Love's Ambition and modern romance stories like The Early Spring share core similarities in exploring realistic relationship flaws, emotional healing, and personal growth against a contemporary city backdrop.

•Flawed Characters: Both stories feature complex, realistic protagonists carrying emotional baggage, pride, or past insecurities rather than perfect fairy-tale figures.

•Relationship Friction: They dive deep into the tension caused by social differences, personal misunderstandings, or hidden truths that test the foundation of the romance.

•Personal Transformation: The main characters go through painful trials or separation that force them to drop their facades, face their true identities, and mature.

•Urban Settings: Both dramas use a fast-paced modern workplace or city environment to shape the career ambitions and life choices of the leads.

Both involve a hunt for treasure and possible gold. They also share government officials who get dragged into this treasure hunt, some of whom immediately start to regret how ill-informed and badly respected they're finding themselves out to be. There is also a relentlessly doggedly determined yet always in ill health character in both that you may like but question their methods lol. Both also share a ragged group of bandits (?) whose number slowly dwindles as they try to kill the others yet end up dying themselves lol.

Full of intelligence, wit, grit, impressive fight scenes, detailed costumes, real locations, and a host of unique characters — both dramas will leave you fulfilled.

Same screenwriter & director. It has the same dark and gritty feel to it. The fight scenes are fairly realistic in both, and life unfortunately is shown to be on the cheaper side for some characters but both seem to have factions fighting for *something.* Gold is involved in both as well as some kickass women and other mysteries.

Same director, some of the same cast, same dark and gritty style. Also more of a non-idol wuxia. Smaller amount of episodes, too.
