currently on ep 1 and so frustrated at this lin yi guy.
this drama is emotionally taxing. definitely not recommended when you're having difficult day and want to wind down.
i was too used at Hospital Playlist I've forgotten not all medical dramas are comfort dramas lol

introducing a trick to finish this drama and love it still: watch in 2.5x speed.
You'll speed through the boring & predictable plot, but still able to see the gorgeousness of the background setting and not missing the meaningful gazes & touches between the leads.

i think because it's obviously a company drama. it was made by company owned by kakao, the leads are kingkong starship actors (which is also owned by kakao). the acting is amazing and all but the story progression is horrible and consisted a lot of tropes targeted to the mass market.

netflix distributed every kdrama under the sun these days anyways.

seems like they really banking on that 'fbi trained negotiator' thingy mentioned for like 0.5s in the beginning lol

it seems like they don't have much expectation on this drama yet it turns out to be so popular

in the end, did the male lead & trusted confidante turned into a spy for the country? or an embassy staff?

i'm nervous on how this will go. it's a topic that should be approached cautiously but looking at director's past work (snowfall), i'm a bit pessimistic.

is he not filming anything new? where do you guys found updates on his works?

is it better to watch this one or lighter and princess first?

yesss he had bike obsession to in fake it till you make it. but then he also rode a bike in another drama in republic time setting.

how come this guy could have such recurring details? is it a part of his contract clause? is he paying the production? or he specifically choose projects with bike riding lol

currently on ep 17 and all i can do is sympathize with old gao. imagine having your solo project for a competition hijacked for personal motives and have it shredded harshly from top to bottom without my willingness. i too would probably turn into a villain.

what is her ethnicity? is she has same ethnicity with dilraba?

i was expecting this to be the chinese take on tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow lol

but yeah, he was even shown as filial brother and son to songmo and madam jiang, later on song mo too tortured him for some information while we're still seeing him as a poor, lost boy over family drama. i can't help thinking what if dou zhao (or songmo himself) had shown him kindness during his transition time, would he ended up good?

is it really good scriptwriting though? or the writer just need him for more hardships for the leads?
