Yuko Tanaka previously worked with Director Nobuo Mizuta and Screenwriter Yuji Sakamoto in 2010 NTV drama series "Mother" and 2013 NTV drama series “Woman: My Life for My Children.”

Both stories portray the harshness life brings and the strive of the characters to continue living is beautiful. These both pull on your humanity heart strings.

Both have doctor-actress pairings. Both plots involve pretend relationships. Unlike Fluttering Warning though, I find the "villainy" in Love At First Hate to be too petty.

Although one mainly deals with rape and the other suicide, they have a very similar vibe. These dramas are not for the faint of heart, those who enjoy mushy romance, or those wishing to escape the harsh realities of life. Both dramas do an impeccable job of illustrating some of the gravest and heaviest problems facing society and you will definitely “get the feels” while watching.

Both of these dramas star a female lead with a birth secret, who has a self sacrificial outlook on life. Both lead females are super depressing because their circumstances in life sucks, however these two characters still make you root for them, they are good inherently so you as a viewer wish they would finally find happiness. The day to day dialogues and outdoor events done by all the different characters are similar, both dramas have a slice of life quality to it that you don't see in long running dramas anymore.

In both dramas the ML's father makes a engagement with his friends's daughter and lose touch for years. Years later when the ML's parent ask for marriage the girl's side substitute their daughter with an adopted girl who is their servant.

Both dramas have the female lead travel to an ancient parallel universe. I think the vibes of the two dramas are also similar. The female leads also have a bubbly character (Though Xiao Tan is definitely more sassy) and the male leads are portrayed more cold on the outside but warm on the inside.

Although they have diferent plots, they both have dark, misterious vibe. They have a good plot going on. If you dont wanna watch cheesy, cliche bl give this a watch.
