Well, that's one of the main differences with the novel actually. In the novel, some of the most heartbreaking…
Yea!! When I wrote that I was actually thinking more about the novel and yea I completely agree ^^ I just found it ironic how WWX claims they're the most important phrases yet he doesn't need to say them to his most important person. So beautiful ahhhhhh
yeah! WWX did end up saying "thank you" and "sorry" to LWJ during the snowfall scene but I think that their agreement…
No disrespect to your opinion but I still stubbornly believe that WWX was just saying that to himself because I see it like he knows that LWJ doesn't like to hear it but LWJ still heard him because they have telepathy :)
See a beautiful & very informative meta analysis of the term 知己 [zhiji] in The Untamed here: https://hunxi-guilai.tumblr.com/post/612161034673946624/all-right-guys-lets-have-a-conversation-about/amp
I was just about to boast about my knowledge of 知音 (zhiyin) until I read further lol But wow I learned a lot from this! Thanks for sharing! Hmm I always thought soulmate is the right translation for 知己 (zhiji) mainly because in my English dictionary the definition of soulmate it's describing two souls that fit one another perfectly and just *gets* one another. But it was nice to learn about the level of complexity of this phrase.
Beautiful ;_;Your post reminds me that Wen Qing's last words to WWX are "I'm sorry and thank you." I think WWX…
Yes such a heartbreaking moment for Wen Qing :( come to think of it Wen Qing and Shijie were pretty much the only two female characters that appeared in WWX's life yet both had very big impacts on him.
yeah! WWX did end up saying "thank you" and "sorry" to LWJ during the snowfall scene but I think that their agreement…
I'm not sure if LWJ heard him during that scene though. WWX said it very quietly so I thought he was more thinking it but not really saying it loudly idk
I just had a sudden realization that Wei WuXian once said that "the two most important phrases you have to say in your life are 'thank you' and 'sorry'" yet he and Lan WangJi mutually agreed that between them there is "no need to ever say 'thank you' and 'sorry'". My heart-
Just saw the final ranking and there bound to be a heartbreak...just the nature of the show. I do believe that…
Yea I feel like the competition is way too fierce in this show especially since they lowered the number of spots to 7. I agree with you that none of the members seem to be really friends with one another, whereas compared to Youth With You all the members seem to get along really nicely and naturally.
Glad you decided to give this show a chance :)Kdrama Vs Cdrama is a broad topic so I'll leave it to someone with…
If you're interested in anime you can check out the donghua version of this story then decide if the story is to your liking! But be warned the donghua has 3 seasons but only has 2 seasons out currently. Up to you, just a suggestion.
It seems to me you are attaching a negative connotation to the notion of cults. So I quote you from below: "Untamed…
There is no need to give me the "keep trying" attitude when all I am merely doing is suggesting different perspectives as replies to what you said. I am not trying to "prove" or win this "debate" because to me this was never a meaningful thing to debate on anyway. I was one of the first to say that I am happy you found something you like. But I think it was absolutely unnecessary to come onto here and treat us like your enemy. And that's all I will say on this... Edit: I consider myself a Chinese audience but it's just that I am living internationally. Does that mean you would trust my rating over another person's? No right? So I don't think nationality really matters.

And by the way I found the douban link to TKEM as well: https://movie.douban.com/subject/33437305/ So...seems to me TKEM is overrated on MDL too according to your argument...?
https://movie.douban.com/subject/27195020/Proof that untamed is overrated. And just has a cult following here…
It seems to me you are attaching a negative connotation to the notion of cults. So I quote you from below: "Untamed never reached cult status internationally the same way TKEM does." You're calling the Untamed fanbase a cult? Well...didn't you just call the TKEM fandom a cult as well? Also replying to this: "Hmm, should I trust international fans watching a Chinese drama, or Chinese fans watching a Chinese drama?" Why does "international fans" and "Chinese fans" have to be two separate categories? I identify as both so does that mean you trust me?
If you want to talk about buzz, well, fans of The Untamed recently just celebrated the 1st anniversary of its broadcast so certainly there has been a lot of buzz surrounding The Untamed recently--after a whole damn year too I should say. It's not like every drama holds anniversary celebrations right? That should say something about how well received The Untamed is. I'm not saying you should now hold an anniversary celebration for The King Eternal Monarch, but just trying to say that your point about buzz doesn't really work.
Genuinely curious have you read the fan fic you are referring to? Because I have. And I can't understand why people…
Yea that one. I feel like author's should have the freedom to write whatever they want as long as the content doesn't hurt anyone so I just feel bad for the author and confused at the fan's actions.
We fans over at The King Eternal Monarch just want you to know, we will be catching up to your comment count soon.…
I believe we all should be happy that there are so many people who like both dramas :D. And yes we will enjoy our success while it lasts, which I genuinely think will last a lifetime for most people here, just like for the fans over there for The King Eternal Monarch!
I'm honestly confused why people are soo into this. The guys are gorgeous. I love Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan. I LOOOOOOVE…
Genuinely curious have you read the fan fic you are referring to? Because I have. And I can't understand why people are attacking it so furiously. I feel like I'm the only one defending the author of the fic. Yes there are adult content but that warning was already given by the author. If one does not like it, then just...don't read it...? I'm open to anyone who has read it to discuss it with me :) If you have not read it then I can only say you're blindly jumping aboard a bandwagon.
1. Did the little brother of Xie Zhong Ru play any significant role? If I remember correctly the little brothers…
Thank you for the answers! Most make sense to me now. I still don't understand the last one though. According to what you're saying it technically means both the 27 and 38 year olds contained LZW's soul, which means LZW's soul existed in 2 bodies at once...?
Tell me, as a non BL fan, is this drama ok?Too much BL vibes in my timeline about this drama and it's a turn off…
This question gets asked soo frequently I feel like we should have a discussion reserved just for it... In short, yes go watch it! In long, BL is not the main point of this drama. There are so many more aspects of this drama that you can find out and enjoy regardless of BL or lack of BL or whatnot. To stress further, to me this drama does not focus on romance (even if the cp was changed to heterosexual I still wouldn't say it focuses on romance). There may be romantic elements but ultimately it is up to the viewer to decide the relationship between the main leads. That's one of the things I like most about this drama: the complex relationships between not just the main leads but between literally every single character all can vary due to personal interpretation.
