Ao Haru Ride is my favorite anime of all time. Watching this live action version was something I had great expectations for. I'm glad to say that this movie meeted my expectations. The character casting were chosen incredibly well. There are parts that the movie is missing however you can't expect the producers to include every single detail in a 12 episode anime and hundred episode manga into a 2 hour movie. One thing that could have made this a bit better was if they added the anime OST soundtrack too. Kikuchi looks like a baby in this omg he's so cute haha and kou really did give off the anime character vibes (i love). The squad was on point and the ending was nice and sweet ahhh great job overall! The anime is great too and you should definitely check it out (yes I'm promoting the anime). Overall, I think the movie is under appreciated and 10/10 would recommend this~

I decided to watch this movie because I recently completed "A girl and three sweethearts" and I really enjoyed the casting for that drama. The plot did not make as much sense...I'm pretty sure most of the viewers agree that the girl should have ended up with the second lead...he was so pure throughout the whole entire movie without any bad intentions for the main couple. He even helped out the dude during the fireworks when it could have been his chance with the main girl!!! So Kentaru good job on stealing the hearts of the audience once again xD I love mirei and kento and they portrayed their characters extremely well. This drama was funny and enjoyable so I would recommend watching it :)

I at first read the dramalist storyline before I watched the movie. 5 minutes in the video and you already get the hint that the protagonist is having flashbacks and memories of the girl from the past that impacted his life. I was prepared for the ending to the sad. The character change and the casting was on point and the part where they both went on a trip together was super cute. Although it ended tragically, I feel that the script writer already prepped the audience for it all. It is true Sakura died however the author really emphasized how she tried living her life to its fullest with the protagonist by trying new things and checking things off of her bucketlist. Overall, yes, I did cry a couple times during this movie, but it was very heart-touching, deep, and moving. <3 I highly recommend this~

I've watched a few Chinese dramas since I am Chinese and it's convenient since I speak fluent Mandarin. The storyline was well-made and there were many plot twists as the script maker wanted it to be. However, if you are the type that loves romance and chemistry, this is not the drama for you. This can be considered as a light, highschool sweetheart drama where there are very few actions and fluff. The ending could have been better but since I've watched both seasons of the drama, I kind of saw it coming anyways...Overall, the casting is amazing (hot damn they casted some good looking dudes and gals) and I highly recommend this to those who are willing to spend their time watching a slow-progressed drama with slight fluff and romance. (mainly just school drama and focused on character development not relationship development)

I really took my time to watch this drama and completed it in the span of a month...I really enjoyed the plot, the story, and the calmness throughout. This drama moved me to tears in multiple parts but also made me rolling around laughing at the pure wholesome and adorable moments. The casting did a wonderful job and I cannot think of a better lineup for this drama. This drama became my go-to bedtime drama that I would watch till I felt sleepy. I loved the setting, how it's so based off of the present yet so suburban and delicate. All in all, I highly recommend this drama to those who haven't watched it yet or are considering :)

legit amazing

I read the webtoon vers of Sweet Home starting from 2018 when the author started publishing the chapters. The live action vers did a great job of following the original storyline. the casting is actually amazing...everyones seems so fit for their character..the ost is amazing too. I love how they incorporated warriors from imagine dragons cuz that was in the league of legends soundtrack too which totally makes sense. The cinematography is on another level of genius and the fact that they actually casted Troy James for the spider monster...wow..all in all id give it a 10/10 but bc the ending is so incomplete I'll give it a 9/10 since we're gonna have to wait and see the answers to all our questions. (but honestly the choice of casting all these iconic actors and actresses was genius) probably the best horror/thriller out there

this wholesome movie really brought me to so much tears especially near the ending... I'm normally pretty cautious to watch tragic/sad labeled dramas cuz i know im going to feel super emo afterwards but trust me, this movie will definitely give you laughter, heartwarming moments, but also sadness and heartbreak :'( I still highly recommend this drama purely cuz of the amazing storyline, actors(omg DO eeek), and the character development. This movie will really get you thinking about your family :)

I got invested in this drama a few days ago and finished within 3 days. It's very addicting and the plotline is written pretty well. I'm impressed by how great of an actor the father, pastor-figure, and "apostles" are. This drama ridicules and criticizes the actions of cults and I appreciate that very much. The fact that this drama portrayed an religious cult really hit home. How manipulative religion could be is clearly shown and I have come to appreciate how this drama was able to open up eyes of viewers. The casting was great. I love the female protagonist, I first saw her acting in "Moorim School" and thought she was the prettiest actress I've ever seen (which is still applicable!). The actor who played Dong Cheol needs to be praised. He is amazing and I am a bit disappointed that the heroine didn't fall for him despite all the things that he's done for her. However, this is a thriller, not a romance, so I'll give them credit for that. All in all, I recommend watching this drama but be cautious, you might find yourself cursing aloud because some scenes are so obscene that you wish to burn the whole church down haha

I really enjoyed watching this drama. The character development is great and the actions of the character are so incredibly adorable. The drama revolves around an innocent love story of two couples who are generally new to dating (at least bokjoo is new to it) The pair who are almost complete opposites make the drama more enjoyable, addicting, and cute in general. Besides the amazing acting of the two models, the story plot and the events that come up are unexpected and exciting. I'm personally more into school dramas and this one just happens to fulfill my love of school dramas.

At first, I was reluctant to watch this movie since it seemed pretty old, but later on, I discovered I made the right choice. :) The casting of this movie is great, and I probably cried the most on some scenes :') #noshame

life goes on

The red string of fate concept makes another comeback in this movie. This movie felt more than the typical coming of age movie, it addressed the reality of how some people come and go in our lives. Things in our life don't pan out the way we wish oftentimes, and things such as right person wrong time is what makes life life. Both actors are great, I love Nana Komatsu and Suda Masaki is equally talented and charismatic of an actor. The fact that both of them have been married for a while makes the movie even more satisfying to watch haha.

I did end up crying a few times here and there throughout the film, there are some scenes where it's just so beautiful, heartbreaking, and realistic at the same time. Most parts of the film are just really cinematically pleasing and calming. A lot of the camerawork showed wide landscape pans, and I noticed they often match what Nana wears to the landscape, which makes everything even more intentional and beautiful. I'd recommend this movie to everyone who loves a good slice of life movie that isn't afraid to show the process of life and growth.

one of the best survival series

I've watched the other shows with similar plotlines such as Sweet Home and All of Us Are Dead etc. so Duty After School had a synopsis that piqued my interest. The plot moves slow and fast at the same time. Slow as in, the character development is pretty lacking, but fast, in a way that so MUCH happens in one episode. So much changes per episode yet there's not really an explanation for such big changes. One thing I felt lacking in storytelling was how fast some of them learned to weld firearms and shoot, however, their mentality was still just as immature and frustrating as before. (just a few character though) The pack is constantly moving and there's a lot of killing/gore lol.

Overall, the drama was great, it kept me on the edge of my seat (quite literally) the entire time and it was interesting enough for me to complete in one day. I developed a big crush for the commander sergeant,, maybe i just like tsunderes LOL. But the ending was pretty unfortunate and the kids are all good kids (for the most part) so I enjoyed watching the show.

It was kind of hard to keep track of who was who in the beginning because there were so many characters, but it was interesting how they really separated each character and we got to know their personalities throughout the episodes. My favorite characters were Kim Chiyeol (Kimchi), Soo Cheol, Na ra, and JangSoo. I eventually started liking everyone towards the ending but some were truly a struggle ._.

bittersweet slow burn

This has instantly become one of my favorite jmovies. Once I was able to completely grasp the time traveling concept, it became super bittersweet but it was still beautiful. The concept is so creative and well thought out, I think something about it not being a perfect happy ever after is what makes it so perfect. My heart broke after the midway point when Emi revealed to Takotoshi the truth about the future them and how the times are reversed for eachother. honestly a slow burn. Some tears were shed but I honestly knew what I was signing up for, except I didn't know how well thought out and well-executed the plotline was.

Nothing surprising from Nana's top tier acting :) Fukushi Sota was also super suited for the role so the casting was 10/10 for me. (he kind of resembled Kai from exo in the beginning lol) OST was really good as well. Overall, really recommend this movie if you're down to watch something incredibly cinematic and beautiful but sad at midnight haha.

strange but calm

The movie didn't leave a huge impact on me nor is it very memorable. I don't recall the small details even right after watching nor do I feel like there was ever a climactic moment of the journey (if there is one). The events that take place within the plot are incredibly subtle, even up till the last few moments. There doesn't seem to be an end resolve either, it just IS. This review probably doesn't make sense however, the film itself has it's own color and it's own vibe that is consistent throughout. I think that's one of it's strengths that kept me watching. Although it's incredibly slow and anticlimactic, there's something about the calmness that draws me in.
