This show is actually the prequel to the Lost Tomb series. It's where the formation of the Nine Families that are mentioned in the series, even though some of the characters aren't exactly like those in the rest of the series.
Same name, same thing, different cast.
Idk why no has suggested this yet. If you liked the movie then I’m sure you would like the drama too. Unless you don’t like different casts then I can’t help you there.

TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!
Mental? Psycho? Try growing up with a bunch of disturbing parent with a killer instinct. Award winning movies, a list senior actors + yeojingoo that should be enough to keep u interested.

They both have same director. They both deal with love and duty vs honour, and a lower caste samurai being asked to kill someone he is reluctant to.
same director - same themes of love and difficult decisions about honour
Lawless Attorney (Lawless Lawyer) features the same kind of hero, strong and protective who watches out for the FL even though she is strong in her own right and can take care of herself. The ML would prefer to settle things with the law, but he's got no problem using his fists if he has to.
both are rather quiet and slife of life-y family focused films screenwritten and directed by Koreeda. In both a certain revelation turns the life of the characters around, in Like Father Like Son its the driving point of the story while in Shoplifters it gets introduced way later in the movie. Both films also make you question if it had been better if they never found out or not and if your real family are your blood relatives or if it is the people you live with and who raise you.
Innocent BL without explicit content
Both feature adolescent boys falling in love, family life, of "normal" families.
Excellent work from all the young actors.

Playful kiss is a kdrama version of it started with a kiss , Male lead is popular and very smart , the female lead is kinda dumb and chases after male lead even if he completely shows no interest in the start for a long time
Okay, hear me out.
-Both are romantic Kdramas.
-Charismatic, smooth MLs who fall in love first & pursue FLs.
-Strong FLs competent in career paths.
-Adorable second couples (with strong FLs as well)
-Both FLs struggle to commit to the relationship at first, but are eventually won over.
-Both dramas have the right amount of complication but also fluffiness (DOTS also has more action although side FL in WWW can fight hehe).
-Search: WWW is focused more on the FL, and other female characters than their love interests however.

Similar story-line: The hero(ine) travels into the past, and than stuck there...
In both you can find: timeless love, introduction of modern thinking and devices and funny moments.

Romance, stubborn Love. Relationship full of obstacles, challenging, up and down, painful love. Separation, jealousy, hardship, strong bond. Trust, truth, deep. Classic romantic Korean drama. Beautiful OST, beautiful casts, well layout, story of love between man and woman.
Both have the same director and are about low ranking samurai who deal with love, impending poverty, and honour.
-Same genres (comedy, travel, friendship, life)
-Lee Seung Gi's personality and looks never changed in many years
-Both shows give lots of laughter, very funny and enjoyable!

These dramas in my opinion had a similar vibe to them
* Bubbly ,vibrant and headstrong female lead
* Protective and lovable male lead
* Comical supporting characters
* In both the main leads are destined to be together
* supporting parents or parent
And overall if you enjoyed Melting me softly i'm pretty sure you'll like While you were sleeping :)
