Now, I'm not saying that kdramas in general are bad: many dramas have their own flaws and all. It's just how there's been an ongoing pattern with kdramas where they start off very strong and then the writers bring in unnecessary tropes and ideas that fully ruin the ending (eg. recent ones like Dynamic Kiss, Our Universe, etc.). Every dramas has its flaws but just because we enjoy one thing which you don't find enjoyable, doesn't mean we're wrong for finding a great connection with this drama. Perfect Crown was the drama that immersed me back into kdramas (along with Yumi's Cells 3) so I guess it's just stuck with me, especially how I've longed to see IU and BWS work together again.

Sure, it may seem to you that there are "so many good Kdramas, and way better ones than *PC*", but that doesn't really apply to all of us. I don't see myself criticising kdramas as a WHOLE just to uplift PC: I'm just pointing out the minor aspects that have caused some kdramas these days to fall, especially with the poor execution of episodes where some may drag on, while others may NEED that extra slot of eps to fully complete things.

PC may have it's flaws script-wise and episode-wise (freaking MBC are lazy and don't know how to handle things AT ALL), but you can't deny the impact and records this drama has made/achieved. For many (like me), it was what took us out of our LONGGGG kdrama drought/slump, with many people recently switching to cdramas. I will always cherish this era so much and I hope you will too. Once this officially ends tonight, I guess you won't be seeing me and kdramas mingle for awhile. Been waiting so long for this drama to air so I'm just happy to have been able to witness IU x BYW in action with our beautiful WanSeong couple unleashed. Kdrama directors: YOU KNOW DAMN WELL YOU SHOULD CAST THESE TWO IN ANOTHER PROJECT TOGETHER!!!

With the last ep airing tonight, regardless of how it goes plot-wise, I just want to savour every last bit of Perfect Crown, our WanSeong couple, and IU and BYW's last few moments on screen. It seems that IU may not be returning to our screens for awhile due to her upcoming music endeavours with her album, and it may be Wooseok's last romance drama for awhile too. I DON'T WANT IT TO END 😭

(I have to praise them for the romance development because dayum, THE TENSION and YEARNING each week was insaneeeee!! If only they spared another 2-4 eps to complete the political side and round it all up nicely...😡)

I will forever love this drama with my heart, but I do wish they had given it more episodes cause why are we on the last episode but there are still so many unexplained bits? I better not see anyone blaming any of the cast for the poor plotholes and pacing of this drama because they are really the only ones holding this drama rn and giving it the numbers. You know, SOMETIMES dramas are best with 16 eps....the kdrama industry has seriously fallen with their eps these past few years, giving some dramas that SHOULD be 12 episodes 16 episodes, while giving dramas that deserve 16 eps only 12 eps. It all held on pretty well up to ep 10, but it really seems like MBC underestimated this drama (and are probably just lazy af) because why are they squishing everything in the last 2 eps??

I loved how well they developed the romance and I-An's rising to the thrown, but I wish they didn't give any characters redemption arcs. I want to know moreeee!! I'm planning to get the original script for PC and you best know, a LOT of people will probably be disappointed in how poorly MBC handled the overall storyline. Like:
- What drove the PM to become like this? Is it just pure obsession with HJ, or is there more to it because I can see that the QM and her father influenced him by reinforcing how he's serving for the crown, but I feel like his betrayal towards them should've been introduced earlier if they were gonna condense the whole storyline into 12 eps.
- Are we gonna just forget about the QM's doings? Burning the palace (I believe) and being one of the reasons for the PM's character change?
- They really just tried to do damage control with HJ's dad cause all of a sudden he's acting civil with her after treating her like ass all her life.
- Who messed with HJ's car and who killed that person?

Props to IU, BWS, and the rest of the cast for carrying this drama till the end. Streets say that they only received the script for the first 4 eps, which I agree, were really really great, and accepted the roles, but they wouldn't receive the scripts for the ending eps till the days they began to film. Idk about you, but if this was a TVN drama, it would've been so great: studio-dragon, same director as AOS, probably 16 eps. MBC, why are you so lazy!! I need another director to cast these two in another drama together with a complete storyline - no unnecessary plotholes and storylines that they just leave hanging, just pure peace! I love their chemistry so much, they deserve better!!!

If they were gonna make it a political drama about monarchs and status, then they should spare some more eps to explore it more and complete the storyline. Otherwise, it would've been best to take it on the complete rom-com path and let I-An ascend to the thrown, then happily ever after. I love a bit of conflict and political things, but like it feels incomplete.

y'all I'm not ready to finish it....wdym the LAST 2 EPSSSSS😭!! MY SOONROK DESERVED MORE SCREENTIME!!! AT LEAST 10 EPS OR SOMETHING!!! You'll never see me move on, unfortunately. I'll be camping here as I complete the webtoon again for these two🤧

I must repeat: please rate the episodes as you watch as the rating (as far as I know from experience) is the average of all the episode's ratings. For future watchers: don't trust the ratings and just GIVE IT A GO. Why bother missing out on such a gem. Deserves at least an 8.6 - 8.8 looking at how it's currently going. I'm liking the pacing but I hope they can cover things well and not rush the following eps.

Just when we're getting more tension between them, you're telling me we only have one more week with them?!!!! GIVE ME MORE THAN 8 EPISODESS😫😫😫!!!!! And the fact that they gave Babi some of Soonrok's scenes has me fumingggggg!!!

I can only hope and wish (for my own delusions) that we get more of them - whether it be another season or movie😔🙏

I lowkey can't wait till both the Queen Mother and the Prime Minister get humbled. Like, I'm ready to see the SATISFACTION of having them leave the leads alone (stop, I'm just craving more and more scenes between Huijoo and I-An 😔)

I would say: quite a lot of the LR fans are still deeply attached to the characters and ship, and so whenever either lead (BWS or KHY) is placed in another drama, these 'fans' constantly compare the drama to LR (despite having completely different storylines) as well as saying that their former Lovely Runner partner is better than the other lead - sorry, it may seem so confusing with the wording😭.

Ex: whenever there's an edit for Perfect Crown, there's always people in the comments attaching stickers of lovely runner clips, followed with comments that degrade the drama and this pair (BWS and IU) down like:
"I can't move on"
"They have no chemistry"
"overrated"
"this ship (LR) is better"
"I miss LR ship"

The moral of the story is basically: if you can't stand an actor being paired with another person just cause you can't let go of your own delusions and ship, then just don't watch it - keep the nasty opinions away and just leave us to enjoy the drama without having a witch screeching in our ears. 😌

I haven't felt this way in a while, and I'm honestly loving every moment of it. Perfect Crown and Yumi's Cells S3 have finally brought be back from my LOOOONNNGGG kdrama slump, and they're so good!!! BWS back on screen after 2 years, IU coming back. Oh gosh, what a treat. Bringing back the joy of an ongoing drama again, which I've been missing😩!!

I'm loving the pacing - it's not draggy, and they surely know what they're doing, given the small 12 episodes frame they're working with. Like wdym we only have 3 weeks of this left 😩. The weekly wait literally kills me so much (especially since I'm so used to the daily eps from cdramas), but like it's so worth it. The script it nice. I'm loving the character dynamics and would could honestly sit here writing a review on character analysis because their relationship is so freaking funny and cute!!

Curious to see how everything goes: the crown, the little King and his mother, and what they plan to deal with in the remaining 6 eps. Also like to add on: when BWS is the ML, there ain't know way I'm looking at any other options, I'm sorry. Get SL syndrome all you want, but I find it kinda funny when people do get it from this 'cliche' trope of: being friends with her and having feelings, not doing anything, and forgetting about these feelings, then when another person comes in and actively tries to do something, then suddenly the SL acts like a victim of cheating. Like I love the prime minister (to some point) but like........how are you able to catch SL syndrome for him 🥴.

Also, all these LR fans need to learn how to separate characters from their actors. I can understand not being able to move on since the last time we saw BWS was 2 years ago in LR, but like, where's the respect...the same thing happened with No tail to tell - at least show some respect to the cast members and drama by separating your delusions from it.

Given the success this drama currently holds nationally right now, I'm glad people are actually appreciating the drama. Though, if you'd really like the rating to go up, I'd suggest rating each episode as it comes out (individually) on here. Anyways: ANOTHER WEEK OF WAITING😭😭😭 Ep6 was such a beautiful episode too!!!

A day late (from where I live), but Happy 1st Anniversary to The First Frost❄️🍃!! Absolutely changed my life. I've been on this platform for quite a while now, yet I'd never interacted with comments and forums this much till this drama aired. Will forever cherish the beautiful ~3 weeks of airing. I miss my beautiful Sang Yifan so much. Wishing the best for Zhang Ruonan and Bai Jingting's future roles. They played WYF and SY so beautifully, I still haven't moved on till this day😭 (and probably never will!!!).

With that being said, hope everyone continues to love and support The First Frost, whether you be a supporter from the very beginning, or just beginning to watch. May we all get a Sang Yan in our lives 😌🫶

istg, MDL in general gives dramas the worst posters. It seems that they choose to display the Mainland China's poster version, but it completely ruins the vibe. Like the IQIYI international posters for this drama and Speed and Love are so so beautiful and really captures the atmosphere of each of the dramas, but MDL always chooses the most ugliest ones....yet when we ask the admins to switch them, they refuse unfortunately....

At this point, I need someone from inside to drop the bomb and release the whole uncut version of this series WITH the deleted scenes - or a director's cut - because I'm never gonna get over how they just cut SO MUCH off like that..... 😭😭

The series is planned to be released in Korea soon so I'm hoping (just REALLY HOPING) that they release even the smallest bit of extra content. If China doesn't want it, give it to the international fans 😭🙏

MDL's rating system is really weird. Idk how they determine a drama's rating - all the episodes are at least 9+ stars each so idk why it's so downrated. It's such a good drama too😩. I seriously want to know what data they use to determine the ratings because it's really messy

I still don't know till this day. There was apparently a yin-and-yang situation between the old crew (yin-and-yang is related to a certain type of contract - Idk how to explain it but there may be others online who can explain it to you). Due to this, the filming had to be postponed for awhile and so they had to refilm a few scenes as well. As for the booting ceremony, I still don't know why they didn't do it. From what we saw yesterday for Yun Chu Ling's booting ceremony, if Speed and Love had one, it would have absolutely given it more recognition and praise before it was released. Some others have said that the director underestimated the extent of popularity of the drama itself and even the production team too, considering how poorly it's been edited and handled. We were promised 30+ episodes, but they cut it down by one episode just a few days before airing. Promotion wise: some fans have assumed that iqiyi may have just wanted to 'get it over and done with' by releasing the drama without prior notice and letting it 'go with the flow' - I've also seen some people say how the hate train against Esther last year may have contributed to their opinions, and we can see how many people have fallen victim to the nonsense with how the previous costume drama (Journey to glory was it??) dropped Esther. Overall, Speed and Love was just a pitiful drama that sadly fell victim to the mistreatment and neglection of iqiyi - like many other modern cdramas under that production because they apparently hate modern dramas🙄. They truly suppressed it's heat and potential by not offering more promotional schedules and by squeezing it in like that. Esther, Heyu. and the whole team deserve better. This is one of the main reasons why I hope to see Esther and Heyu in another project together, preferably NOT under iqiyi. I find it sus as well considering how Esther is supposed to by iqiyi's GLOBAL AMBASSADOR but they treated one of her most popular cdramas like trash....
