I get that part but I find the development for their dynamic lacking. I wish they could have showed us how Chong Zhao acknowledged and warmed up to Fu Ling first before he knew of her real identity because it seems so much that he is only treating her that way knowing she is Bai Xi. I still like them though I wish this aspect was improved.

Would love that. As for me I am still finishing Moonlight Mystique but that one has a lot of angst too, so I decided to opt for this to catch a break from crying for a while. I am enjoying the sisterhood as well, I like how they are a family that stands up for each other and doesn't back down easily. Just seeing them scheme or work together on their business was fun to watch. I feel the same about Kang Ning and Chai An. Apart from them I am looking forward to the 1st sister Shou Hua's love story to unfold because when I watched the trailer I got interested with their dynamic.

I don't know if it is just me but I find the sudden development in trust and affection between Fu Ling and Chong Zhao a bit too sudden. I understand that Bai Xi is the one whom he truly admires in his childhood but it seems like the discord that happened has been push back way too easily just because her identity is Bai Xi.

Right. I am actually enjoying it too as it kinda gives off slice of life vibes for me and I enjoy such dramas. I did the same as you...scroll by, I was looking for comments that shares same sentiment with me. I guess the social issues will stick around until the character development actually happens.

ngl the heat made me a bit hesitant to comment, however I did enjoy the released episodes I can't wait for their character development, there is definitely more story to tell. I think it's best if we remember this drama is just fictional and based from trailer itself there will be character developments.

I just started watching this today, came here to see comments and it seems like it's a bit tight here. I barely see comments about aspects of the drama which one enjoyed, it's constantly flooded with clashing opinions and the drama has recently just started.

Got that right! It's the same for me, except I have already seen one of his works titled Poisoned Love a modern cdrama and that was years ago. I vaguely remember how his acting was in that drama so I still consider him as someone new to me. Yes, their chemistry is definitely notable.

I relate to you, in fact it's the rarest to see such consistent intimacy in a xianxia drama let alone knowing how to communicate. Usually this type of genre tend to revolve around a lot of angst. So seeing this type of relationship bond is like a breath of fresh air for me. I like their hugs too, I think it also has to do with height difference. I notice Ao Rui Peng's arms wraps around Lulu completely, like she was really made to fit there.

I am already half-way through from finishing this drama but that is one thing I have notice about the leads and I appreciated it a lot. I like the idea of them still being intimate and laying casually next to each other on a small couch after sleeping together. This type of consistency between the intimacy of the main characters was really well thought of and done.

The voting process for chinese dramas are far more complicated than korean ones, I usually only participate in those that are on weibo. Although, you can create a weibo now to prepare and join voting for IQiyi Scream Night by end of the year.

Not a chinese citizen but voting for c-dramas are either through weibo or other chinese sites, some sites require a chinese mobile number in order to register account. Usually votings are held whenever distribution platforms hold their annual events, like for IQiyi they have iQiyi Scream Night which is an award show for all their dramas, it usually happens by end of the year. Votings for that are usually done on weibo. So it'll take a while and a need for a weibo account for international fans to vote.

On episode 28, I got goosebumps when Fan Yue caught glimpse of Jing Yuan and then Bai Shuo saw the purple moon and everything flashed back right before her eyes about the real identity of her benefactor. Jing Yuan's entrance was so elegant since the first episode. I love how they executed the parallelism when Bai Shuo asked Fan Yue to repeat after her words and the instant emotions that flashed before her eyes. Such a good revelation scene now am even more excited for more. Ao Rui Peng with the purple eyes as Jing Yuan was majestic.

EP 22-27:
The tragedy of the fox clan was already tragic enough then they decide to introduce an even more painful story for the baize clan. I cried for both Cang Shan and Qi Feng's death. However, I thought it was justifiable as the past tragedies between both clans were far too horrible. I actually disliked the members of the cold spring palace, but after learning about their past, I was able to sympathize with them.

I love the scene when Fan Yue reunited with his grandfather inside Bai Shuo's consciousness. It was both a heartwarming and sad scene to see. Before Fan Yue witnessed his grandfathers death right before his own eyes and couldn't even get to reach out to him to say a proper goodbye in his last breath, so seeing that split second hug between them felt profound. I felt the exact same feeling with regards to the fist bump which Qi Feng did at his last moments to Fan Yue.

Bai Lu was gorgeous in the red hanfu, I wanted to see more of her fight scene between Zhen Yu in that attire. Her dialogue during the scene was iconic too. The ending of episode 27 reminded me of ashes of love. I definitely think it is one of the most aesthetic kisses in a xianxia genre drama. The fireflies and the moon exploding into colors. It was a very romantic vibe and I love how we got a much more intimate kiss scene this time.
