Xu kai doesn't agree to this method of using real CP to gain popularity. That's why he unfollowed Bai Lu. Because Bai Lu agreed to cooperat e with Yu Zheng. Noticed how all the things you read blame Xu Kai's side because that's what paid marketing is because they know majority of people are not that wise to think and will believe everything they read. And btw why do you think xk fans don't want them to cooperate again? Because they have experience what it's like during The Legends. And what was it like during the legends? Because they believe every single rumors spread by yxh and even speculate from it, assuming on their own and believing it as facts and attack xu kai and his fans for it then when people ask for evidence they will claimed victim. For example the typical slander that xu kai's fans attack her mom, you ask them for evidence they have none, because the fact is, that incident of people attacking her mom happened during the airing of Untouchable Lovers and audience was pissed off at the height of the tension and she announced on weibo that her mom opened new weibo account then people flock her comment sections. Xu Kai and her drama wasn't even release yet at that time so no CP fans, even Yanxi wasn't release yet so Xu Kai was unknown with few casual fans so who would attack her mom, but over the years they spread this rumor among themselves by telling these "facts" to new fans and influence netizens through paid marketing accounts repeating the words like mantra and adding more ridiculous claim, it became "Xu Kai's fans attack Bai Lu's mom" poor Bai Lu, Xu Kai don't deserve her etc. and label Xu Kai's fans as toxic, suddenly their impossible cooperation was blamed on Xu Kai's fans who they claimed wanted Xu Kai for themselves, as if we are braindead who couldn't think better.

I don't think Xu Kai see it that way. He barely come out in the drama, most of his hard work was cut off. It was not rated well not just because of the script, the drama was butchered beyond recognition, not only it insult IQ and original fans, it even insult normal drama watcher. Siba should go bankrupt for what they have done with it. What fans saw his training paid off? His scenes barely on the screen. Most of the fans at Weibo is super pissed off that they don't even rate the drama, and that was being kind enough.

Yes its true, except for the part Xu Kai didn't agree in the beginning. We never know that but Yu zheng bought hot search before the drama airs to say "Xu kai love the script anyway" so that when the drama flops people will mock him for choosing the script when the fact is every script has to go through yu zheng and he filtered it for xu kai according to which project he can take advantage of. Xu Kai never posted a goodbye post for Dongbo Xueying and that says how he feels about the drama.
