I really want to know how Qi and Jinzhao were like when they woke up together in Wuyan village. I want to know from the day 1 but found this gameplay their life from day 7 on. I just skip around to get an idea and it's so charming the two of them, just like in this drama. In the game, Qi wakes up with an infant level of ability of language and thinking but learns quickly. She knows nothing irritating Jinzhao so he calls her "dummy", "deadweight", and "brain damage".
This drama begins 3 yrs later so Qi is a totally different person than when she first woke up. But that explains why Qi still acts innocent and childlike and has that little kid voice. She was wiped not only of memory of things but she's basically woke up like a baby.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 xu kai Always gets jealous in every drama WOL , SEL , SAHPH ...- AMA , DOSE [ signaure - apple…
you left out some. In Royal Feast, he was so jealous of Mei (censor). He portrayed the temperamental prince so well with his fits. In Court Lady, the female lead had four suitors. ALP, as Qing Mu was jealous of Tian Qi.
Ppl keep compare this with sword and fairy 4. But I think I like this more then the other one, I might be bias…
yes if you say you like a certain actor, it is natural to be biased, nothing wrong with it. You are only human. I watched the first two episodes of CP4 and I thought it was good drama and the male actor is doing an excellent job there, but I prefer to watch Esther Yu and Xu Kai first.

Esther puts a lot of flair into it. I feel like I'm watching a beautiful dance. Everything she does project confidence and poise. Her movements, emotions keep up with the music. She makes her character animated, spontaneous, full of personality. As an actress, it is obvious she is a natural and loves to act.
When I watched SEL, there were a lot of these hand gestures, but they were not done as entertaining as this scene. They really took it to a different level and made it into art form.
The MDL score is currently 8.0 which is actually pretty good. Unfortunately, there are viewers who don't understand Chinese Paladin, say it is for children, will rate it super low, along with opportunity for haters. That's why if you are fan and enjoy the drama very much, show your support and be sure to input your rating.
Reading about the game from a 2019 article makes me excited about the prospects for this drama.
"The narrative and cast of characters prove to be Sword & Fairy 6’s strongest asset. As the conflict unravels, it becomes clear that the story is not so much about good versus evil but a story of factions working towards their own goals and ambitions. This is supported by excellent use of the characters, with none of the major players in the story quite being what they seem at first glance. This extends to the antagonists, who are revealed to be just as complex and multifaceted as the game’s six party members. The game deftly explores what it means to fight against pre-determined fate, exercise free will, as well as the lengths friends and foes go to protect those loved ones."
As fans of the game's story and Esther, I'm genuinely pleased with the drama's performance in episodes 1-4. It…
Xu Kai played three distinct personalities in ALP. Even though they looked the same and are in the same scene together, audiences could tell them apart by their expressions and behaviors. He can use that experience in this drama.
This is my first-time watching Esther Yu and I've only watched episode 1 here. My first impressions of her are as an actress is that she comes across very confident, poise, intelligent, and can act effortlessly with such ease and naturalness.
You should watch Arsenal military Academy than you will see how playful Xu Kai can be🤣 He can be funny and…
more than "a bit playful". People rarely mention Once Upon a Time and I only caught parts of that drama but his acting was superb, really amazing the range of expressions. Xu Kai soulful gazes are on par with the best. You normally see that with the top tier actors have that ability to express that soulful gaze through their face, eyes. I'm not saying Xu Kai is top tier actor (not yet) but I hope he gets there one day. When I say top tier, I'm talking about the best of the best. Xu Kai is very talented but he's not at like Hu Ge level, although had he been groomed at an early age, I think he had the potential.
I hope Viki and MDL and anywhere else remove reference to "siblings" soon. The top two questions still are 1) are they siblings? 2) do I have to watch 1 to 5 before I watch 6? The Viki response was yes, then no in spoiler. I don't understand why the response was even spoiler. Was there ever a reference to "sibling" in the game or the original story?

Are you familiar with the game? Do you think the drama makes Qi smarter than in the game and Jinzhao actually teases her more respectfully than in the game? For example, in the game, didn't Qi actually got scam or dupe by Meng and lost all her money but in the drama, she was quite smart and figured it out. In the game, Jinzhao actually teased her using the word "dummy", I doubt they do that in the drama, that would be a put off to viewers. The drama has improved the characters.
If some people are thinking that this drama is a childless then the only thing I want to say is, it is just starting…
you mean "childish"? Isn't Chinese Paladin supposed to have an element of "cute and fluffy", childlike wonder, imaginary make-believe world but at the same time quite serious story so there will be plenty of angst and emotion too? Even though it has characters that look like it's out of children storybook, it's by no means a children movie, it's quite heavy. I've only seen episode 1 but the fight scene looks exactly like the game. I'm hopeful this adaptation has captured the spirit of the game and story and more.
