She tried to kill both of them. The eldest-born son, the most likely to inherit, was definitely the most important…
Yes this is the case…chairman’s 3 children - 1 got disowned & the other 2 weren’t business savvy…the grandchildren were a business obstacle so getting rid of them also makes sense…that plus she controls the chairman with predictions of bad events that she herself created to come true & being there through his grief is a controlling tactic for her fraud.
Not as bad as everyone seem to constantly poing out 🙄 But on a different note…did production forgot to hire a hairdresser for FL? I mean I can understand that her hairstyle brings out a softer look they want for her character…hair down weirdly makes her look spunky, catty & quite the extra girl next door look but the ending should have some effort put into it. Overall is a decent drama to pass the time.
on 2nd episode and it feels overrated.. will try again later maybe
Keep watching…I was in the same boat…watched the first 4 eps on the 2nd week it was released & stopped, plot direction & script wasn’t to my liking at all & rolled my eyes at all the fuss with its ratings…..took having some serious boredom to continue it again today & quite frankly I’m sitting here upset that I have to wait a whole week for new eps. Script came back around & both leads are more than likeable, even got teary & most of all the plot is unfolding on a great fast track.. making me curious how they’re gonna keep the memento up for the next 6 eps since dragging plot twists till the end aren’t a thing here. I’m torn between waiting for completion to enjoy the rest of the eps in one go or reward my curiosity & watch eps after their release each week… but then I get the feeling my impatience side is not gonna like that at all. 😫
coz she was a spoiled brat (this is how her char at that age is described in the novel, and in drama SZ is exactly…
She’s a diversity actress…I get that she can pick up any work. Her age & character she picks is not my issue….a student her age in this drama can be consider a young women but her a playing a dense immature one and dragging it for majority of the drama wasn’t what I was expecting…of course that doesn’t deter me from enjoying her works but this particular one was a hard pass. I get it & like I mention that’s ok since this type of romance isn’t my cup of tea…in fact I don’t watch most dramas for the romance part but would enjoy it if acompanied with complex or interesting plot. This drama as whole just didn’t hit the mark & it blows my mind that it gets higher ratings than some great ones out there. But that could be me being bias. If you were to replace the main leads with lesser popular actors this would be considered a flop. Smart move on production but having good looking actors with chemistry shouldn’t beat great written dramas with high quality plots out there in ratings. 🤷🏻♀️
Choi Ro Sa got off too lightly 🙄 can’t stand it when writers redeems characters right in the end after spending the whole series writing about their harmful manipulations 🤦🏻♀️
coz she was a spoiled brat (this is how her char at that age is described in the novel, and in drama SZ is exactly…
It would make sense but honestly don’t want to see it again…perhaps the high expectations came from picking this up right after watching Who Rules the World & not to mention that the ratings are over exaggerated even if I can see all the valid points for it. But that’s the way of things….i can except that my cup of tea is simply not the same as most ppl who claims this is the best drama out there. 🤷🏻♀️
coz she was a spoiled brat (this is how her char at that age is described in the novel, and in drama SZ is exactly…
It doesn’t get better if you’re annoyed with that to be honest….i finished it but couldn’t stand her in this. That’s saying a lot when she’s one of my top 3 C-drama actresses 😔 I keep waiting for her smart, strong & charismatic character to appear but this wasn’t it. This is simply a fluffy predictable crush-turn romance between a dense high schooler & Oppa friend…would have been a decent watch if I hadn’t gone in with high expectations but wasn’t expecting her to go back to playing such a silly dense character when she’s done so well with great smart outspoken ones in the past.
It wasn’t too long from when he found out himself…I think he found out at the end of ep 17-18 & she became aware about 3 ep later. So my best guess is ep 21
Seriously who still writes these phone interruption plot lines into dramas🤦🏻♀️😆 Perhaps can get away with 1 in a drama but constant occurrences here was a bit much & showed lack of imagination…this never happens in real life lol The only reason I’m giving this higher ratings than it should is that there wasn’t an ‘overly’ malicious character against the leads….its a nice change to watch a C-drama with 30+ episodes and not see a vicious or a completely hateful evil character, especially in a business focused drama. Just needed a chill drama with no outward dramatics to pass the time & apart from some dragged out plots this was good enough for it.
Grandad’s gf is Yoon Eun Seong‘s mum? Maybe she was the lady that gave birth in jail & he ends up in the orphanage. Won’t be surprised if she’s the main mastermind.
I mean the cameras were ment to be found in order to set up Baek Hyun Woo…all of them except the portrait one….so, how convenient that she managed to spot it like that at the right time. She comes off manipulative & suspiciously too patience hanging around for 20 years without expecting marriage on the table. Something is off with her.

It’s like my whole point just go over your head…you really need to STOP this assuming habit of yours 😫 No I was never “too focus” on their chemistry nor that I ever said he never has chemistry with a co-star….my comment was simply stating the obvious from mine & many point of view and it’s for his dramas in “modern plots”…And I never said the lack of chemistry effected my whole view of the drama because believe it or not most people watch dramas for things other than romance so to say that I should avoid all his future romance is just telling me that you’re reading my comment with the mindset to argue with me instead of actually understanding, allowing or accepting other ppl to have their own opinions differ from yours. Ok you keep that mindset but honestly would rather not continue this pointless back & forth. Thanks

No you’re assuming again cause I understood it completely…my comment was that he had no chemistry with FL not that he doesn’t love her, which you yourself indicated the character is not about chemistry. Again chemistry is chemistry…it’s not a complicated thing unless you yourself don’t understand the word. It’s there or it’s not…not gonna assume or see the love & support he shows the FL as an underlying weird cover for chemistry…like you said his character is written that way. And I did say it’s a step down. Again it’s not a bad thing to enjoy a drama without it cause I did but calling it what it is….a decent drama about love without chemistry between leads.

I actually never said I don’t like him….I like slice of Life dramas which this drama is, romance is a bonus if it’s good but that’s not why I picked up most dramas…after many years of watching K-dramas & C-dramas you just know not many are without romance in comparison to those with it, so you just watch what you feel would be a decent plot. Would enjoyed this without the romance but since the plot is written with it, I of course would have some expectations…here feels more like best friends who are soul mates, we see there’s lots of love, care and support but absolutely NO chemistry. Nothing wrong with that but Note the difference.
And yes he is better as a 2nd love suitor…and in those dramas he was the ML. He is even better in his dramas without romance…this feels like a step down to what he can actually do. So yes it’s very possible to like an actor/actress without liking them in certain roles 🤷🏻♀️

Basis of good Chemistry? lol Assuming much are we? I don’t mind if it’s kissing or no kisssing- chemistry is chemistry💁🏻♀️ which ever way Currently watching Meet Yourself, I’m halfway & everyone is saying it’s slow burn….it’s riddle with chemistry already and I have still yet to see them kiss.
YSW being shy and diffident is okay, he’s acting is top notch enough to trick the majority but it’s not there…his eyes & stances don’t show it. Simple. And I’ve watched enough of his dramas to read the same in his approach towards romance….its no-longer a written approach, it’s simply his way. He has more chemistry playing the love sick 2nd ML than direct acting as the 1st ML.
Much prefered ML in costume dramas playing with swords ….. I’ve seen 5 dramas he was in & he never has chemistry with his co-star in the modern ones. 💁🏻♀️ This drama & his vibe is very similar to his other one Run On. As for FL…….hmmm she was certainly happier but I can’t help feeling she didn’t have much character growth except depending on ppl around her to feel happy.
