One ML who had enough of his office work escaped to a beach B&B homestay, where he met the other ML who had actually also lost his life direction. At the homestay, they build deep friendships with each other and with the folks at the homestay, finding their life purpose and direction.

It is an old drama, but has quite some depths within on finding one's life direction, chasing one's dream, and on kinship and friendship, with emotional moments amidst hilarious ones, and plenty of summer vibes. This is probably the Grandmaster of bromance and beach/village healing dramas.

The opening OST rocks as well.

* Both dramas are on pediatric surgeons with cases of children medical emergencies.
* Both dramas have excellent cast and touching stories of good doctors caring for sick kids.
* Both dramas have doses of hospital politics and use of "faulty" medical supplies.

The Last Breakthrough is a hidden not-to-missed gem on docs without borders, on saving lives in resource strikened areas, and helping patients beyond treating them.

1. Both are TVB anniversary dramas on the medical professionals.
2. See Kenneth Ma in his inaugural role as a doc, and also as a pediatric doc in The Last Breakthrough 17 years ago in 2004.
3. Heartwarming and meaningful moments with the patients, and among colleagues-friends.

The Last Breakthrough is a gem for medical drama on medical professionals volunteering as doctors without borders at feudal, resource- and disease- stricken Africa providing medical humanitarian assistance for the needy locals, plus helping and not just treating patients back from mission. This is a not-to-be-missed drama and a comfort drama on medical ethics, on crossing the doctor’s line to help patients and at the same time on finding the real meaning of life, family and friends, and living life to the fullest and without regrets. It is available on TVB channel on YouTube.

If you have enjoyed A Business Proposal, you must not miss the original Full House (2004). Full House (2004) is considered a pioneer of the Korean rom-com genre and the many rom-com clichés of rich male lead, boss-employee relationship, contract marriage, and bickering couple. Plus see Rain and Song Hye Kyo in their younger days in a boisterous and silly rom-com back in 2004. Also this drama was such a great success in Asia, propelling the Korean Wave and has been remade in other countries including Thailand, the Philippines, China and Taiwan.

How is The Hungry and the Hairy similar to Twogether?
(1) Two male hosts travelling together
(2) Some competitive games between the hosts
(3) Both are Nefflix Originals

Bonuses for Twogether:
(1) See Korean Actor-Singer-Host and reality show veteran and a Taiwanese Actor-Singer reality show newbie traveling around Asia covering Indonesia, Thailand and Nepal.
(2) Witness their friendship blossoming from mere strangers who speak different languages to fast friends and best brothers with sizzling chemistry as they travelled and supported each other to complete the tasks to meet their fans.
(3) Amazing race style travelling, to complete tasks at various locations to find a map clue to locate the local fan who provided the locations to visit.
(4) Fun, hilarious throughout the show with the fun-loving hosts with awesome chemistry competing with the locals, and also competing against and cheating on each other.
(5) Twogether is directed by Cho Hye Jin, one of the first Running Man directors.

My impression of The Long Ballad as i was watching the initial episodes (up to the signing of peace treaty between Tang and Ashile) was the resemblance to the Prince of Lan Ling (2013):
(1) Masked ML warriors,
(2) First MLs are god of war (??),
(3) First FLs are extraordinary woman (???),
(4) War tactics/strategies and peace treaties between warring states.
(5) Putting the interests of the country before self and protecting the loved ones (family and friends) before self, and
(6) Close friends/mates who sacrificed for the FLs.

1) Male protagonists (Lan Ling Prince/PoLL and Wei Wu Xian/TU) wear a mask each.
2) Protagonists in both dramas (Yang Xue Wu/PoLL and Wei Wu Xian/TU) share the same sunny, cheerful, inventive disposition with a courageous, righteous and resolute heart to protect the weak and also loved ones. Perhaps so similar that there are actually two similar scenes: https://mydramalist.com/profile/whatever_weus/feeds/kDb5RFJ
3) Relationships (kinships, friendships) between the characters in both dramas touched me - tissues may come in handy at a number of points in the dramas
4) Similar in style and pace with a mix of laughters, tears, angsts
5) Elaborate costumes, filming locations and world building
6) Beautiful and meaningful OSTs

Note for TU: TU while adopted from a bl novel, portrayed the male leads as confidants with strong brotherhood, and only bits of queer subtle for the experienced bl enthusiasts, in respect to the original bl novel. Chinese censorship has transcended the bl novel into a critical series showcasing Chinese culture, music, sceneries, costumes, intriguing plot on the protagonist’s ordeals going against society, using unorthodox methods to fight evil and help the weak.
