Although revolves around the military and another around prison both dramas are very similar regarding the relationship between the male leads and their respective girlfriends. Especially the story of Seo Dae Yeong x Yoon Myung Ju (DOTS) and Kim Je Hyuk x Kim Ji Ho (Prison Playbook) is very very similar.
Both are set in Taiwan after martial law and feature stories about burgeoning youth dealing with their sexual orientation.
Both have murder mysteries, plot twists and an intelligent female lead that is involved in solving the mystery.

Refreshingly humorous , just enough court intrigue to keep you engaged, topped with a dollop of envy. Even the bad guys are likeable at times!
