Title The First Frost Spoiler
Wen Yi Fan and Sang Yan's confession scene has got to be one of the best confession scenes out there. Personally for me, it has now become my favorite. It might seem a bit cliche for others though I think otherwise. I found their confession scene to be simple yet very significant because of how it parallels to their meaningful connection from the past ; both the good and painful memories. It showed the playfulness of destiny and how fated people will always find their way to each other's arms regardless of everything.

Wen Yi Fan opening her heart out for Sang Yan was already considered a feat for her but what I loved even more is the scene where they showed us how she reminisce every single moment she had with Sang Yan in the Beiyu noodle shop where they frequent. The fact that she remembers every moment and feels sentimental thinking about it - how she thought he deserves all the good things, it speaks of how much she really does love Sang Yan. She loves him just as deeply as he does.

She finally gained the courage to extend her hand and reach out to him, and of course, Sang Yan was already there to instantly hold her. Sang Yan is truly the warmth in Yi Fan's cold life, I took this symbolism from when he placed his coat and scarf on her the moment they stepped outside, when the weather was cold and rainy, he is indeed her safest place. The words they spoke to each other held a lot of feelings, the emotions flashed in their faces during those moments clearly reflected immense amount of shared happiness that only they shared for each other in that beautiful moment ; they were both deeply moved by each other. I just really love how Sang Yan confesses not just with the words "I like you" but "It has always been you", and Wen Yi Fan's response couldn't even be more perfect, "we're mutually in love" and reaffirms to him that he is her boyfriend.

The execution of this scene - the atmosphere set, the dialogues, emotions and parallelism to their past, even without any kiss scene included at that moment is done so delicately and I felt the genuine feelings they truly had for each other across the screen. So much love for this confession scene, it's certainly an unforgettable scene. We are finally stepping into their official dating era.

Sang Yan and Wen Yi Fan's weibo update for today has been translated and uploaded under the link below β„οΈπŸƒ

So, Yi Fan spent her day at work while thinking about what gift to give to Sang Yan. While Sang Yan spent the entire day resting at home and waiting for Yi Fan to get off work. Overtime is closed down today and will resume business tomorrow.

I won’t lie the ML behaviour at times was a bit stalker ish, following her to university and watching her is…
I knew someone was going to bring this up soon. His behavior might seem stalker-ish but you have to know there is a huge difference between a real stalker and someone who is just inlove. You have to consider the fact that Sang Yan and Wen Yi Fan are close friends, Wen Yi Fan was never bothered by his presence and allows him to stick by her side. Majority of the things he does for Wen Yi Fan is out of affection and love. His intentions are good which greatly varies from a stalker. Just because he follows Wen Yi Fan around doesn't make him a stalker, there is such thing called as wanting to spend time with the one you like/love and creating opportunities for you to spend more time together. I see nothing wrong with his behavior if you consider these facts presented in the drama itself. Also if you noticed he does try to be in the same place around her but do you see him forcing his way into her personal space? a stalker would very much want to invade someones personal space meanwhile someone who just wants to spend more time with someone would just be in the same place but not to the point they'd try to force their way in someones personal space. A clear portrayal of this is during the hotel scene flashback, instead of Sang Yan wanting to occupy the room next to hers in the hotel, he left instead. Another instance is when he went to follow her to her home before to return the book she left, we can see him only leaving it outside he isn't barging his way in. It's not just because he is handsome that we are letting it slide, there is no letting slide going on here. It's because it is clear from the start that he is not a stalker. In real life, anyone who has a crush on someone has done this behaviors as well, like in school when you have a crush on someone you'd want to create opportunity for yourself and your crush to interact by being at the same place as them, it is the same thing.

on Ep4, it's so gloomy, so gray. Does it get any better? The FL still has that very sad sad look, was looking…
Despite the gloomy and gray tone this drama gives at the early episodes it eventually eases down and gradually sets in a tonal shift to the brighter and sweeter side while still maintaining balance of what it is supposed to depict. This drama shows a mature type of love story and is not focused purely on fluff, the female lead has been through and dealt with a lot but as you keep watching you will see how she heals and grows. It is worth sticking around for.

guys I need to ask yall, in these promotion videos, do yall think the leads don’t interact much? idk I just…
Bai Jingting and Zhang Rounan are both introverts and as an introvert myself I am seeing their interactions normal, it is just that they are more reserved. Also, there are a lot of videos on weibo that shows them interacting, they both laugh aloud together. Other than that, you can check The First Frost official account on douyin app, they release a lot of sweet promotional clips between these two and in behind the scenes shooting during their scene rehearsals they help each other out by giving each other ideas in order to execute a certain scene better.

The First Frost open Douban score = 5.4 (42k+ raters)I'm not particularly surprised since the Series has been…
douban these past years has been full of haters, the 5.4 rating score probably came from the novel fans who were bitter about the drama adaptation

once they get together, what is the story about?
what do you mean? even if the leads do get together there would still be a story left to tell

It's better than HL but unfortunately actors are not crazy famous, and haters are roaming around the internet.
Bai Jing Ting is actually one of the most famous actors in china, I just find that he is a bit underrated internationally.

What you said about SY's love is so true. This selfless kind of love he has for her is so endearing. I can't even…
I can relate to you, well in my case I had drifted away from modern romance dramas for a year. I tried picking up some but eventually ended up dropping them, the first frost is the first modern romance cdrama that has made me love this genre again. Yes and because of their emotional connection, they absolutely conveyed a love with so much depth. He does have a high EQ and what I appreciate about him is his silent acts of love for Yi Fan, he doesn't show off about the things he do for her or seek acknowledgement from her. He creates a safe space for her emotions and for her to express herself on her own. Truly.
