Title The First Frost Spoiler
Wen Yi Fan was extra adorable in today's episode. I like how she has finally acknowledged - well sort of - her feelings for Sang Yan. The tactic she pulled with the zodiac flirting thing her best friend advised her about was so funny and cute of her to use. I appreciated how she had braved her inner thoughts and feelings and said aloud what has been on her mind. I really like how her feelings weren't made to be developed or known abruptly but was given ample amount of time to bloom within her heart while staying true to her character and life she carries. With the gradual shift of her feelings, they conveyed a much more meaningful message behind her growth. Wen Yi Fan who used to think she doesn't deserve the good and best things in the world is finally opening herself up slowly to all the good and best things in the world again. In some way, we can say she is growing to heal her wounds, learning how to accept love and how to love.

Also, Sang Yan's flirting level skills is on another level. He seems to be much more flirtier compared to Duan Jiaxu his best friend. I enjoyed the times he leaves Yi Fan speechless and blushing, at the same time I liked how attentive he is to her. I think food is their love language and Wen Yi Fan has finally adapted to this. I am so excited to see Wen Yi Fan courting Sang Yan 🀭

Person Bai Lu
I am really sad that bai Lu said she dosnt want to play role in idol drama ……. I am not sure what is non idol…
there was a mistake in translations, she said the only idol drama she will not do is ones that have school related in them, she will still be doing other idol dramas

at first I thought why there are many deskmate to lovers trope in cdrama. like what kind of situation that made…
This type of seating arrangement setting in schools is actually pretty common and a norm in asian schools ; co-ed of course. They also have this rule that you aren't allowed to start a relationship with your classmate, so it's really legit. I experienced the same when I used to study 🀭

Love what you shared and I'm so glad you identified the root of Yifan's pain. I kept on seeing people comment…
Yes, one grew up privileged by having a much more peaceful home and loving parents while the other was instantly neglected and left in the cold. This is also the reason why it makes sense to me that Sang Yan is capable of having a greater affection towards Yi Fan, to the point he was able to maintain that feeling until their adulthood. It shows that upbringing really does play a role, at the same time since he grew up with love it is enough for him to be able to share that love to someone who needs it which is none other than Yi Fan. I agree with that person's comment, that is true! it did help him become a better lover at some point. I also think, it did make his feelings for her grew stronger.

I never actually associate the word 'strong' simply because a character is showing the positives, rather I think real strength is found through one's weaknesses. That's a good question indeed, but I think it is still worth it at the end of the day, these struggles the characters or people go through in life is what actually leads to their full growth and one that opens up for a better life. It's not merely about achieving success but more of seeing value in the failures and hardships too. Also, someone posted a discussion above shared by a cnet on weibo which was reposted by the official FF team, it's a pretty good description of Wen Yi Fan thought you might be interested to read it.

Before I didn't have enough motivation to actually want to read but after watching the drama now, I think I will pick it up when the drama ends. Have you read the novel yet? sure I will let you know when I read it 🀭 I tend to think a lot when watching I think it is because I am an overthinker and it doesn't help that sometimes I do tend to get emotional about a drama.

Ikr he is totally down bad for her, I love his witty methods just to get his main intention to come across for her, his drunk act is so hilarious πŸ˜†. True πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I had my suspicions too, I feel he woke up first before her 🀭....yes he definitely was drunk-acting again during that scene and it was kinda obvious how bad he is at acting to be drunk πŸ˜‚ but at least he got to say what he feels!

I'm pretty sure he is aware but he is refusing to acknowledge her feelings and is opting to stay ignorant.

I think she did express and show her discomfort about his actions but I agree with you she needs to directly tell him this because none of it worked and he is still constantly trying.

I wasn't able to stand how he forced his way inside her apartment, now he is trying to deceive Yi Fan good thing is that she knows Sang Yan and easily caught on his lies. Same here, I don't like such characters as well! I heard that in the novel (I didn't read) the scene where that Mu guy went into their apartment wasn't added, they really made his character more annoying here. He's going too overboard.

exactly and the results are satisfying because Yi Fan is shown to always stand by Sang Yan.

Well we can't say he lied entirely because he did tell some truths in it, like how he told Yi Fan about him drinking ten bottles of alcohol during their graduation party, this information led to Yi Fan recalling the past and feeling hurt for Sang Yan over what she had done which led to push out her inner feelings and her pretend sleepwalking just so she could hug him like how she has been wanting to in the past. It was also shown how Yi Fan caught him with his lies pretty quickly, she knows and understands Sang Yan that she can discern his lies which is why he told him off. To add, the more he does try to do that the more it results in the opposite direction, Yi Fan is shown to draw more attention and concern for Sang Yan, so in a way the more Mu Cheng Yun does these things the more Yi Fan's lingering feeling for Sang Yan comes out in the open.

I interpreted it as two possible things, one is that he was there to look out for her incase she sleepwalk again like how he always does the second is he was merely trying to get even with Wen Yi Fan so she doesn't feel bad about sleepwalking into his room.

Title The First Frost Spoiler
Today's episodes has finally given us a more concrete evidence about Wen Yi Fan's actual feelings for Sang Yan. It is clear as daylight now that she does have lingering feelings for him, however, she is still not aware of it herself and is trying her best to distance herself from him by not getting used to his treatment and presence because she fears of being abandoned again. This spoke she has abandonment issues and not just the trauma she dealt with after being mistreated and the SA. She really went through a lot of heavy stuff, but I like how they depicted a very clear stark contrast about Wen Yi Fan's treatment towards Sang Yan versus her with other men. Her feeling a lot more safer with Sang Yan and the physical skinship they had shows way more of her feelings. It also speaks how she trust him. Her sleep walking these past episodes up to now were possibly due to her long suppressed desires and feelings which she pushed away from back then. Her sleep walking towards his room represents her actual feeling of how she doesn't want him to leave and how she constantly wants to be by his side. Now with these out in the bag, the next episode will bring out more of her feelings and a competitor is a good way to help her realize her feelings for Sang Yan even more because jealousy is the biggest feeling detector out there.

On the side note, Mu Cheng Yun has been going a bit too much these past episodes until now. There were certain scenes that his actions made me feel uncomfortable, I didn't like how he constantly seems to not get the fact that Yi Fan is bothered by his actions, the attempt to initiate physical touch all of a sudden was too much considering he did already force his way in her apartment. Although the positive side about him is that he tells Yi Fan about the past Sang Yan which results to Yi Fan getting affected and brings out new emotions for her. He would have been better off as a friend not a love rival imo.

I really like how Wen Yi Fan stood out for herself this time around, she is not naive nor weak, she is definitely strong and she is able to stand out for herself if required to. So to put it simply, she is not made to be a damsel in distress where she would require Sang Yan's help all the time but I like how they showed she has the ability to protect herself on her own even without Sang Yan. Good thing is that her superior is someone sensible.

The sleep walking scenes were honestly one of the best parts about this drama. I also loved the effort Sang Yan put in making sure she doesn't sleep walk getting bruised and she doesn't sleep walk in total darkness. The thoughtfulness in him is admirable.

"the most important thing to know is that it wasn't only love that she lost but it was also herself."You truly…
Exactly and it's sad to see people not understand her character but blame her easily for not reciprocating Sang Yan's love yet.
