I was watching MLM, and he kept reminding me of someone. I don’t know if it was his facial expressions, but he reminded me of someone, and a name can’t come to mind. I’m so torn.
1) I thought this drama was cute and…nice. It ventured into unexpected territory sometimes which I don’t view as a bad thing. Speaking on loopholes (plot holes even!) and cringe, I believe it was really just based on the fact that there are scenes and moments in the show where you have to press pause because of the suspense and second-hand embarrassment that some of the characters are subjected to. Drama’s aren’t meant to be very realistic. All the characters who may seem annoying in the beginning get better. Yet, what I’ve named is some of the reasons why people dropped this drama. And I don’t blame them! But just know, if you think the main characters are losing they end up winning! I was never let down by all (any) of the characters’ strengths.
2) Speaking of loopholes, I believe they could have been remedied with an additional episode or two (or perhaps been about a 30 episode show). So, they don’t really bother me because I’ve watched other dramas that had some pretty glaring loopholes that make MLM pale in comparison. But someone did note that the villains’ back stories and such could’ve been explored more. There were always hints of other characters’ backstories, but we only got hints. So, yeah. Disappointment there. Yet, I think(?) the main villain went to jail.
3) Overall, this drama kept my attention. The main actor, Fan Zhi Xin is going places (so I hope he keeps at it–and I still can’t believe he’s my age). And I do believe he and Li Mo Zhi had nice chemistry. Everyone in the cast did a good job (the best they could), and for that, I don’t put this drama in the burn pile. I might revisit this drama in the future if I need to watch something to pass the time. Yet, I can also see why others may not want to revisit the drama and think differently from me. This drama is catered towards melodrama fans, and those who have a high tolerance for cringe. Patient people too. Still shaking my head and laughing to myself about some scenes. You’ve been warned!
4) The #1 strong point in this drama is the romance. I think that was the most refreshing part.
I really dislike modern romance drama where the villain does hardcore shit like resorting to "murder." Leave darker…
I don’t know if I can get past that. Should I watch? Were the characters killed loved ones or very important ones? (I know it’s a dumb question but I’m considering watching this drama…but I’m unsure. I hate the stuff you dislike too).
I don’t know if I can get behind the villain killing 3 people and acting like it didn’t happen, and they have redemption…I don’t know if I should watch….
The story starts about a woman named Angelina (played by Coco Jiang), who had a relationship with an angel, created…
I tried clicking on the link and I downloaded Telegram, but it said invalid address 😞 I wanted to surprise my sister because she so badly wanted to watch this drama. But I can’t access the address.
Currently watching, and all I can think is “Yes! They could totally do a ‘Let’s Fight Ghost!’ remake.” I didn’t think Taiwan dabbled in fantasy like this. And this show has great CGI. So, hopefully they can do a remake of “Let’s Fight Ghost!”. Korea did it. Thailand did it. Let’s see the ROC do it.
Anywho. I like this show. It’s kept my attention. Lead guy is handsome.
Watched this again, and even after 11 years, this movie still leaves a lasting impression. I like how everyone in the movie have had lasting careers. This movie was really a charmer, and I’ll continue to come back and watch it again. One of my favorite sports films.
And I must note: the first scene of when the North Koreans and South Koreans meet hits hard. South Koreans are so IDGAF, giggles and crude jokes and North Koreans are at attention, stoic faces, and no-nonsense. You can definitely notice the difference between both parties. My 6th grade self was so astounded by this. I’m still not over it after 11 years. My sister and I always think back to this movie. It was one of the first Korean movies we ever watched.

Oh, and there was a happy ending!
