I love his personality too, but I wish we saw things from his perspective a bit more often.
I doubt it. The drama is about the mother daughter relationship. The mother and daughter are the main characters. I don't want to be let down so I'm not going to hope on it.
i am just wondering, why Huang`s mom is not listed as main role, she is everywhere and non stop on the screen
objectively speaking, that is a great point. the drama is about the mother daughter relationship so the mother should be listed as one of the main characters. I think MDL oversight.
that does not make sense. the drama is about MCH and everything else revolves around her. I'm sure the second…
so, the second half is the clash of daughter mother interfering in her hotel? I feel like the clash of mother daughter should be done after she inherits the hotel. what more is there to the clash between them?
This is a family book/drama that centers firt and foremost around the relationship between mother and daughter,…
it's not how much screen time, it's how much substance. the ml does not need a lot of screentime, just a few substantive scenes to feel his character; afterall, he had such a traumatic life the ml has the worst life of any character in this drama I actually felt most sorry for the ml than the fl who came from a loving family, can overcome anything, and has a rich grandmother. perhaps they could have just extended the bf character to the end instead because even his character was not developed, and I was left feeling sorry for the bf too.
I can somehow understand grandma's will and her wisdom. She gave what her grandchildren's lack. ML is alone and…
I understand why grandmother gives hotel to MCH. I expected it. What is letting me down is that the drama dragged a very interesting male character into the drama but does not discuss him. I know the drama is not about his life, but then don't create such an interesting character that you could almost create a whole drama around his story. I know he never visited grandmother until now to get rights to the hotel and go back abroad climb the corporate ladder, but the drama so far has not given the character any substance it's so hard to feel his character. I'm starting to lose interest in YZM character. He's only exists to serve as the romance scenes in second half. That is okay if his story was not so pathetic. I understand grandma intentions. she said to MCH, I know my grandson very well. Usually that is the role of a side character, where you know they have a big story but it's not developed.

since I haven't watched the episodes, hard to understand grandma's actions. if the drama does not give YZM and grandma an emotional heart to heart talk, I will be very disappointed in the drama for dragging such an interesting YZM character in and then leave him by the wayside. So far, grandma and grandson script has been too casual, and I think it was intentional, to dampen it.
well, so far, the drama scenes between grandma and grandson are so casual, I have to read between the lines. yes, she said he's becoming more human now. that was a preview or trailer, so have to wait if there is more meat to the scene
Ugh, don't even get me started on MDL and their messed up rating system! There's no way to stop people from spamming…
SAF6 is the most underrated Chinese drama ever! It was ranked #1 the week it aired and again #1, the second week, then #2 the third week and stayed in the top 5. Early on, it was #1 across 20? countries, or something like that.
I always felt grandma would pass hotel to her. She told the grandson "Have you ever sought after meaningful things?"
that is a good point. did grandmother think about how he might become even less trusting of humans? I guess I should wait until I see all episodes become jumping to conclusions.
that does not make sense. the drama is about MCH and everything else revolves around her. I'm sure the second half of the drama is about her career growth but whatever it is, it has to involve the mother 's meddling in her career.
I can somehow understand grandma's will and her wisdom. She gave what her grandchildren's lack. ML is alone and…
So did MCH and family moved into the villa before he inherited it? then that means they won't' leave and he probably can't stay at the hotel anymore since it's not his hotel and I'm sure he lost his corporate job since he couldn't' get the hotel. I wouldn't feel so bad for him if the drama told some of his story to satisfy my curiosity, but I am at this point confused what is the point of YZM if the drama does not care about his story. Is YZM only exist in the drama as the rightful marriage partner for MCH to satisfy the happy ending for the parent daughter drama? So far, there is no story about YZM in this drama. I had to guess and guess for so long about who he is. Once MCH inherits her fortune, what other conflicts and issues are there between daughter and parent? There is no longer a financial issue or career issue. There are still the son issues with the parents. I supposed the second half after inheritance is about MCH career growth. I'm beginning to feel that YZM character is like a prop. They bring him out when they need him. They also never developed the relationship between grandma and YZM, or maybe I have to wait some more. Their rapport too casual, hard to feel emotional about them. I feel YZM is an interesting character with an interesting past, but the drama is not about him, so it's hard to feel him in the drama. YZM had a much tougher life than MCH, so it feels weird to have such a pathetic character and not know him. It leaves me hanging. They should have written a YZM character who didn't' have a sad life, so viewer can detach from him and solely focus on MCH and her family issues. So does the cold YZM completely change merely to satisfy the happy ending? He finds love and happiness and no longer seeks power and wealth, which was what grandmother wanted for him.

the ml has the worst life of any character in this drama
