at the end, when ansu was selecting vice minister of revenue, her assistant told her 'the empress told her to do so'. was it still empress wan? she didn't get her death at the end?

does anyone knows what happened to guyu?

i can't believe i felt sympathy for songhan when ansu killed her. He gaslighted ansu, trapped her and all. that boy probably won't redeem himself even if ansu gave her second chance. but still, i felt pity for him.
lord my moral compass needed some fixing.

accidentally seen a spoiler on how this is going to end, and it's very on-brand with the director's style :( had to put the drama on hold! i'm not ready! T_T

on ep 26. i don't really buy song han's descend into evil :( after those flashbacks his choice seems just out of place.

or maybe it's just me getting tired over main couple's unending woes, pls they only have one year and they still have to contend with the mastermind behind all of this, now songhan too! bzzzz

brace yourself. it's 60 eps drama and the focus on minglan's upbringing threw off many people at the beginning but i swear to you it's worth it.

if you haven't watched minglan, please check that drama out! it's very similar with blossom, more realistic and character-centric though.

seeing the poster somehow take me straight to memory of drunk lanzhan scene lol i think i need a rewatch of cql

it's enjoyable and if you enjoy it, it will lead you to more wangxian blackhole (novels, manhwa, audio drama, animation). the cgi is old though and the camera work is a bit old, so if you can't ignore it, you'll probably not going to enjoy it as much.

has the father really turned the leaf? is he really nice and loving to dou zhao or will act up again later?

idk he might just want to avoid spotlight post-bigbang. after all,

i'm a bit confused with the sudden downfall of wu family arc (part?) it feels rushed and wushan just storming to save shougu feels a lot like just a plot device to make space for songmo vs dou shishu. Is it only me or did i miss something? and the death of songmo's mother, what happened after that? there's no clear conclusion? or it will be revealed at the end?

idk how it feel about the ending... i'm applauding this drama for being atypical with how they approach story exposition. But the ending feels a lot like the usual lore dump. Is this drama being censored into 32 eps hence the super rushed plot at the last 3 eps?

I really appreciate how they changed clothes during their quest travels to show the change of time and the length of their trip! Other xianxias usually won't bother much :(

pretty sure if there's an element of magical cultivation with deities it's xianxia. wuxia is martial arts focused drama.

it is really a breath of fresh air after years of stagnant quality in xianxia. My advice is to exhaust all xianxias you wanted to watch before this one, because pretty sure after finishing this, you'll find most xianxias not as good as this.

on episode 7! amazed by the solid plot line and progression! I was skeptical at first, thinking it would be your usual xianxia. Turns out the director is also the asst. director for Nirvana in Fire! now it's making sense why it's so good!
