In 'Theory of Love', there are a pile of film references, among them, 'My Girl'. The name of TOL's last episode is because of that film.

During the series, there is a lot of mentions to the protagonists of 'My Girl', Jeab and Noi-Naa, since this film is a Thai cinema's culture icon.

They are similar in the way that they try to realistically portray the working lives of the main characters . The friendship (only 2 in the producers) & relationships are also similar. Overall, both are slice of life shows without exaggerating or being over the top.

Its similar in the main lead changing into two character with totally opposite personalities. The secret life of my secretary where the female lead accidentally change her character to another person without the male lead knowing. While, Fall in love with me, the male lead changes his personality into complete opposite of himself without being recognize by the female lead
