I was reading through the Dislikes and wondering why the heck you watch only cdramas because those things are the very heart and soul of most cdramas 😂
Because there are usually 24-40 eps they all have to do noble breakups at least once. MLs are always rich and perfect. What is a cdrama without the second lead couple who hate each other/ are "just friends" but end up having a one night stand while drunk? And it is impossible for a cdrama to have a theme song video without revealing literally the entire plot of the freaking drama because why not? The viewers were all born to be clowned

I haven't watched The Bond... although I took a look before because of Johnny Bai. Is it good?
Umm... i dont know what genre you like, but it is a very raw, realistic take on humanity and poverty. The characters were soo well layered but it could be quite frustrating at times because everything was so... real. I may nit have been able to get through the drama if it wasnt for the MDL comment section, where we could let out all the pent up feelings over this drama. I made really good friends there, ones i still talk to.
In terms of quality it is top tier in every way. All the actors are amazing, the sets, costumes, cinematography, colors, music(seriously good OST, with Zhou Shen) - everything was highly detailed and made sure the immersive experience wasnt broken for even a minute. At its core, its a story of a family living in poverty, with a terrible father... and how that influences the children's temperaments and decisions. We watch five children grow up, their beautiful sibling bondand it was heartwrenching, solid, heartwarming - happy and sad at the same time, just like real life. Each siblin has a unique character, shaped by their surroundings and struggles. Its intriguing to see how the same circumstances can shape very different characters. The writers connect you to the siblings in such a way that your heart breaks when they make the wrong decision and rejoices jn pure joy when theyre happy. You want to destroy everyone that makes them unhappy, and you want to protect their lives with everything... especially Third Sister and her insanely cute romance.
I honestly can't say whther I'll rewatch it(it took a lot out of me - im someone who loves romcoms), but the experience left an impression on me. Made me realize a lot of things. Ok maybe I'll rewatch it for my beloved kids lol
Park Bo Gum will forever remain my favorite Crown Prince... his character is beautifully layered and he acted the heck out of his role. He's a living illustration of the quote "In sunny weather, be like a child. In stormy weather, be an adult"
I loved how he balanced his reckless, boundary-pushing self with his responsible, leader-worthy side. He wasn't immature and definitely not very serious, but he had his priorities right, knew how to have fun, and was also wise. I loved the brotherhood as well as the way he handled romance. In the end, all the tears I shed were worth it.
Kdrama CEOs, in my experience, seem to be a lot more awkward or boyish underneath with a vulnerable side that…
Yeah the FL was pretty annoying... I like it when the ML doesnt fall for the L immediately but idk i found him a little too forceful - personal preference :) Glad you enjoyed it, though

Exactly. Romantic progression and chracter growth is excellent in most kdramas I've watched. I love cdramas, but mostly just for the fluff. Theres not always much depth or complexity in them. Like scooping a cup of ice cream and shoving it down my throat XD
Let's play:Bangs up or bangs down for Tae Moo?Hair extensions and makeup or all natural for Ha-Ri?Glasses or no…
Tae Mu is super-handsome with any hair Ha Ri is adorable so I think she looks amazing in both GLASSES FOR SUNGHOON he just looks 10x more amazing to me with glasses on Ponytail for Young Seo
