The story look interesting at first but it become increasingly boring the more it goes. I feel like almost all the character in this series not interesting enough for you to root for and you just want to fast forward to unravel the mystery.
Finally finished this. This got to be one the best crime series that i watched. Actually i don't like ML character in 1st eps, he feel like your usual loud police detective but after he settled down back in his old place and i love his banter with his partner LYW. And the last eps with YY, wow that so heartbreaking. Not forget the OST, it really bring the mood.
How on Earth did this pass censorship? It’s almost like Infernal Affairs….
If you follow CDrama or movies you'll know it will pass censorship if they make sure all criminals get their punishment in the end. Thats why in crime drama you always have long lext in the end that explain it. Now i dont think Infernal Affairs ending will pass their censorsip though
Watching this after Breaking the Shadows and this one def more good and high quality. Its more mystery than thriller but the music and ost really make this series enjoyable. Im still not finish it so hopefully its quality stay the same and not dropped.
Pretty good crime thriller but for Light On series i expected more. I thought this will be dark and violence after watch 1st eps with dismembered body case but then it just become regular crime investigation case. Last 3 eps save it imo when the sister story revealed, sister should be have more prominent role. In term of cast, what can you say about Sun Li. She actually the real main lead in this series, Luo Jin role is more like guest star i think. The amount of time she have crying and angry scene in last few eps and boy did she do it perfectly esp her crying scene, she bawling her eyes out.

2nd season in another place should be good i think. Yeah, i don't like how they handle Lan character in the end. And Buddha, they don't show it outright but didn't he rape Lan and Xiao Lian? This guy should not dead like that!
Start pretty good but then they killed Lan abruptly which is one of character that i enjoyed in this series. Buddha might be one of the best villain in drama that i watch. Still surprise they already planned to make a 2nd season, i might check it out if it release later.
Im just curious what her sister connection with all this case. Her flashback scene when she at Zhong Wei house just remind me of their last drama together and then the scene where she regret about her parents accident...Sun Li is such a great actress.
