that's why it's a spectrum. why do you feel the need to bring this counter opinion? Autism just like OCD is on…
Just going to point out that Woo Young Woo will never be a good broad representation of someone who is “autistic”—because she is a savant. Also it’s not really “levels” for Autism as much as it is “levels” for aspects of Autism; I wouldn’t consider WYW level 1 in all of the aspects.
That being said, there are differences in how autistic people act depending on their country and more specifically their culture and society. I think it’s hard to speak on how accurate/relatable this character is to those born and raised in Korean society who are autistic. But it’s probably not going to be super similar, again, give that WYW is a savant. The hallmark of Savant Syndrome is localised high aptitude (very often alongside some degree of disability whether in development, cognition, neurology, etc.) so I wouldn’t agree that masking is necessarily to be expected even though she’s obviously written to be exceptionally bright.
Like you suggested, OP criticising the character for being/acting “cute” however misses the mark. They say “autism comes in all forms, it’s not the naive little girl you picture” BUT the thing is, sometimes it IS a “naive girl”. If anything, I would say WYW isn’t accurate because the mannerisms really are too exaggerated more than that the character acts too “cute” or similar.
i usually feel like that but there definitely are some exceptions. for me, one is The First Responders. i have…
The script is currently being written for season 2 so season 2 being confirmed to not happen is not correct. That being said, a second season can’t “ruin” a first season; the second season might be bad but if the first season was good, it remains good. Anyway, each to their own.
I’m reading the comments and i am genuinely wondering if I’m being punked. The acting is so bad, like literally…
oof lol. i was thinking about watching this bc i loved Kill to Love and this seems like it has some similar themes. i’ll probably still check it out but i hope that while CBLs are obviously going to be released more often now we still get some nice little gems with quality stories and believable acting 🙏
yes, he would’ve had more songs produced but now he has a more rich repertoire and became a very unique artist.…
there definitely a lot of idols who compose their own music. even if the group he would have debuted in, there is a lot of experimentation and the members have a lot of input in their songs.
but i agree that his repertoire would have looked much, much different than it does now and frankly he has some absolutely beautiful songs. it would be a shame to have never heard them.
i genuinely think the biggest issue would have been that he would have faced the same treatment as so many other idols who venture into acting; there are fans who don’t like when idols act (especially when there are scheduling conflicts). often this results in people trying to get members removed from their group; it’s really unfortunate.
in any case, i’m really glad he has been so successful in his chosen path and that we get to see so much of his art (acting and singing and everything else) 🥰
when he didn’t debut with NCT i was so sad. but i’m glad that he didn’t because, frankly, i think his career is much more interesting and has been much more fruitful in acting. he acts really well; his micro expressions are great especially when his characters have been betrayed.
and as an actor he can still sing, release music if he wants, etc. but if he had have been an idol, any acting gigs would have been few and far between (and there would be a lot of criticism from fans as there always is when idols take on roles outside of their group).
i really hope he is booked and busy with main roles from now on!!! i only have seen him in My Royal Nemesis and When the Phone Rings but have become a big fan :)
Had big expectations for this drama. It had a good start but it’s fizzing out for me 🥺 I hope it picks up…
I feel like I was disappointed in the start then really excited now a little bit underwhelmed again LOL not the kind of rollercoaster I expected/wanted
Has he started working as soon as he was born ... The list of projects he has done is so long..
Haha it’s because he was in the kpop group SF9. The way variety shows are ordered in MDL is kind of weird, sometimes; for example, he wasn’t actually performing on Music Bank in 1998, it’s just when Music Bank first aired. And most idols/ex-idols will have HEAPS of variety show appearances because even if they only appear in one episode out of thousands, it will be listed!
I loved it. Is this really Jin Yun first drama? He did amazingly well, and the emotions he delivered through his…
I thought the same about Jin Yun! And it makes me sad that he hasn’t acted in anything else because he seems really talented. As soon as I finished this I decided to watch the rest of his dramas—only to find that by watching See Your Love, I already had watched them all🤭
i love how in the next ep preview cha segye is running for shin seori but stops to look at his reflection to make himself all nice and tidy first 🤭 i really love this so much BUT wish all of the episodes dropped at once!
I REALLY REALLY want to watch this 😭 but i can't wait for one week for a single episode 😩 please tell me…
i think it’s two eps per week, no? but either way—i started watching a regret it LOL. i really like it. i’ve been waiting all week for the next episodes 😭

Hopefully that makes sense, haha!
