Flower of Evil is similar to A Shop for Killers Season 2 because both have constant danger, hidden identities, violent pasts, morally grey characters, and the feeling that nobody is completely safe. Both also rely heavily on suspense and characters being dragged deeper into a dangerous world.

However, Flower of Evil is much more of a psychological crime thriller with romance and melodrama. It focuses on a married couple, secrets, murder investigations, trust, and the question of whether you can truly know the person you love.

Same plot of a family fighting over the future ownership of a conglomerate, an outsider (the protagonist) joins with their own agenda. Similar themes of envy, greed, revenge, and ambition. Both dramas feature villain protagonists and have relatively unusual endings. Dramatic BGM as well, both are melodramatic, but Empire of Gold has NO romance.
