I agreed with this so much. That's what they should have done with the plot rather than idling around for 6 episodes. There is no problem inserting romance but better do it seamlessly with the main plot rather than random choppy scenes.

Yeah hopefully they do, in the novel I think he found out he's a demon at the end of book 1, but the build up from the beginning on how he found out is good.

Yeah and it's even hard to say they are together because there are a lot more fighting so basically no time for that. But in the novel Long Wei'er met Li Xuan first. No problem. They are the first and second to be accepted into the academy. Since the novel has no ending yet, there is no conclusion who is with Li Xuan in the end.

There is no character Prince Mu in the novel so we can only follow the drama for the progress as they added just added this character hahaha fyi the only love triangle in the novel i between Youlian, Li Xuan and Long Wei'er

I thought with 28 episode they wouldn't have time to mess around the plot. They did good up until episode 13. They wasted 4 episodes on 2nd lead love line that has nothing to do with the main storyline when they should have develop Li Xuan's background as a hybrid. We are at 18th episode and they are only just talking about his mom. I like the personality of character in the drama better than the book, but the book has a more solid plot. And the screenwriter is the author herself why did she changed it so much. Oh during that ambush on Kunwu Clan, I know I saw Li Xuan fighting scenes in a behind the scene footage, but they cut it out, reducing the episode of him just staring at the battle. I hope they picked up the pace next week, with only 10 episode left, definitely a rush ending.

True the acting is so good it pulled you in that sad moment, like you said we could really feel the pain of the separation.

Considering they made it more lighthearted than novel, I think the author intend to make it happy ending. Let's hope so! Because the Li Xuan in novel is suffering so much, I prefer drama Li Xuan haha

Just finished the latest episode, have to say the acting in episode 13 and 14 are so good.... I teared up lil bit. So far for me, the cgi might be awkward and the plot can be a little choppy... but the cast acting is great so far that you barely notice those flaws.
