Recommendations

The cast for the ML and FL in both dramas is the same, and both dramas deal with family dynamics. The plot for the shows couldn't be more different, so this recommendation is more or less for those who want to see more of the on screen chemistry between the actors.

Both dramas are all about youth, romance, comedy. The characters are students and both are set in school setting. Both dramas have transferee main characters.

In Longing for You, a murder case occurs in Woojin, a town that doesn't have crime. Oh Jin Sang, joins the investigation team when his younger brother is identified as a suspect in a murder case, he later is cleared of false accusations, and the true culprit is revealed. The brother is suddenly attacked by someone on a rainy night and dies unexpectedly. In 'My Perfect Stranger', Yoon Hae-jun and Baek Yoon Young travel back in time to 1987, to investigate serial murder cases that happened in Woojung-ri , another town that doesnt have criminal activities. Hae-jun attempts to prevent his death in the future, and he and Yoon-young try to save people who are close to them.

*Only differences are that in 'Longing for You', there is no time travel, and that they aren't trying to investigate serial killings.

In both dramas, one of the lead's mother is responsible for lying and destroying the other's family. Despite their past, the two are drawn to each other.

Both movies are set in school with a ML with family trauma who has issues getting close to the FL who falls for him first.

Both portray a relationship between the older teacher ML and his younger student FL. Both FLs crush on the ML first and slowly win his heart.

it has a similiar feel. There is humour drama and a mystery to be solved. Although both stories are toatlly different.m PN is about a girl that travels into the past, SM is about a half Thia half Spanish girl that speaks English and doesn't fit it. Both have good endings although PN does has some sadness in it.

Both are about the embittered supernatural being ML who saves the dying FL for his own goals, but in the process changes and falls in love.

Both shows follow the main character whose first love disappears and then shows up again years later. In "Our Dating Sim" the main character's first love disappears and later shows up as a new employee at his office and I think "Jun and Jun" would follow a similar plot based on the synopsis.

Both MLs are wealthy, FLs are from a middle class loving family and the two become involved due to strange circumstances. The MLs start out toxic and cruel and then truly fall in love with the FL and are willing to give up everything for her. The SFLs are the ML's childhood friends and fiancées and a performer (ballerina vs. pianist) who become obsessed with the ML and determined to drive the FL away. Both FLs become pregnant and suffer a miscarriage due to an accident caused by the SFL. There is a SML who is always around the FL and comes to her rescue.

In both dramas, the main couple has a fairly healthy relationship.
Also, the female leads are humans*.


*okay ye tan is actually a flower spirit but for most of the show she doesn't know that until later
