Yeah its much much more interesting and compelling and Ding Yunqi character has more edge to it then just a smart man.

Just the first few chapters when they started filming last year. I didn't read full because I don't want to spoil myself, well turns out they changed everything.

your marking is actually on par with me. towards the end i felt like everyone is being reduced to dull character. the characters in the original novel is much more interesting

Royal Feast actually has a good rating in Hong Kong. But yeah court lady has a messy editing due to censorship and lost in the kunlun mountains as well. Unfortunately if a young actor wanted to succeed nowadays they have to take a pure romance drama plot, because their gov banned a lot of characters setting that is challenging for main protagonist for example starting out as a moral grey, then redemption, and they rarely have good script writer either.

The new governement rules that I read says that tomb raiding theme or scenes of going into a tomb seeking for treasure is now banned because it gives a bad influence to citizen to aim for wealth. The other part they deleted is due to the recent scandal in another drama which has a Japanese element so the handsigns in the drama is the core of this drama storyline they took it out for fear of being took down due to similarities with Naruto handsigns.

I have a love and hate with this drama, I was ready to drop looking at the first few episodes but a conversation scenes between Ding Yunqi and Luo Yunsong hook me back up and I started watching again and I didn't fast forward at all starting from episode 8, the dialogue is compelling to me. I like the scenes between Ding Yunqi and Cui Yanzhi as well it has a really great build up. For me the drama was interesting to follow until episode 28, the good acting with some of the cast really help cover the flaw. As I know all the problems these drama face with scene cut and everything, I feel like the director is lacking in the continuity of story-telling for adventure part. Nevertheless the fact that I can finish this drama is a good thing already. I have several favourite scenes that I would definitely rewatch. Especially the finale scenes. That was a good martial art scenes, something that I craved from a supposed martial art community drama. The ending obviously changed and got cut short because I saw the wrapped up drama photo Wu Shuang is wearing a different outfit, I will upload the photo in the gallery section.

I don't think Yun Song has ever told Fengling and yeah I think Ladyship is using Fengling to get closer to Kunlun.

It's treasure hunt plot, a lot of guessing games, noticing hints in dialogue etc. there is no dog blood backstabbing, satisfying revenge things like that. It's more on historical artifacts puzzle and clues. I enjoyed it but the censorship cut is very obvious so depends if you like this kind of plot. Barely any romance.

If what i'm seeing is right, dragon bone will have to insert on the right box and the dragon staff on the left box aside from the 5 soul pursuit

My theory is that from looking at tomorrow's preview, in order to open the ancestors temple hall of Heavenly official only Heavenly official can open it with the Heavenly Official soul pursuit order but to open the kunlun mountains (behind the temple hall I assumed) it needed all 5 soul pursuit order, but looking at the finale preview after finding out from Shiqi that one of the trap in the hall is that if he turned the tablet in the middle it will collapse the whole mountain closing the kunlun mountains forever, so seems like Ding Yunqi decided to buried himself and greedy Tianlong closing the entrance rather than opening the Kunlun Mountains hence he don't need all the soul pursuit order because he won't open it. This way neither Her Ladyship, Commander Hu or Tianlong can get their hands on the treasure inside the Kunlun Mountains.

This is what I'm worried about because... I just realized from BTS they wrapped up him wearing what he last wore with Tianlong

tomb raiding element has recently been banned and the drama originally has hand signs represent each sect but it was removed all of it for fear of being accused plagiarism from Naruto (eventhough its not)

nah, they can't air overseas without passing permission from the gov either. One movie didn't passed censorship and the director still submitted it to overseas film festival, the movie was called back, and the director was banned.

Yeah I love the filter or non-filter, it makes all the actors facial expression looks real for once.
