I can relate to you, well in my case I had drifted away from modern romance dramas for a year. I tried picking up some but eventually ended up dropping them, the first frost is the first modern romance cdrama that has made me love this genre again. Yes and because of their emotional connection, they absolutely conveyed a love with so much depth. He does have a high EQ and what I appreciate about him is his silent acts of love for Yi Fan, he doesn't show off about the things he do for her or seek acknowledgement from her. He creates a safe space for her emotions and for her to express herself on her own. Truly.

The first frost has a lot of nuances, complexity and depth in it, it's not the typical modern day drama, the more you watch the more you will realize this and I think it takes more than actually watching to understand and connect with the drama, you really have to allow yourself to be immersed with the characters too. I feel so happy that Wen Yi Fan has finally gave in to her true feelings and braved herself to go after what she truly wants putting aside everything, she is finally learning that she does deserve to be loved. This episode showed her growth.

Sang Yan's love for Wen Yi Fan is not just genuine love but a safe kind of love which I think played a huge part in making Wen Yi Fan submit to her feelings and it is only him who made her feel this way, enough for her to overcome her fears.

I haven't read the novel yet so I didn't know much details about this part 🤭 and now I am dying of curiosity on how it will go but am still preventing myself from reading the novel because I plan to read it after completing this drama therefore I would still get more of them in some way.

Yes! I am really loving the acting performance from both leads, they are perfect cast for the role. The director and production team had a good eye, I can't see anyone else doing justice to these characters other than them. Not to mention their chemistry is overflowing and they aren't even in the dating phase yet. Same here! hope we get lots of sweet scenes.
