Both ITSAY (I Told Sunset About You) and MGYG (My Gear and Your Gown) are stories centered around a gay romance which involve the friends to enemies to friends to lovers trope with the characters developing a stronger bond during tutoring sessions.

While ITSAY has a very unconventional and beautiful storyline which deals with the fears of coming out and coming of age, MGYG is not far behind. It deals with topics like HIV, parental problems, dealing with hurdles like the death of a parent and coming of age. Both these dramas also involve a transition from school life to university, in which the characters undergo significant changes. In ITSAY the university life is dealt with in the sequel while MGYG does so in twelve episodes.

This is the Chinese adaptation of the same storyline. I really love this version. Others might argue with me about the merits and downfalls of this version verses others, but isn’t that the beauty of opinions?

They both have a very successful businessman who gets off to a rocky start with a girl. But he likes her work and ends up getting closer to her with their shared love for the talent. They end up falling in love

They are both survival shows from the same company (iQiyi), with similar styles of editing and content. However, there are different trainees and mentors in each season.

For those who liked Lin Yanjun, I found most people also liked Luo Yizhou ;)

In both shows one of the leads gets close to the other for an ulterior motive.

In the case of Undercover, the ML is a secret agent tasked with infiltrated a student movement. So the ML gets close to the FL to get to the leader of the movement.

In Catch the Ghost, the FL joins the ML's team in order to conduct an unofficial investigation involving the disappearance of her twin sister.

In both shows the Male Lead pretends to be someone they are not in order to use the Female Lead. However, they end up falling in love with her and, in so doing, they betray their original mission in favor of keeping her safe.

Both shows feature undercover agents who were betrayed by their handlers and led astray. The Male Leads suffer from an identity crisis, wherein they have been playing a role for so long, they no longer know who they are.

The Female Lead in Undercover, however, has a bigger and more important role than the Female Lead in Cruel City.

Although KG focuses on more of a 'game' category and 35SNK on more of a 35 year old rejoining high school as a student to deal with the modern day problems, they both still revolve around teachers trying to deal with said problems.

Both give an unpredictable ride. Both delve into human experiments and super powers. Both have kick ass action scenes.

In both series, the protagonists do a job that is related to people that have recently died. They are handling their personal belongings each with their own way and sometimes helping the people who are left behind or the individuals that have lost their lives. Also in both series the protagonists have some differences, but they work well together. There are also some similar stories.

These dramas are set in society where women are superior to men. Both are chinese time travelling dramas.

- Both drama elaborate comedy and investigation. Yabe Kenzo is more/less have a gintama-style comedy (Inside jokes, parody, refference) while Nemesis is the usual cheesy Japanese comedy.

Both series are about office romance and a boss and employee relationship. Both ML are a nice boss and the both FL are cute. The stories are not complicated, but just light hearted as well
