honestly, you'd think with so many dramas repeating the same cliches, people would stop making them over and over again, but here we are...

this is yet another "fake dating", "misunderstanding", "lying", "woman hurt by cheating ex", "guy that can't forget his cold obsessive selfish ex", "cold germophobic perfectionist falling in love with the sloppy innocent crybaby woman he never would've otherwise", "dramatic turning/saving a woman", "open eye fish kiss" if not just "awkward kisses" and well the most recent "using an app to find love/the perfect match"...

honestly, I can stand somin on running man, but I'll never watch her acting if it weren't for song jae rim xD she literally keeps repeating her roles.. and it's of course the self pitying naive type which I hate.. I mean, if a woman grabs the hands of the guy you were just on a date with, you should just say "you cheating b*******" and you should totally not play along with the obviously crazy woman with her crazy eyes, and like honestly, the guy should just say, "that woman is crazy" like there's no reason for misunderstanding or dragging it out...
and like if your crazy cheating ex comes back, threaten to call the cops on him and do what hani did in xx. you don't need the main guy to be the one that has the last word in...
basically boring drama, boring plot, and song jae rim deserves better...

this might be one of those rare "dark" dramas... like psychological dark, and not scary dark? ^^;
I kinda got attached to this and the characters... the plot was badly executed, mainly eps 7-11 were useless... and the last 3 eps still had their draggy parts, but I liked that dark twist?
and it had a fitting ending, almost perfect for the story.. though I'd have done some things differently, but I liked that ending scene, it pulled at my heartstrings.. mostly the "evil" soul should've been a dark characterless thing? because non of the possessed people acted like the originals ;)

ps, I don't usually rewatch dramas, so my rewatch values are either 1 or 10 ;)

Repetitive storyline but heartwarming results

Everyone needs love, family, and happiness but not everyone is blessed with it. What makes a family? It's the bond, the understanding and the purity of the heart

This was beautiful and exactly my style, It's a simple linear story, but I could easily give up romance dramas just to get stories like this T_T
Beautiful unexpected friendship that lead to famimance is my FAVORITE
I smiled, I teared up and I CRIED at the end TT_TT
The roommate program should be a real thing, ppl that are left behind by their families and ppl that are abandoned by their families untie to find pure love and bonding is the most beautiful form of loveT_T
ML was such a precious pure baby I'd actually love a romance based on his character, I feel like he was the 2nd lead of his own crush xD
Halmae and her ending were so sweet and sad, she put a wall on her heart but she never threw rocks at ppl. I mean like she only put a distance for her own protection but it didn't stop her from being kind ;(

the movie starts in a random small village, they don't have any roads connecting them to the next town or souel and only had a railroad that reached them through a bridge
it then starts showing us the life of a lazy highschooler that starts taking private lessons from the prettiest girl in class, and I thought it'd be an old school type of, school romance like 2521 so it was a bit boring (the movie not 2521)

but then the real twist happens. I was a bit confused mainly cuz of Park Jung Min, the 35 year old failing to look 18, he's a good actor, but to cast him after showing the tiny Kim Kang Hoon, who can easily be his son, made it hard to understand for a minute xD then after noticing the sister that didn't age I thought this was a scam movie.. then after the kid vr was brought back, as flashbacks, I started wondering if they were 2 different people with 2 similar looking sisters

now I do admit I didn't pay much attention in the 1st half for those reasons. it felt messy and cheap

until the twist happened... and they showed the both vrs pictures. with a missing SISTER! and it hit me. she died and that was when the waterfalls started till the last minute of the movie T_T
the events of the past. the acting of Lee Sung Min, the reasons and action of those actors, it was all so devastating..
the 2nd half was honestly pure emotinal gold. it was shocking, yet full of hope, redemption, bonding, understanding and heartwarming sweetness

I thought Tae Yoon was a tough love type of dad, but he was so vulnerable, so fragile, so soft.. again casting the 35 year old one thinks he left his son for years but it was around 10 years, tho again a bit much, but he held on to so much self loath he couldn't look at his son again
the moment he got angry at the paper cuz he didn't want his son to be hurt. the moment he forced him to go to souel, their trip, his pure joy over his results (my favorite scene T_T), Jung Jun Kyung confessing that he went to the beach to stop his dad from suicide, junkyung and Bo Kyung "hugging" their dad T_T, their farewell, and in the end the most hilarious ending that just made this little movie even more preciousT_T

This started out as a 10, so an 8 is the most I can give out now
it was just misunderstanding, miscommunication, mistreating the kids, horrible adults that raised them wrong, blamed them and hurt them then hid it
the mystery was meh, the resolution was meh, the way everyone was involved was meh, the way they brought back the stalker again was meh

it started out great, new meeting, dark comedy, the link taking away the awkward "can I talk to that person" stage every drama hates, so instead of enemies to lovers which is the easy answer to keep 2 ppl remeeting, their link made them get to know each other slowly

I was still on board with the past connection and healing, I was ok with the mystery not even being a focus, I was not ok when they reopened their 2nd case, I was over it when they started the sob story of "should we breakup" and I was done by ep15 when they finally went to solve their big mystery. and ep16 was the worst in dragging it out even more

tho I liked two scenes of the ending, the mom and grandma bus scene, and the 2 cops with the cop car xD I also liked the ost with the kid's voice, tho I hated the overly over happy ending

jingoo is as always amazing, the mom and grandma were the highlight, the hot cops were a new discovery

The FL was amazing, the ml cute enough though I hated his and kwangsoos type casting
Sehun had so little scenes. Though I could proudly tell my mom that's our baby.

I don't like the other fl as an actress and I was meh about it but in the end it was cute especially sehunie's character being the cold chic dude softening up with her
The penguins were THE BEST. When the little dude slapped kwangsoo? Comedy GOLD❣
there were a couple of great Comedy scenes like when ML told kwangsoo to grab his neck amd kwangsoo strangled him🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Tbh the graphics were cheap looking. Like pirates of the Caribbeans look better.. it just felt like they were on sets and in one scene the filter for the sky made a weird circle around fls head..

this is not my type of story though the "inspired by real events" always gets me.
though the movie was not boring during the 2 hours, I still wished for a little more touching moments, and maybe angst but not devastation

like they could've bonded more during the night, they could've cooked together, the kids could've played together, the adults could've talked about books or music, something that gave the parting a more bitter feeling

I've actually seen a few movies like this, and I'm actually glad there was no sudden hidden evil because no matter what, there was too much evil there ;(
though I knew someone was bound to die, no wonder I liked Koo Kyo Hwan, he's the D.P cutie! that makes it sadder ;(

behind every conflict, behind every war, there's normal people who want normal things but they're in situations they can't control ;(

sad, heartbreaking, violent, scary, devastating and yet heartwarming and hopeful TT_TT

a sweet twist in a cliche story

I loved their time traveling concept, I don't think anyone did it before, they either travel and become their future/past or they act like different people. but this was a sweet story about self love, forgiveness and dealing with loss, whether it's a family member or a dream

the romance started off as promising but the moment he changed cuz he knew "they met as kids" just ruined it, it took away any chance of development and just jumped into the last stages of "love", honestly even when they stood by each other I never saw them as anything more than sweet friends so I wasn't happy with the abrupt ending

Anthony was useless from start to end, he was such a waste of time, he starts off as a selfish jerk and suddenly he's thrown under a buss by using the current event of "celebrity bullying" and they ended it by ruining his career, making him retire then give up all of his money and opening a restaurant... that's not the answer. he was never in it for the acting so that fact alone makes his arc useless, that whole thing about him "finding" his passion for acting and chasing the writer for his role, all of it was gone
you can't just end it with that. his problem wasn't his past, he was a tiny looser bully that was beaten up by a girl, he was no threat, but worse he grew up and he always disrespected his staff and yet that all just disappeared and then they made the manager just like him. that sort of treatment to the staff is as bad as bullying ;/

anyway, even though KYK was a sweetie, the only good points were the hani's story and the OST.

this took a while to get to the real core of the mystery, I think it was around ep7 when suddenly it picked up and from that point I couldn't miss a single moment that I binged this in 2 days

since the mystery revolved around one big plot as apposed to both The Great Escape and Busted, they had too much empty time where they sat around and talked again and again about their clues and I think that was boring. they did 1 puzzle then talked about it for half an hour
but after the murder happened more and more tension and excitement happened

though to be honest, I'm way better than them xD kim ssam was obviously evil while poor dokgo ssam seemed nice (and totally forgotten! did he die?), and they took too much with some of the clues, like the sleeping gas thing, as soon as I saw the bottles even before knowing the ending I wanted to say "take that with you!", there was a scene like that in TGE and they actually planned ahead, but since most of these ladies never experimented "escape room" variety show (beside Park Ji Yoon, I've missed Crime Scene TT_TT)
and the whole flip switch as well, they just needed to tell jae jae the 8 sets and the 3 outside could've dealt with it by crossing out the ones that didn't match, visuals are easier than listening

they also need to separate them more often, there seemed to be obvious power struggle, bibi and yena felt left out (either the others wouldn't let them or they'd think they're not good enough), but both did pretty well on their own
Park Ji Yoon had more experiment so she tried to go the comedic side more, Jang Do Yeon as well is full on easy going she was ok with being smart or not

though I do wish they'd not use such hightones just to sound younger, we all know they're not teens and that's the funny part, they strained their vocals too much

otherwise Jung Jong Yeon never disappoints and it's always nice to see female centered plots

run around in cirlces

the show starts with the 2 mains fighting and breaking up, and they get into a fatal accident and the FL makes a deal to save her lovers life by breaking up with him, and as soon as she's back she doesn't want to break up anymore so the whole show goes around in circles with "let's breakup, I can't breakup" ;/

honestly their romance was boring and so was their plot and in the end the ML makes a deal to save the FL and ends up in a comma alone then he wakes up, so like what was the point even ;/

a repetition of s1

the story and the pace were EXACTLY like s1. byul didn't want to do variety shows so she switched places with daeun and the evil bully teammate still bullied her while they added another guy bully and a male saesang ;/

for one thing Shin Jun Seop and Park Bo Yeon can't act. their dialogues are awkward and their expressions are frozen. it didn't help that they gave Park Bo Yeon weird contact lenses and that just made her 0o0 expression worse..

Lee Ki Taek was better but after a certain point his character got creepy, there's a fine line between flirting and being clingy. for one he was smart so he knew she was dating Jung Woo and she friend zoned him several times while also telling him "no I'm not interested in you" but he kept using their work for skinship ;/

and when Yoo Hwa In seemed like the most normal one she turned out to be in a one sided crush with jungwoo too, and sure she didn't act on it or get jealous but at the end she seemed desperate to tell him "I like you but sadly you're taken"

also the things the saesang said was alarming. is it just for conflict or is what kfans really think? becasue they shouldn't normalize that. idols are not puppets or avatars...

jisoo was the best part but again it was just too similar to s1 but with a more solid relationship, atleast the fans and the media left them alone

when the movie started it seemed out of place, nothing happened until this voice (that was obviously Takahashi Issei) tells the fl follow your neighbor, and suddenly there's a swooosh and the real explanation happens.

Takahashi Issei really did a great job, he was his sweet usual awkward uwu but still he gave off a great confident smart guy vibes (that's until the climax)
Kawaguchi Haruna was a sweet calm type of fl, she heard a weird request but she didn't mind it until the voice disappears and she wonders "what the heck was that". so she talks to her neighbor and he mentions a time loop theory that honestly was so simple I'm still annoyed at those cheap attempts in TKEM.

but after the cute little dates while they hunt for answers, the self conscious side of Hirano Susumu jumps out and he breaks up with her, then to no ones surprise he realizes he's indeed the voice that saved her.
so they basically have this dramatic breakup, the fl lives her normal life while waiting for her d-day and boom the ml comes like, you were right, it was me and I like you. that was soooo underwhelming

then when she asks "why did your past self save me" he goes with "it was love at 1st sight".. so they never showed that 1st time alteration. sure he liked her, but like he probably witnesses her death and he'd be heartbroken, but why did it take him a year? why did he live in her apartment? how did he even know he could talk to her?
in the 2nd attempt he says "it's a miracle" becasue after changing his own fate he runs back to her house. but what did 1st attempt Hirano Susumu do? did the old landlord know something? I wish they elaborated on that instead.

like the breakup was unnecessary, though he did need a push to change himself, becasue he wallowed in self pity too much. so they could've just said, you follow your path and I'll meet you again when I find my dream like normal mature people ;D
the whole movie kinda felt like 2010s kdrama that I was surprised it came out in 2019, but again the time alteration was nice and the acting was better~

I wish they'd stop making this xD honestly I had a hard time remembering the past seasons. I even had a hard time recognizing CBX, so this messed up with my memory xD

Han Jae In and Kang Yoon's story was horrible, he broke with her because he thought she was having a hard time, how smart ;/ so it was all a waste of time

Ha Neul and Ji Min were sweet but some point one would wonder did they like each other or did they just like liking each other?
haneul started the drama as if he didn't get over his bff, and jimin only wanted her fantasy guy, though it was cute that they started off as friends then slowly supposedly developed their feelings for each other.
it was nice to see Kim Sae Ron in a drama fit for her age, and it was I guess overall nice how they started off with a group of 4 that grew into 10..

I wish it was a full drama

basically the story was weak, and the writing was worse since they needed 1 extra ep to try and wrap things up but the overallness of it was nice..

it had 4 of my favorite things, independent strong fl, sweet somewhat shy ml, sweet friendships and a rock band, but the delivery sucked..

the fl randomly opens a big cafe without hiring anyone and she can't even cook herself, so that's a recipe of dept and bankruptcy, then her brother scams these 4 aspiring artists so the fl gives them a job and they all randomly fit it.
one is a great cook, one is so hot he draws in customers and the other 2 do the coffees and dishes so their cafe becomes huge...

so like the fl from the start just needed to hire people and the fact that she didn't while the guys also randomly got scammed in that cafe was bad writing.

I wish they made it more casual. fl opens restaurant, fl looks for employees, the guys being starving artists apply as part time and boom the rest of the stuff happened.

also they wasted time on the hot guy's problem that they really didn't try hard to work on the romance between the 2 mains, eventough they were too cute.
plus who wants uncertain fame when they can mix their music and cafe and make it a live band cafe..

this was such a refreshing little unexpected gem~ it was sweet and healing but also too short and abrupt, I wish it was longer or they made a 2nd season ;(

when the drama started I thought, ah Kuroki Haru and Takahashi Isse as a couple! but as ep 1 went by I wondered if he was a guest role, then if he was a 2nd lead, but the casting list confused me and I thought it was one of those 2ml gets the girl reversals, until each ep went by and slowly their stories opened up step by step.

in some ways everyone lives in their own bubble, or aquarium and in some ways we try to fit with others but every once in a while everyone needs a long vacation to better understand themselves away from the herd

but each vacation needs to end too and we need to step right back into society becasue the world continues to spin. in some ways the demolition of the little building was like forcing nagi to jump back into the world

each character had their own journey. and I think they did what was best, nagi finally saw the world from shinji's pov but still even if she ended her vocational self discovery, she still had alot of new experiences left in the outside world and I personally like to think after a while they could cross paths again as 2 more interdependent people who could swim alone besides each other (especially with Ryoko unexpectedly dating his brother xD)

overall it was sweet but I wished for a better in depth characters, but still I enjoyed it alot and I'll miss it~
