Started to watch this for Fandy Fan (never imagined he was playing this kind of role help but still a masterclass in acting as always) but ended up falling for Kang Ren in the process.
I never saw any of Wu Kang Ren's dramas before but after this I'm definitely gonna check them out damn 🙏🏻

Also I ended up figuring who killer was from the start, so it wasn't much of a mystery, but I continued watching because I loooved Hsiao Chi as a character (he reminded me so much of Song Ha Yeong from Through the Darkness).
It's a good drama, the end could have been better, but still a nice watch for a thriller.

Fr ever since I saw him act in Chimera, I always look forward his roles when I realise he's part of a drama I wanna watch.

Cha Yi Seong is such a compelling character in his own absurd way.

Bro was obsessed with Tae Ju from the start and I need to know why. He almost seems desperate to have him by his side (both then and now) with every mean possible, both good and bad.
It's clear Si Yeong has somewhat of a complex: he's a mistress' son, isn't he? He got angry and downright terrified when he found out about his dad and Tae Ju's mother (scared to be replaced, uh - well, that if he's telling the truth).

He wants to ruin Tae Ju, but also wants to be his only saviour. He wants Tae Ju to trust him fully and wants his undivided attention.
Man is batshit crazy & abusive and what's "his" must be stay his: aka Tae Ju I'm sorry but that guy will NOT let you go.

Since she doesn't recognise him and don't even know his name, I highly doubt she knows anything about their history.
I'm strongly inclined to believe Tae Ju never told a soul about the bullying (absent parents + his closest friends also don't know) and since Sun Yeong was a little child when Tae Ju was in high-school, he probably did everything he could to protect her, including never sharing his own pain.

Cha Si Yeong may be an irrimediable piece of shit, but, god, his dynamic with Tae Ju is so intriguing.
Park Hae Soo and Lee Hee Joon never fail to deliver when they act together 😭

Lee Heejoon is a bit too good at playing the shithead asshole fuck even I want to beat him up in a pulp.

The editing of this is a bit questionable, but I genuinely find Hui Ju pretty fun so I'll continue to follow along 😂
This is one of those drama which knows it's everything but serious and they play with it kinda well lmao.

Tbh, since they were willing to wait for two years until Xiao Zhan was finally free, I can see they are taking this project very to heart, which is reassuring 🙏🏻

Also yeah I'm loving the novel!! It's exactly my style and the way it keeps me questioning tf is going on since every time I believe I understand something, the author throw at me three new plot points to uncover.

Plus ngl most of the characters are really likeable & intriguing which is making me anticipating the drama's cast performance (the way my jaw dropped when the author finally introduced Chen Junnan DAMN like Xia Xu is playing him?? I almost screamed 😭) and how they are gonna portray the very complicated relationships between all them.

Basically the novel is just making me want the drama even more 😭🙏🏻

I thought the same, but after seeing it was gonna be release in 2027, I told myself why not?
The novel is pretty long (more than 1000 chapters), so they won't be able to adapt everything in just 24 episodes, plus now I've started reading it I wonder how much they'll change the plot since a lot of things won't be able to make it to the drama because of censorship.
I guess I'll have my fun in spotting the differences and see my favorite characters interact with each others once this come out 😂

The translator is doing a wonderful job, I love how she puts even notes to help understand some of the Chinese context.
The novel should be more than 1000 chapters, so its still updating!

On here once again just to thank @Shrimpy for prompting me to actually start the novel, it's fucking FIRE damn, I read 200 chapters in just two days 😭🙏🏻

Honestly thinking that one of the best thing in this drama was Poeny, Jiang Chang Yang and Sanlang's relationship.
They made an unexpectedly funny trio with all their banter & bickering lmaoo I really enjoyed every scene they had together!

Damn, now I don't know if to wait for the drama or read the novel first 😭
