I feel like the writer wanted to be different by making dosan the ml. he was unlike the usual mls. he was awkward, self continuous, easily got hurt and thought he was lacking, he believed everyone's criticism about him so he always seemed to not want to try.
that's when he met dalmi and she was like a spark for him. she wasn't his goal, but his motivation, he didn't want to succeeded to get her, he wanted to succeeded with her and I found that support and road really sweet.

usually mls are rich, confidence and jerks (kinda like the 2ml), they also share the "childhood connection", so most of the time romances feel forced by "destiny" and the ml is way too controlling. (again like the 2ml ;/)
so this was refreshing in that part, I'm giving them another 0.5 just becasue the ml was not the "childhood friend to lover" trope xD

on other ways dosan was dalmi's motivation, her support and the hand that chose to walk along side her rather than in front or behind her.

I LOVED, saha and her coupling with Cheol San, I wish they focused more on them though. also I think the writer should've went with a slow burn romance instead of the random middle breakup and getting back together at the end.

also I think they wasted In Jae. thankfully she wasn't the evil witch, but then it was kinda like dalmi "made it" becasue she depended on her sister's company. tbh if she started fresh no one would've made her a ceo so fast.
then there was the fact that the grandmother's ex daughter in law came back running to her, and her own grand daughter didn't for 3 YEARS! just becasue she wanted to change back her surname (how long does that even take).. that was just an excuse to add her story for the last ep so they could have content...

for the 2ml, tbh I see him as a fairy godmother, he gave and gave but stayed in the shadows which just shows how the writer doesn't intend to give him anything else in return, he was just the spark for the main couples' fire/story.

basically the writer wanted a past connection without a past connection. and in some ways "this" was the drama the writers chose the 2nd lead. (personality-wise) dosan always felt more like the 2ml. he was not the 1st love, he was not rich and he didn't have a chance until he "browned" the typical 1st lead's backstory, ie the rich 1st love ;)

there's a difference between "samsan tech couldn't have made it here without you" and the "tell her if she fails I'll be her plan b"
2ml was like the fairy godmother mixed with the evil witch, it just didn't add up. there's a big difference between guidance and being cynical, I really can't function around someone who keeps yelling that I'm wrong or useless...

there's a difference between "depending on someone" and someone who'd break your motivation ;p he didn't say, "work hard but if you fail I'll be here", he says "don't do this, you'll never make it"

there was a drama like this, the 1st couple had the rich girl/poor guy but people were all about the 2ndery couple who were the usual rich guy/poor girl.
so here people are not getting sls but they're getting first lead syndrome xD

the songs were nice but kinda felt like itaewon class and I never rewatch stuff

great cgi, solid plot and reasoning though it is repetitive and obvious. the horror elements were nice and best of all it's always great to have kickass female characters and villains.
it's also refreshing that the "husband" is the one who ends up hurt while the fl is the one chasing evil

Uhm Ji Won is an amazing actress, she's versatile and totally believable in her role. Jeong Ji So is like a Kyoko, better at dark roles, though she looked more like an idol than her awful drama. Jung Moon Sung is not the "typical" hot tall buff ml but he's 1000% better and totally admirable, as someone who fights with all his strength, someone who doesn't fear the fact that his wife is a total kickass boss and also doesn't mind staying in the sidelines.
it's so so rare to see a happy, alive, married couple in dramaland, honestly I love them~

the revelation, the villain and the end are all predictable, but walking corpses that steal/drive taxis and fall from staircases? scary and a nice enough twist on brainless zombies

break your box

a simple beautiful message done is a pleasingly sweet musical style. everyone has a box, a worry that traps them
also everyone needs atleast 1 person to stay by their side and trust in them and here we got a sweet journey of friendship, food and music

each step was a lesson that ended in the big finally, Min Soo didn't want jihoon to relay on him 100% though ironically I saw the contract termination as a sign of trust and letting him "go" so he can peruse music as a passion not an obligation xD but jihoon could've seen it as abandonment

chanyeol honestly is such an amazing singer, rock, rap, ballad, trot, jazz, he can do it all! the only problem I had was the 1st idol generation hair xD
and maybe the lack of more in depth friendships, and ultimately "love", though I also appreciated how everything wasn't solved just cuz of that, but hints of love would've been cute

I've actually seen a few eps of the anime, and I did like it but then I got distracted by kdramas that I never went back so it was a pleasant surprise to know this was the live action adaption :)

what I loved the most about this was the friendship and how it was more important than the romance. usually these type of school stories like to pretend the girls have no friends beside the male lead or even if they do the female lead would spend 95% of the drama with him.
so seeing how this was more about the girls' times together and how a shy sweet fl like Sawako Kuronuma needed time to open up to people was beautiful~

Chizuru Yoshida was independent and strong and she didn't let other's opinions and rumors bring her down. but she was also a softie and took time to understand Sawako Kuronuma.
Ayane Yano was quiet and with that she connected and understood Sawako Kuronuma easily, but she was also smart and mature and she was not as emotionally driven as Chizuru Yoshida

Sawako Kuronuma is the only acceptable form of cute, innocent, naive and pure. she was just ADORABLE~

Kazehaya Shouta was cute becasue he always tried to let Sawako Kuronuma stand up for her friends and made sure her friends could see her true self. I loved how he actually went to bring the girls when Sawako Kuronuma was being bullying and he didn't try to be the hero.

Ryu Sanada looked uncaring and cold but he was the type of person who took care of his friends behind the scene, and I wonder if in the anime they explore his character more ;)

Sawako's father was also a cutie~
the romance and what not was basic since it is a highschool genre and they were only like 15, but it was sweet to see both try to understand and open up

I never rewatch stuff but I wonder if there's another remake

the story and the development were simple, and it followed a predictable cliche pattern but it had a beautiful message of brotherhood. Se Ha and Dong Goo were both abandoned as kids and in return they found each other ;) they both completed the other and needed them ;(

Se Ha was jaded and he put alot of walls around him though I could understand that it was hard to see his true heart until the end.
Dong Goo was such a pure precious being, and kwangsoo did such a great job conveying so much without even talking, like Dong Goo's inner thoughts about how Se Ha would be better off without him and the feelings of abandonment and loneliness he had to keep in his heart.
Mi Hyun was also another precious person. she embodied the sweet pure friendship that kinda made the bromance even better. they didn't need to be blood related to become a family TT_TT

Ahn Ji Ho had a small role of young Se Ha but he conveyed so much heartbreaking emotions that solidified the jadedness of old Se Ha so well. I hope he gets more roles soon he has a bright future ahead of him~

the ost was nice especially the end song the 3 main leads sang and I rarely rewatch things

let me start with the things I loved; I really really loved the characters, the friendship, the comedy and the music~ this had the potential of getting a 10/10 from me, if only they just focused on those aspects.

Sebuki Suzume was my favorite, she was pure(?) a kind of overlooked personality, she hides her feelings and she feels weak but she also never backed down from her feelings and personal beliefs and with that her friendship with Maki Maki was my favorite.

Iemori Yutaka was another weird personality I loved, he seemed easy going and quirky but he also had his own struggles, though I don't think they were able to show the depth.
Beppu Tsukasa was the leader, and Maki Maki was the glue and overall the four of them had a beautiful connection~

I also really loved the ending ost and I was kinda disappointed it wasn't a solid part of the story ;(

Kisugi Arisu was a really weird random personality, tbh she was a comic relief but also a "wth" kind of existence xD and with that I think the writers lacked in making anything real and deep beside the friendship.

most of the other side characters felt weird. I especially wasn't really happy with ep6-7, plus the whole backstory for any of the characters, it felt rushed, not fully thought out and shallow(?)
I was also not really happy with the hints of romance though thankfully it was not the focus.

but I loved the ending and overall it was like a sweet warm hug that really touched my heart~

the mystery part was completely predictable, but it's nice to see simple korean movies suitable for the whole family~ also, I don't like "in your face" comedies, and I kinda wish they went a little more hardcore with the story but it was overall heartwarming and a light simple watch~

Lee Sung Min and Kim Seo Hyung should reunite with another movie/drama, maybe even something with romance ;p
I might even watch this again with the kids in my family, it'd be a nice easy movie they wouldn't hate xD
I was surprised that I recognized all of the voice actors, I'm getting really good at voice recognition~

in the land of many annoying cliche romcoms, especially the ones with horrible characters, this was nice.
+ a mature female lead (the fl had a few frustrating moments but atleast she was a grownup that could think)
+ 2nd leads used well~ (I honestly loved the new approach to the usual 2nd leads, they actually had character)
+ cop girl and cop guy (plus her littler romance, my ship sailed)~
+ the overall big plot of the evil guy was actually "threatening".
+ the dumb kidnapper xD he really made me laugh
+ the mom ;)
+ the last scene ;p
+ the last "business" project
+ the way normal people actually found out about holo

the bad:
- overly traumatized characters
- the past connection (literally every romcom has the same back story)
- the jerk male lead (he was a jerk for too long)
- her "love-line" with holo. (I'd have preferred if they just called it deep friendship or one sided love from holo)
- it got too dramatic in the last few eps
- not enough actually lovey dovey moments with the main leads...
- the fast team switch(?) ;p
- the way everyone was ok with a love line with a hologram ;)

the ost was all great and I never rewatch dramas ;)

this was beautiful! a warm and sweet story about breaking away from people's expectations and prejudice.
the story was kinda like lovely complex. the girl was criticized for being too tall and the guy for being too short, but the whole journey was so relaxing and inspirational.
I shipped them together, but I'm glad they didn't try to force the romance and focused on two friends' growth. the music was super nice, and their last dance was so beautiful, and the end made me tear up❤

my rewatch values are 1 or 10. though this was short and sweet enough for a rewatch ;)

I preferred this season over the 1st. mainly because they focused on the other girls more.. and
for some reason I could remember the 2 other girls' stories as I watched this season, but I couldn't remember the main couple's story xD
I specifically liked Hee Sook and Ha Tae Sung. webdramas have the best noona romances ;p
the overall theme of friendship is so heartwarming, especially when Woo Kyung said "I wasn't with you guys from the start but thank you for letting me meet precious people" TT_TT
and the food looked so delicious! ;)

my rewatch values are 1 or 10, but I'd love a 3rd season~

In 10mins I wrote a better EVE

The problem wasn't the romance, it wasn't the age gap, it wasn't even the fact that ceo was trash. But the problem was the execution. Ceo had 0 sympathy, 0 chemistry, 0 personality,, and 0 common ground with rael
They never had proper conversations, they never connected on anything (beside ceo projecting his mom being treated like trash to having his own mistress he didn't treat like trash)
He saw her pain, he never pushed her to explain, but he never tried to comfort her. He never tried to get to know her.
This is a bit of spoiler from Misty, but there they start off as a married couple losing touch, and the ml makes so much effort, they connected again and build a relationship. Then the spoiler part, then the writer snatched our hearts and stabbed us right in the feels and showed the ML was the murderer.. so he was "the bad guy", but he had depth, he had a backstory, he had a connection with the fl, he had a relationship and they took us on that journey with them then broke our hearts

Here, sure I was team eunpyung (and I'll talk more about him later), but here the ML starts off by lusting over the FL. He pushes her down and tells her to be his dog. He then becomes the dog because he wants to have her. He starts doing things he was missing in his marriage and projecting it on rael. The rose house with the kids, the laughter. It was all his playbook of a happy life. Then he gets angry at her for ignoring him.. then he hits her, pushes her badly and hurts her while she runs away scared and he doesn't stop, he continuedchasing her and hurting her.. until she pushes him once and he falls like the fragile old man he is..
Non of those are love. And his redemption? "Whoops, the company I wanted, and the guy that died, was your dad? Oh no..."
It didn't matter he killed. It didn't matter he killed her dad.. he was "sad" he was the reason her life fell apart.. and his solution? Pretend to run away to die.. and he just goes to his favorite church looking perfectly ok. No pain. No drinking to ease his pain. No regret. No tears. He was jut walking in to throw a pity party but rael was already there..

SHE had so MUCH more emotion. He didn't return or deserve.
Though her emotions are wrong too. His greed was the reason her dad died. He wasn't innocent. He didn't care he killed. He never treated her right. She was practically his victim, the victim he mentally kidnapped, until she thought he was showing her kindness and love

It's not even toxic love. It's a cheap attempt at makjang that failed miserably cuz the ML horribly portrayed his flat character

And what the writer didn't realize. The real HOT painful healing torturous love and chemistry could've come from eunpyung

He was the only person she showed her true face, her true heart. But she didn't think she deserved happiness or love so she'd run away from him. but once she wavers for 1 second eunpyung would've embraced her for a passionate kiss. Then she'd again feel guilty cuz all she wants is revenge. She doesn't think she can survive and her only goal is to break them all down and possibly kill/die. So she pushes him away. But his love would be too much for her so she'd cave, and they'd have had all the sweet scenes in the beach and church, but he gets hurt so she pushes him away again. And then that church scene at the end would've been them. With the people out for bloody murder being sora, and ceo who like his scene when he found out the truth, couldn't live with the idea that rael actually loved eunpyung and never him

In both vrs, the perfect ending is bloody murder. With ceo of course being the one dying
and updating this as the drama ended but, I'm satisfied with the bloody murder🤣 I've been bamboozled by drama endings before, a happy romance ends up a tragedy, a makjnag ends up a romcom with a wedding scene ending, and many many dead leads come back at the end, I didn't trust them one bit
but this is the best option, he never repented or even acknowledged his wrongdoings, but atleast with his death rael could move on from all her pain, and with eunpyeong going to her, I can happily imagine their reunion. though no one mentioned the poor kids at the end🤣

▪︎Acting:
• Rael = 100/10. She carried the whole show with her expressions and emotions
• Sora = 8/10. She was a bit penthouse dramatic, but she was also all talk and not much bite. For someone who has killed before she was intimidated by Rael too much
• Ceo = 1/10. The only time he showed character and passion was when he tried to steal his father's company. Almost all of his other scenes were 👁👄👁
• Eunpyung = 8.5/10. He did have a bit of 🥺 face too much

▪︎Character:
• Rael = 8/10. She was crazy, not afraid, diabolical, tempting, captivating and dangerous. But her suckup persona was too unbelievable, if a person tells you what you want to hear in that low voice it's clear they're lying. Her passion and love for ceo made no sense even as someone who lacked love and couldn't differentiate between love and toxicity
• Sora = 6/10. She did all she wanted but she feared her dad. I'd have assume she'd have done more to Rael, fought back more and spread rumors instead of crying and screaming 90% of her time
• Ceo = 1/10. Zero personality, zero passion, zero drive. All lust, cheap traumatic past. Had no sense of responsibility, only cared for his child when he opposed his wife. Wanted a mistress to treat her like his toy. A murder but also a pity party thrower.
• eunpyung = 7/10. He had more potential, he ruined his character when he asked her if she liked ceo, then dug his own grave when he kept telling her she can't then put the final nail in his coffin when he told her to go after ceo..
His slow love, his care and passion for her though were beautiful, he ruined it when he became too devoted to her. But that scene when he cooked for her, and his confessions were my favorite scenes

▪︎Plot = 6/10. It was just another revenge drama, the cheating was supposed to make it different and it had potential
▪︎Plot development = 1/10. By ep 12 I just thought to myself, what did I watch for 12+ hours? Basically nothing. No character development, no move in revenge plot, and the cheating scandal became so flat and stale. The biggest tension was the kid's birthday party but it never went anyway

▪︎Romance = -100/10. I'm not a romance fanatic, I never supported the normal jerk ml/naive fl plot move. But this was even worse than that. There was no reason, no passion, no connection, no use. This should've 100% been Rael using him till the end, and then the Ceo losing his sht and showing his trash personality, which he did in ep, 12? But then they did a 180, with no real redemption and just went back to acting he was hurt. And then he would see how he was just as trashy as Sora.

▪︎OST = I love the main song so much, the whole ost was on par to seo yeji's mood and acting

▪︎Rewatch = I actually never Rewatch tho I did Rewatch some scenes to make edits and I wish I was a bit better at editing so I could take all of this and make it about Rael and Eunpyung

Don't be fooled, 99% is about a cult

A traumatic past made the fl detached, she connected with her friend over this exciting outer being. It became her core memory that when her bf left her, she thought he must've been taken by aliens so she goes on a hunt

She stumbles on this crazy cult that worshipped aliens. They wanted the big father light to take them to salvation
Then suddenly it turns out they randomly have the picture of the fl and they think she's the key

So random chasings, huntings, kidnappings happen. And then the ending ep comes and pretends that yes aliens are real. But I don't believe them, as a plot move. They were all high and the bf that was missing cuz he tried to kill himself suddenly sees aliens too.. so what's the connection? Traumatic ppl

The biggest scam since the light in your eyes. It wasn't the lack of oppa that made this boring. It was the lack of that big green thing in the poster

I thought this would be a cute rescue mission where the 2 fls try to help a lost alien and develop a cute friendship
But nope. This was about a crazy cult that wanted to commit mass suicide and thought the fl was their key to the aliens that'd take them to salvation

So yeah I gave it a 4/10. One for nana, one for yeobee, one for Thomas and one cuz the production value was nice tho all completely wasted on that cheap plot

men are one sighted and naive..

1st love, especially at 11-13, or even waiting for "love" is like online shopping. you look at the picture, you imagine yourself wearing that dress, you are in love so you order it but it's international shipping so you need to wait atleast 2 weeks so you anticipate it daily.
then it arrives, you feel happy, open the package and try it on, it is indeed beautiful. but that's it, you take it off and put it in the closest. the "love" was that journey alone.

with 1st love, you are in love with the image. there's no guaranty you can live with the same outfit you saw once online! I mean, you can't be sure the person of your imagination is a real enough person to connect with.
Young Ho had no control in his life so he grabbed at the only thing that made him happy, that one random encounter when he was 12.
he knew atleast he could "control" that, he could take the steps to find her, she'd be his happiness and light.

and when he did find her, they talked, but he also met an actual living existence in front of him. someone real he could talk eye to eye, someone who'd answer back right away, someone who liked him 1st but he didn't know if he'd like her back when he already had the sure set "1st love" talking to him.
kang sora was that consent insta dress ad that keeps following you around. it looks beautiful but would it make you happy as the one you already ordered?

now, honestly if I thought Young Ho was annoying wait to hear about So Hee. she gets a letter, her sister says no I don't know him. she writes back as the sister and tells her sister every reply. the sister is in love, or well she has "excitement", the chance to choose from the ads, So Hee keeps fulling it and fools her sister

but time skip and stupid move #1 (yes non of the above were the stupid part). she too waits for the same dress as her sister. she sets a date to pick that dress.. she had every chance to go meet that dress! but she just doesn't and Young Ho waits for 9 freaking years for his dress to come! who the heck made "when it rains" a rule? she was not bound by anything to that stupid silly promise.. it's like she said "when it snows in summer" and waits for global warming..
waiting for paper love is not waiting for love! the real waiting here would've been if sujin x youngho happened. that'd have been her waiting for real love. he was waiting for someone he met once as 12, he would've even recognize her as an adult..

yep and it gets wore. they reveal that the 1st love was indeed So Hee not her sister as both he and her sister assumed. so not only did she just had to lie once to her sister, 2 she could've met him separately, or better yet make up a lie about a different guy, 3 she didn't lie to him per say only her name, but 4 for a while he thought she was dead! and he still waited! lol it gets more stupid as I recall the events xD
SHE MADE HIM THINK SHE'S DEAD! and he ran to meet her despite this huge confusion. I don't care for happy endings I prefer to think they never met and they all live independent loveless lives until someone new comes in..

basically there were 3 women, he knew one from his childhood memory, he met one in his 20s and the last was someone he met on paper.
kang sora always gives me sls xD I really don't think many fls gave me sls like her.
kang hanuel needs to stop this repetitive bumpkin character too

well korean writers are fixated with 1st love too much and think it's unique heart wrenching melo

everyone probably heard about the beautiful glamorous clothes, the hair, the makeup, or the beautiful aesthetic scenes that made me personally take +130000 screenshots, but the most beautiful aspect of this drama was the acting! both IU and Jingoo are top tier actors, and every scene with them was magical.. granted, every actor left a huge impression on me, I think I'll have to add a few to my srs list -especially Kim Soo Hyun! ;)
they had the best teamance, and those final scenes with them was beautiful...

the best compliment I can give a drama is "I wouldn't have been able to writer a better drama than this"...
this is my soulmate of fantasy dramas, the best of the best! probably the only real fantasy I truly enjoyed from start to finish~

one of the things I loved about this was that they didn't make the plot the only point. usually they give us a glimpse of "conflict" at the start, then forget about it and bam last ep is here and everything is solved...
here the characters -all of the characters- were the main focus! they solved their plot gradually ep by ep.. and each side plot was related to the characters journey. by the time we get the last two eps (minor spoiler) they got their sweet time to solve the final chapters of the main characters stories and that was beautifully done~

I actually want to brag and compliment this drama way more, like manweol is my perfect woman, and chansung is a dream....
and so I'll end it with this: this is what happens when top notch acting meets top notch characters, plus a well balanced well thoughtout story~

my rewatch values are 1 or 10, but I'm already planning my rewatch of this~

by ep9 I just cried becasue I had to double back the pain of the ep count and watch 7 more eps.

I loved the 2nd fl! she was just ADORABLE! I loved the potential of the FL and I really liked the actress but they wasted her worth. the sismance was 1000% better than the romance.

loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong draggy plotline, no real character depth or growth, not enough solidarity in the romance, not enough 2fl, 2ml was a wasted potential (I had a serious crush on him after WOTM and running man but here he was just an old man obsessed with his dog.)
not enough teammance, not enough connections, like mad dog survived on the team, this was just random people going after a vague thing? not enough evviiilll, or scheming, I even watched a little from a next or nextnext ep and it was just one old guy nagging that he schemed stuff
