Great article! it's all so true. I especially enjoyed your breakdown of the plot by episodes. I watch mostly jdrama, but it always takes about 7 episodes of anticipation waiting for the main couple to finally get together, and as soon as they do, you know an abnormal amount of bad stuff is about to start happening.

I hope it will be! I like languages too, but I can't say I am good at them. I only know a little Japanese, but I want to learn Chinese and Korean too. I wanted to take French or German in highschool, but was forced to take Spanish and kind of hated it. Your English is great, no worries!

yeah, I only started watching Korean stuff this summer. Recommendations: under the cheesy, wonderful, and slightly cartoonish manga adaptions category: Hana Kimi, Hana Yori Dango, and Otomen. They are all about highschool students. Otomen doesn't have the most intense romance, but it's my favorite of the three. Nodame Cantabile is crazy and wonderful and has great music and is about university students.
Under the more mature and realistic yet still funny category: Hotaru no Hikari, especially season 1. This is an all time favorite, and more people should watch it! And Love Shuffle. There is really nothing to compare this one with. It has a darker side and love is more of the focus than comedy, but it is very funny.
sorry that got so long...if you have any K-drama recommendations, please share!

oh, it's ok! Well, this is the first week of fall semester classes, so I'm meeting my friends who I haven't seen all summer, and getting busy with studying. Have a kanji test tomorrow...

Oh, I've never been to France, but I really want to go someday! I'm from Missouri (kind of in the middle of America), but right now I'm studying abroad in Japan.
