yep, because other people keep paying for more screen time while his company didn't do anything to defend his rights. but his name was being used to get attention to the drama, and also his name that was smeared when the drama didn't do well.

Being huge star means your position will be use by your boss for their benefits. So many dramas he was used as a bargain chip for his boss to secure projects for other artists in the company rather than sending these artists out to auditions to get supporting roles etc. Their company used short cut by using him to find jobs for others instead. So when there are many "political" exchange, the other party take advantage as well. Also his boss does not want any of his project to be a success because that means he can leave the company. He doesn't accept those scripts, he said so in his recent interview he wanted to work harder to be able to have a choice in scripts.

His boss didn't know he took on the drama until it was too late for him to make any deal using the drama.
If his boss know he was offered the drama, like SEL and WOL and other dramas before that, he will set a list of conditions to production team to abide in order for him to let Xu Kai take on the project. It's like, "you want him? okay but you have to promise to give me this and that then you can have him" . This conditions usually did not benefit xu kai but to benefit his personal favourites.
So Xu Kai didn't tell he signed on to CHJ until it was too late for his boss to set any conditions on production team. Hence as you can see no Huanyu artists in the cast list. and I hope it remained that way

But his boss keep sabotaging it by using his dramas as resource exchange which allows the production to trample over him. With snow eagle lord alone his boss makes 4 resource exchange using his position. WOL although looks promising still has some transactions done by his boss even ABAY did, so far CHJ the only one his boss couldn't get his hands on it because xu kai sign it behind his back. He really need to leave.

The drama had a good rating first 2 days due to stickling to the theme but in later episodes too much romance in a male frequency drama and changes in the original source is a recipe for chasing out target viewers of this theme. Siba really use this drama to promote their artists is not helping either. Although personally I am intrigued to follow with the storyline so far.

I think cdrama has a cult and get accusatory when people disagree with them is my take away from your replies. TTEOM VFX is over reaching with mere purpose to impress and is miles away from the VFX scenery creation that LOTR, Narnia, Harry Potter is able to achieve, hence I don't agree with your statement that it's the best in the world.

I'm not even a fan of Marvel franchise as I am a sole fan of X-men comic series and they butchered my childhood comic. But to say their VFX is unrealistic trash compared to TTEOM is very laughable, no seriously try make a comparison video of it and show to non-cdrama watcher.

The best in the world means better than Lord of the rings and the marvels of hollywood, cdrama ratings are for cdrama fans to feel proud for themselves often nothing to do with quality.

I don't know what people see in TTOEM VFX... the best in the world? It's very fake looking for me.

and no natural scenery would have cost a lot more. you have to book hotels for all the casts and crews, you have to pay rent for the locations, transportations, equipments etc for Siba which I read can barely pay their idols currently, this is definitely not affordable.

Just finished watching all 6 episodes, despite some negative comments saying the first 3 episodes are weak, I actually think it started strong in terms of fight scenes, storyline etc. I have not been able to finish a lot of dramas for the past years because it all started too showy, will continue watching how this one develop.

I absolutely hated Legend of Fei director, he was so full of himself with what he has done with the martial arts movement in that drama. This drama director did better, the fight sequence actually looks more logical. But there is a reason you hated this drama and I happened to like what I see so far while you think Legend of Fei director is good and I absolutely don't agree with it.

Maybe, its the face shape I guess that make him look younger. Nazha, Yang zi, tsy all definitely don't look old, they are beautiful.

I really don't want to go there but I feel like some fans who came in from FIYS are mostly school students because I've just seen another one who said Nazha looks old and Xu Kai shouldn't pick old looking partner. Like what are these people seeing that I don't see~

1st week will air for 5 Consecutive days,
1st day premiere usually drop 4-8 episodes at once (TBA)

SEL won't have the same kind of marketing the other drama will have because SEL was produced by Siba and they are currently broke.
