. That is really it.
This is coming from someone who finds the line in the original iconic, by the way. I just get the feeling these people are judging this adaptation based on two out of context screenshots they saw on twitter, and aren't actually watching the show.
I just started watching and I cannot unhear the damn plushie as Kokichi from Danganronpa. I know it's the same voice actor, but that's just straight up Kokichi and no one can convince me otherwise.
I got the feeling they wouldn't include it from the trailer alone. Sad to see I was right, but again, I do understand why they decided to not include it.
I just don't really like the last scene i hope it's an imagination
It is unfortunately one of the most iconic scenes from the original, so I understand why they kept it in. They did change it a bit for the Thai version, however. I'd say it definitely feels less problematic overall so far (mostly because of how Heng is written compared to Haruta in the JP version.)
It's meant to be over the top / overkill, that's how it is in the original Ossans Love too :D!
I do still recommend it, but it is definitely the kind of show that's not meant to be taken seriously (give or take a few scenes). It's very chaotic and I understand that's not everyone's cup of tea.

I 100% agree! That being said, I think Earth is doing a good job so far. I was a bit skeptical when I realized he would have the role of Haruta (since Haruta is such an animated character), but I'm definitely seeing the vision so far. They also seem to have removed his more problematic traits (and thus also one of the most iconic lines from the first episode RIP) which I kind of understand.

Does that make more sense?
