I disagree. If it is about the easthetics , slow motion etc ... There is a lot of scenes like this in the drama ( when Duke Su is training under water for example. And those scenes are not dreams or after life vision. So I disagree.
Viewers like Xianxia with open/sad endings. I guess this the reason.

I am exactly like you. I was happy because I understood that the reunited happy. I even wanted to see them clutched with a last kiss for it to be perfect. Like in " gone with the wind ". that kind of classic ending.
But I was suprised by the number of people who believed Duke Su was dead. Those people also tried to convince me Duke Su was dead. I had to say something. I hope the post will help.
