As much as I was not a fan of Jing soggy noodle, can we really hold it against Xiao Yao for choosing him? I mean…
If only XY had really embraced her attraction for XL. They could have fled and no one would have ever catched them. But she was too coward to consciously love XL back. The ending would have been different. Indeed, XL was so tempted to love her openly. But he kept remembering her harsh words to prevent himself from showing his feelings. Poor damage girl, she messed up a great love story.
I just watched „The Double „ and It reminded me of this drama. Of course this drama is perfect but there was…
Thank you. This should not be a problem. I like dialogues. My fav legal drama is "Suits". To date no other legal series surpassed this one. So I might like it, thanks.

I agree with you about jisoo. In this drama, it was as if she could only show 1 expression on her face. That's unfortunate. But like you I still liked the drama. I did not even mentioned her.
About "The Double", I guess that you did not find what you were looking for in it. Actually, I read people saying that, there was no romance in it. And it is funny because you say exactly the contrary. This tells me that you are very sensible person capabable of analyzing situations very accurately. You noticed every aspect of this drama.
The fact that you praise "Nirvana in Fire" so much, makes me want to watch it even more. Thank you

I get your point but I think that romance brings another aspect in "The Double" . I have not watched "Nirvana in fire" yet ( just add it to plan to watch list).
This is a political / espionnage/ action k-drama with a sprinkle of romance. I couldn't agree more with you if it was for this drama because the story required it. The Male Lead especially.
But the story of "The Double" feels more open to me. And I truely appreciate the romance. I would say that the romance made sens due to the characters spychology. It even brought a new dramatic angle to the story.
I wanted her to be more cruel. Wanning is not only evil but one of those people who use their previous bad experiences…
No at all, you are very much welcome to do so. I missed your essay. It is very interesting to read. It made me picture the scenes in my mind. I totally agree. This bittersweetness part of his psychology makes me understand him more. It makes him more human like. Thank you ^___^
There is a five-minute episode 40.5 to make sure the viewers see the happy couple happy with a kid.
This is an ancient drama, so ancient rules apply to it. You can express you disagrement again and again on the basis of your believes. But History was recorded in books. Producers, writters and directors make research based on history before releasing a piece.
So as evidently you disagree with history itself on the basis of feelings and hypothesis of yours. I have the impression that nothing can make you see the happy ending. Not the episode 40.5 nor the clues in episodes 40. And even less the symbolism.
