I completely agree with genres don't reflect your intelligence. with WTPR though, what i'm complaning is its writing, how it incorporates cliches just for the sake of it. Business Proposal is romcom full of cliches, but the writing is creative, it shows kdrama is actually capable on good writing. With how kdramas keep churning such writing, it feels like they don't treat their audience seriously.

I haven't seen memory loss trope done right in kdramas. do you have any rec? if you want to get out of your comfort zone, you might want to try Are You The One? it's memory loss done right (at least so far). It's a cdrama, though.

yessss! i was ignoring it at first but when i rewatched it, I realized the cliff was high! she fell with her back first! surely something consequential would happen! then i remember it's kdrama. the purpose of the cliches is making us happy lol

don't forget that falling down the cliff accident thing! if I have a dime for everytime i see that scene in dramas I would be rich enough to pay the production team lol
it might be the chemistry! i wasn't really buying them being troubled couple at first but now i can't think anyone more suitable for the roles.

that retreat scene is a pinnacle of a kdrama. a perfect example of lazy writing, very over-used, and logic defying. tl:dr this show is trash but I FREAKIN LOVE IT it doesn't even cross my mind to drop this drama and I'll still twiddle my thumbs until friday waiting for what happened next.
god grief I feel like my grandma devotedly watching those morning and afternoon soap operas. is this a karma for me teasing her back then lol

it's dec 7 in my area! fave saeon moment: young saeon switching plates with young heejo! there's just something poignant about it!

please try mr sunshine! yooyeonseok's character there has similar yearning with park saeeon! (just less happy bcs he is not the main lead)

i have a feeling the production team didn't expect for the drama to be this popular (at least globally, idk abt its domestic popularity) since it's a company drama. idk but that's my guess in why there's not much promo on this drama and why sometimes the scenes felt crudely edited.

even in reddit sub this drama has like 700 comments while others just get hundred max (except for brewing love, that one has around 300+ comments)

shhhh in kdrama world we shall not talk about scene mishaps, lingering scars (unless it's important as plot device)

when the phone rings brought me back here. yoo yeonseok's character there really reminds me of gudongmae lol.

i personally think the chemistry is great but restrained. it's very fitting with the characters' social standing and the time setting of the drama. if you see chemistry as kisses etc, you'll be very, thoroughly, disappointed.

hong in-a please defy the usual kdrama trope and be a good sister please!

i've checked all the dramas in rec tab but this drama is still in my mind. anyone please rec me a drama similar to this, cdrama, jdrama, tdrama, or even western series pls i'm desperate! i can't wait like this for weeks!
