I went into this movie thinking it was going to be similar to the reply series, however it was quite different. There's a less-modern style because the movie takes place in late 1900s, but the plotline is similar to the youth and childhood friend turned to lover type. At first I didn't like the main girl, but she turns more likeable and the second lead becomes a big red flag lol. The acting is great :) lee jongsuk never fails to impress and kim boyoung is really cute as usual heh I recommend watching this movie, however, it's not good enough to be considered an amazing piece that's unforgettable.

I finished watching this drama within a month since I was so attached to it I couldn't stop watching. The plotline is so gold. It criticizes the system of teaching and how families would do anything in order to keep their reputation and improve their children's education. I personally could relate to this drama very much since I too am a student who just recently submitted their applications. The stress over rankings, grades, maintaining my reputation, and ofcourse, the multiple tests you have to take are all incredibly real to me. The casts were amazing. There's no one else who would do a better job. This drama does an incredibly great job of evoking my emotions of anger, sadness, empathy, hate, as well as humor. I am glad this drama is one that has so much to take away from. I highly recommend Sky Castle to viewers of any age range. (Also remember to prepare some tissues I sob in like every episode it just really hits home for me.)

I watched this movie because I really like the actor, but I decided after watching the OST video, to give it a try. The beginning is a bit cringey along with some parts throughout but it doesn’t go overboard with the cringe. Sometimes the girl gets annoying in romcoms but the lead character in this movie is mature somewhat. There’s not really any second lead interferences so that’s good :) however, I did cry near the ending for about 2 min :( I highly recommend this movie nonetheless if you’re looking for something to watch while you take a break from your homework or dramas

I watched this movie because I've been watching japanese movies lately and this came up on recommended. I admit I cried a whole ton but only on a few scenes. It was so sad, bittersweet, and heart breaking. (im sorry spoilers ahead!) The casting was amazing and the plotline was humorous at times, cute at others, and sad but meaningful most of the time. The script writers really portrayed such a loving and complete family, I could not stop watching it. I loved this movie and would highly recommend it. Guess whose eyes are gonna be super puffy tomorrow morning?? :')

I enjoyed this drama a lot. There are certainly a lot of plot twists and unexpected scenes which kept me watching. I kinda (?) binge watched this series and completed in less than 3 days. I loved the acting skill and the characters were all really unique. I especially liked Jamie and how she made us hate her with all our hearts in the first few episodes but quickly we all came to adore her cleverness and sharpness. Nam Da Jung's character however, I personally felt she was too naive and that naiveness could be frustrating at times. However, the supporting roles and the main roles worked together really well and I am once again impressed with the actor who played the villain. I highly recommend this drama to those who are curious and interested~

I first approached this drama because sungjoon played the lead roll. However, I was surprised how much character development went on in the first 3 episodes only so I got the hint something was wrong. Nonetheless, I still extremely liked sungjoon's role I felt he was very down to earth. However, some parts were unnecessarily dragged such as the problems with the mom and dad, and their sister, which i felt was just annoying in general. I liked how things turned out in the ending, except there should have been more parts where we see the main roles spend more time together as they did in the first few episodes when they confess towards one another. All in all, the drama was pretty addicting and I recommend it :)

great cast, eerie story

As someone who's a big fan of Alice in Borderland, this genre suite my taste perfectly. It's so eerie in a nonchalant way, how each individual factor of the cinematography contributes to the unsettling mood. The music fit in so perfectly, I'm honestly such a big fan.
As mentioned in some other reviews, it started off strong and caught my attention however the ending and last few games felt too fast. The ending becomes more and more expected after the halfway mark--which makes it less climatic as it could be. (which doesn't really do some of the characters justice)
On the bright side, the casting is absolutely amazing; I was highkey cringing at the VIPs' acting,,,that english and the things they said were so cringey I would rather have them be Asian people or just Korean. The main casting was really great, I'm glad they didn't decide to cast anyone who was super well known or the go-to norm popular actors/actresses. Seeing new faces (some of them were, at least) was really refreshing :) Also i love how we're seeing more of Wi Hajun these days;; he's very eye candy and gives such manly vibes; i support LOL
This series really makes you question your morals and how you would react if you placed yourself in their shoes... the human instinct and selfishness is very complicated; so I couldn't exactly say I hated any of the characters for acting the way they did (ahem sangwoo smh).
All in all, Squid Game was incredibly good, I'd certainly like to see more of it. The cinematography is beautiful (they understood the assignment alright), the music was such a great contribution, and the casting was the icing on the cake. Great film overall, I highly recommend watching!

I came from watching season 1 romantic doctor and i thought that nobody could top the duo/chemistry from the two main leads from last season. However, season 2 takes a great turn, and the vibe that the two main leads give is just a whole different one from the last. I'm super impressed by the plotline, and ofcourse Master Kim never fails to surprise and impress us. I really like how they focused on the supporting characters as well (omg second couple) and the introduction of the new characters (Dr. Bae!!! and Dr. Yoon) I really look forward to them having a third season (hopefully this will be likely!) I think the story hasn't ended yet and there is so much potential for the future. All in all, amazing cast (old and new), amazing OST per usual, and amazing plot. I am so impressed this is probably the best medical/surgical drama ever produced. Props to Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim!!!

the calm i needed this summer

I find myself immersed and drawn to slow-paced dramas, not ones that go nowhere of course, but ones that make you sit back and reflect on life. I enjoyed how realistic and raw the feelings portrayed in this series were. I didn't feel bittersweet or touched most of the time, in fact, I was kind of dreading the relationship timelines since I thought something was going to fall apart any moment. But this is oftentimes the reality, you are intrigued by somebody and yet you're not sure why, you seek validation yet you desire to be loved.

I loved how there were multiple mains and multiple storylines, each situation was so different but so relatable. As the drama progressed I found myself adoring the characters (esp. Gu)

OST 10/10
Casting 10/10 (love how everyone portrayed the characters)
Ending was not the happy ever after that most people would expect but definitely fulfilling and calming. (overall a great closing)

Highly recommend this series :)

Normally when I watch japanese live actions or movies, I don't quite pay attention the OST, however the OST soundtracks for this film was great. I initially watched this because the main role acted in many other films that I've watched and he's a great actor. However, the storyline was interesting and the casting was nice. I cried once throughout this whole movie so it's not too emotional. It's a cute, short school story. I recommend you watching this and I haven't read the manga for this so that might be my next step.

I barely watch any japanese movies or dramas since I'm more of a kdrama person, but this movie stood out to me since the actors were great and the plot was interesting. Time looping and going back to time and facing the sadness behind the truth really made the drama beautiful in a realistic way. Get ready to  cry at the end :'( (sorry for spoilers!!) Overall I enjoyed this movie and I'm not sure if I am willing to rewatch it again since I already know what happens at the end but I certainly do recommend watching it.

I admit that I'm pretty late to the game (2 years late actually) but I've been holding off Goblin for a while and since I'm currently watching Touch Your Heart, I decided to watch Goblin while waiting for the remaining episodes to air. Anyhow! I loved watching this drama. The characters were so genuine, sincere, and wholesome. I'm a huge fan of Lee DongWook as well as Yoo In Na :) The OST is absolutely amazing I'm pretty sure everyone who hasn't watched this drama have heard of "Beautiful" by Crush at least once before. The cinematography never fails to keep me in awe. The panning and perfectly well filmed shots are so captivating and makes the whole drama aesthetic and beautiful. The plot goes a little fast at times and they don't explain certain things but the acting and casting covers up for the small flaws. I highly suggest this drama and to those who are hesitating to watch, I'm telling you: watch. this. drama. now.
Also, I'm pretty sure you already know that this drama isn't exactly your typical romcom romance drama. It's pretty darn sad. I cry at least three times in one episode so prepare some tissues.
