I remember saying at the beginning that Secretary Ji was going to lose it once the romance kicked in and I'm somewhat glad to see that I was right about him. Also, why do people delete text messages like the person who sent it can't just say "hey, I sent you a message and you didn't respond"? Lmao. Mr. Ji is starting to act out and his immaturity is showing now. I kept waiting for him to toss her overboard on the yacht but he did the next best thing LOL. I'm sure he will do something to get the police to realise they have the wrong person in custody but in the meantime, that poor boy will keep suffering in detention.
I also hope those annoying moms who love spreading gossip will be dealt with soon, especially the so-called influencer. She clearly didn't learn anything from the whole debacle with Chi Yeol and Haeng Song and I need her to get a taste of her own medicine soon.
I'm now more than halfway through this and I still do not like Zhang Ping. I'm still hoping he'll grow on me but I find him so annoying and short-sighted 99% of the time. I've never seen JBR in any other drama but his performance here as Lan Jue is so good.
I decided to check this out on a whim and ended up binging the whole thing in one night! It's goofy, silly, funny, endearing and somehow still tackles some serious issues. I had so much fun watching this show and I definitely recommend it.
I enjoyed how dramatic Mi Ran and Kang Ho were and even found Na Eun so adorable with her weakness for handsome men. I think the dynamics between the characters was great and all the actors had such good chemistry together. I haven't had such a good time watching a drama in a while.
If it really turns out that he ghosted him because of the hoodie I'm going to be so upset π they were supposed to be in university right? Not high school kids with zero sense and even less communication skills. I want to believe there's more to the story, but even that won't justify Woo Jae's behaviour, especially now.
I never thought Mr. Ji (the assistant) could be the killer but after reading comments here, now I'm almost convinced. It tracks especially since the killer seems to be taking out people who pose a difficulty to Chi Yeol. The stalker and the rude student for example, as well as attacking the shop when it looked like Chi Yeol and Haeng Seon were fighting. I think he may get jealous of NHS later when CCY starts to develop feelings for her and show those feelings, so we'll see what happens then. His motive does interest me because if he is the brother of the dead student as someone suspects, then I would've expected him to not want to have anything to do with CCY but I'll wait for the mystery to unravel.
I'm really enjoying CCY and NHS interactions because they're really cute together. So far, it's a nice show to look forward to every weekend.
I don't understand why this was split up into seasons because season 1 was really disappointing for me, following Mi Ho's journey. She didn't seem to have gained anything beyond more pain and suffering at the end of the season which I found to be annoying. She was always in need of saving and I'd have been more open to it if it wasn't presented as a whole season.
Maybe season 2 will be better, but I won't be rushing to watch that. I'll always support anything Lee Da Hee does so I'll watch it eventually, but this left a sour taste in my mouth. Also, props to Cha Eun Woo for a great performance as Johan. This is my favorite role of his so far.
I'm not going to rage about the last 2 episodes cos it would be repetitive at this point. I'm just so disappointed that after all the soul searching done by Alex while RJ was away, he still acts like an indecisive teenager 8 MONTHS LATER. What was the point of all those discussions and all the introspection if he was going to immediately regress when RJ showed up and then never show any growth again?
As for Ye Qiran and the sister, it was bad enough that they made them a couple, but making the climax their wedding rehearsal? JAIL. Should've left it off with them going to Hualian together and us imagining their happy ending.
As for our main couple, I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow and I thought the actors were phenomenal together. The end was rushed and almost every negative comment left here is justified so I won't repeat the sentiment.
All in all, I'm glad I watched it, and I hope whoever leaked the finale steps on legos.
If I were in his shoes I wouldn't stop until this agency ceases to exist. The CEO deserves to be in jail. Even if he sued for money, it's HIS money. This amount is nothing since they could pay it so easily and they can't expect anyone to believe this is all he would've earned if they'd paid him for all those years. I hope he gets everything he's after but I really need the CEO to be punished.
Really Unpopular opinion : I don't want Naksu back to her assassin era or get her powers back. I never actually…
The phrase "we are the sum of our experiences" comes to mind. Is she really Naksu when she doesn't have the memories and connections she built throughout her life? She's cute, sure. But she's not really Naksu. The whole point of S1 and why it was more heartbreaking was that she grew from just being an assassin to someone who cherished the people she had come to know and learned to love and feel warmth. Erasing her memory to make her more palatable is a cop out to me cos we don't need perfect characters, we need good characters who show development. I personally didn't like Naksu/Mudeok because she was a badass killer (we barely got to see that side of her). I liked her because she was flawed and likeable and showed great development from the start of the show, to the end of it.
"They should remember her face, right?"Wrong. At the secret room in Songrim no one recognized her. Her face was…
No one was supposed to know her at the secret room though? They met her when they fought her and her body was very well preserved after she died until they burned it. Plus they spent a lot of time studying her body while they tried to figure out what was going on. If they're as good as everyone says they are, remembering the face of the deadliest assassin they encountered should not be a challenge.
So far, I really only have 2 questions. First, I thought Seo Yul saw Naksu's body in the first season. I expected him to recognize her, if not immediately then soon. Actually, everyone who fought Naksu should recognise her, right? I know it's been 3 years, but she was the most famous and feared assassin that ever lived. They should remember her face, right? Secondly, I wonder if Naksu will remember everything that happened before she died or will they completely erase Mudeok and reset Naksu to before season 1.
I've finished it and I'm so confused about why the final episodes are getting so much hate. Qin Shi reminds me a lot of Kook Yeon Soo from Our Beloved Summer cos they both had to practically be tortured into admitting that they're in love. She's always been a commitment-phobe and it made sense to me that Yang Hua eventually pulled back when he saw that she wasn't ready to walk the same path, especially when he already knew what he wanted out of the relationship. She had to take the long way round and he figured it would be best for her to do it without feeling like she had to be with him since he was there. It's nice to be chosen and I get that.
My favorite part of the last few episodes was how Wu Fei just ceased to exist cos she annoyed the hell out of me with her constant screeching by the end. Madam Tang remained a hypocrite to the bitter end and I am so happy that Qin Shi eventually quit that awful firm. I just know that as her practice gets bigger she's going to poach some of her assistants in the family law unit and it makes me smile to think about.
Overall, I enjoyed nearly everything about this show and Qin Shi is now my favorite character played by Yang Mi. She's flawed but ultimately so likeable and it makes me happy to root for her.
WF is immature. It's maybe because of their age gap. TJH is almost 40 years old while she is around 25. She is…
Honestly, even if QS really did cheat on TJH, it's none of WF's business. All that energy she's wasting on QS should've been spent on her fiance so she could see him visibly getting tired of her and her family. I'm sure when they finally break up she'll find a way to blame QS.
Wu Fei is so funny cos Qin Shi and Yang Hua live in her head rent free while they barely acknowledge her existence. She's so tiresome and everyday she becomes even more annoying even to TJH. She keeps showing how immature she is and it makes me laugh most of the time.
I still don't understand why Qin Shi's brother won't get out of that toxic relationship. Even worse, now they're talking about bringing a child into that mess? I truly hope not. It's one thing to bicker from time to time, but they act like they can't stand each other 90% of the time and a child won't magically fix that.
I enjoyed Qin Shi and Yang Hua again. I skipped the extended scene with Li Dai and her client but if whatever happened there is why she kept calling Yang Hua, I cannot understand why she would go to his parents when he didn't answer, instead of his wife. Whatever situation she thinks Yang Hua is in, his parents cannot solve it and they certainly don't know where he is and what he's doing when he's a married man with a home of his own. She's so weird for that.
I guess the prenup drama is over? That was remarkably underwhelming for how much time we wasted on the couple. Maybe they'll circle back and justify it later.
I also hope those annoying moms who love spreading gossip will be dealt with soon, especially the so-called influencer. She clearly didn't learn anything from the whole debacle with Chi Yeol and Haeng Song and I need her to get a taste of her own medicine soon.

I don't know what's coming next but I'm going to binge the remaining 9 episodes with an open mind.
