I applaud Xu Kai to be brave enough to take on characters that has potential not to be popular with audience just to challenge himself. Some actors and actresses carefully chose characters that can assure their popularity.

So no, Chen Xiao is not seasonal, he is actually on demand now than ever when he was younger. So yes it would be wonderful if Xu Kai is following Chen Xiao or Huang Xuan path. Xu Kai's aim is not to be popular but to have good characters, unfortunately his career is going through a rough patch but that's normal for actors. No, Yu Zheng is known to favour his female artists more than male artist. He won't sabotage them, as you can see, he added scenes for her in Untouchable Lovers, a favor Xu Kai never receive from yu zheng, and he put her 1st billing in AMA and The Legends over Xu Kai despite both don't have previous works to justify the billings during the casting. Like I said this is not the first time Yu Zheng did things like this. He did the same exact thing to Chen Xiao and Zhang Zhehan.
